PRODUCTION INFORMATION

  • Manufacturer: Lilaste Order Armory Division — Aurora Station
  • Affiliation: Lilaste Order | Diarchy
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: LO-CSR/45 Corrosive Sabot — "Blackbite"
  • Modularity: Limited — sabot tip variants available
  • Production: mass Produced
  • Material:
    • Penetrator core: Forged Kov'dra flechette
    • Corrosive payload: Micro-encapsulated corrosive gel/ mist .
    • Propellant/charge: Solid Iadrium .
    • Sabot body: Tensile-durasteel/plastoid composite (peels away on muzzle exit).

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Sabot-Encased Corrosive Vial: Reinforced micro-vial of Korrosin gel protected by the sabot to prevent shatter during firing and ensure intact delivery into the breach channel.
  • Shatter-on-Impact Mechanism: Vial fractures on or immediately after penetration, dispersing the corrosive gel into the wound/breach cavity.
  • Adherent Corrosive Action: Korrosin bonds to metal/composite surfaces and begins aggressive localized erosion of plating, hydraulic seals, and housings.
  • Kov'dra Core Construction: The flechette leverages Kov'dra's shock-hardened matrix and anti-spalling properties for high effect without fracturing.
  • Non-Electronic Delivery: Entire mechanism is ballistic and mechanical — meaning it is not effected by EMP/Ion denial of electronic fuzes.
  • Micro-Encapsulation Stability: Payload is stored inert in microcapsules to reduce accidental activation during transport and handling (fictional stability caveat).

STRENGTHS
  • Armor Denial: Chemically degrades armor and internal components from the inside, effective at disabling sealed systems and joints.
  • Systems Disruption: Ionic component increases chances of disabling local electronics, sensors, and shield control nodes near the breach.
  • Tactical Flexibility: Usable across sabot-capable platforms (specialist rifles, boarding tubes, modified autoloaders) to deny vehicles, turrets, and fortified positions.
  • Surgical Disablement: Designed to create high-value denial effects (engineering bays, weapon housings, walker joints) with single, well-placed shots.

WEAKNESSES
  • Contamination Hazard: the corrosive agent pose significant risks to friendly forces and noncombatants if used in confined environments; extensive decon required after exposure.
  • Limited Immediate Lethality: Primary role is denial/disable if the sabot fails to deposit payload internally (overpenetration, ricochet), immediate lethal effect on personnel is limited.

DESCRIPTION
The LO-CSR/45 is engineered to turn a single, well-placed hit into a cascading engineering failure through concentrated corrosive and metallurgical action. On firing, the saboted projectile achieves very high muzzle velocity; the tensile-durasteel sabot peels away at exit and the forged Kov'dra flechette continues to the target with minimal deformation. The flechette's shock-hardened grain and anti-spalling construction create a narrow, deep breach through armor or housings while remaining intact and lodged in the cavity providing a physical anchor and preventing the interior from filling with hazardous shrapnel that would otherwise interfere with the chemical effect.

Directly behind the core sit micro-encapsulated Korrosin payloads. The mechanical shock of penetration ruptures the capsules and triggers a controlled bloom of viscous Korrosin gel into the cavity. The gel spreads into joints, seals, hydraulic lines, cable looms, and other confined spaces, adhering to surfaces and chemically attacking polymers, adhesives, lubricants, and vulnerable metal interfaces. Korrosin is formulated to be both aggressively corrosive and exothermically reactive on contact with certain alloys: once bonded it not only chemically etches and dissolves materials but also generates localized heat sufficient to soften and melt thin-walled housings, brackets, and fasteners. This combined chemical-and-thermal action accelerates structural failure pins shear under heat, housings deform and fuse, and bearing races soften until mechanical systems seize.

Operationally, the round is designed for progressive denial rather than instant destruction. Seals swell and dissolve, lubrication films break down, servos bind as heat-degraded components seize, feed housings jam as bearings and lubricants are consumed, and routing points corrode and melt until systems lose function. The lodged Kov'dra core converts the breach into a persistent corrosion-and-thermal locus, accelerating internal degradation over minutes to hours and complicating field repairs and recovery. Used precisely, the LO-CSR/45 turns a pinpoint hit into a mission-ending equipment failure with minimal external structural damage and with the added effect of localized melting that can permanently ruin mechanical interfaces and fasteners.

This all seems pretty good. However, an anti-force capability should not be at mass production. According to the restricted material rules voidstone, the primary force resistant material in the galaxy, is a semi-unique material, so I would request you change the production to semi-unique.
