The Western Reaches, the Trailing Sectors, the Sanrafsix Corridor; forgotten and abandoned, untouched by war but plagued by mercenaries and pirates. Out here on the outermost of the Outer Rim, you either lived smart, or you died fast. Because of this, technology has to be tough, rugged, and reliable. It has to be easy to maintain, repair, or replace; tough enough to weather the harshest of conditions; flexible and modular enough to adapt and overcome; potent enough to put down threats without wasting vital resources.
For fifty years and across three generations the miners and employees of LIKON Limited have weathered the Outer Rim on Cotellier, learning and internalizing the harsh realities of life in the badlands. Owing to this, LIKON understands that technology simply has to be built differently and to different standards compared to the Core, and keeps the Outer Rim central to its corporate ethos; producing reliable and modular technology for the everyday spacer, LIKON is committed to producing quality materials and technology that is every bit as tough as its own customers.
RATIONALE
LIKON has existed for nearly fifty years, but almost exclusively as a local corporation (Likon Mining Corp) on Cotellier alongside the likes of Cotellier Transports Limited. It wasn't until a derelict mining platform was secured by Corr Likonis that Likon was restructured as LIKON Limited, capitalizing on the direct influx of Nova crystals and valuable ore that the platform now provided. Under this new structure, LIKON expanded out of mining and refining through a lease deal with Damascus Station, utilizing the station's manufacturing and assembly abilities to realize the designs envisioned by LIKON engineers, funded through LIKON's mining operations. Currently, LIKON is a new and relatively small company - but has already acquired the small bespoke Outer Rim company Pamarthe Anchorage.
