On the planet of Tython where the New Jedi Order base of operations and its members are located. One particular Padawan Learner was inside of Artisan and Quartermasters' workshop facilities. It was the Besalisk aspiring in becoming a future Jedi Guardian for the Galactic Alliance and New Jedi Order. Reading his datapad. He was in deep thought after gathering a lot of data and information. Tyron was looking to build and construct the designs of not one Saberstaff Lightsaber hilt but two of them. All due to his species having four arms and hands within his arsenal. Twice the brutality, twice the required control but becoming a Shield.

Tyron managed to list a few components in order to build ideal hilts to use and wield out on the field. The first one was a Bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse this would allow the Lightsaber hilts to operate in water based environments even places that contain rain. Two of these will be required for both of the Saberstaff hilts that the Padawan intends to construct.

The next part that Tyron had listed on his datapad for his Lightsaber builds was the Dual-phase altering the blade's length. Plus with this mechanic available other Saber Focusing Crystals inside of the hilt can be used if they have specific features. Tyron is always open minded and having additional options allowed him to see alternatives when confronting various scenarios as a Jedi.

Next, he had been sifting through raw materials to gather and use for the outer and inner casings for both of the Lightsaber hilts he seeks to build, learn and train with. One material had become something he discovered during a strike-force mission objective on Obredaan. Cortosis and advised by fellow Jedi that Cortosis Weave would be lightweight and fit into what Tyron was seeking in applying this to the hilt.

The other raw martial that Tyron had been studying in his research for the builds was called Duraplast stumbling upon a bonus fact that if this were combined with Cortosis it'd serve as an ideal component for resisting several Lightsaber strikes. Saberstaff hilts can be exposed if its users end up being in a situation that cannot be avoided so a back-up like this would serve a purpose or few for the Besalisk Jedi.

Now, he had considered three types of Saber Focusing and Colour crystals one of them being quite rare known as a Solari crystal. Tyron promised and swore to himself that he would stay true to the Lightside of the Force, never to stray from it. Apparently when used in a Lightsaber hilt it increases the width of the practitioners blade making it more capable in blaster deflection.

The second crystal that Tyron had looked into it was called Etaan that when added to a Lightsaber hilt build. This crystal would absorb energy bolts, energy based weaponry where the blade of a Lightsaber possessing this specific crystal would increase the power increases becoming dangerous to certain extents. It is also said that a near-deafening crack as well as the flare energy would occur.

Finally, the third focusing crystal that Tyron had read up on in his studies. They were known to be found on the planet Dantooine and recognised as Dantooine or Dantari Crystals among Lightsaber practitioners. A feat to a user of these crystals was that depleted energy of the Force the crystals provided greater focus to recover and regain what energy had been spent. On occasion, fierce and wild combat energy to a wielder can apply further fuel towards their Force power.

Additionally, the Padawan Learner had stumbled upon certain hilt designs; specifically in the Double-Bladed Lightsaber hilt spectrum. Two schematics he had managed to find from the Skywalker Praxeum databanks registered in the Jedi Archives. The first hilt design was known as a Guardian Saberstaff hilt and the second one was referred as the Vanquisher hilt.

With all these factors considered Tyron put his datapad down for a few moments. He closed his eyes over and began entering a state of Meditation to calm and focus on imagining himself wielding these two Saberstaff hilts. In his mind he saw four purple blades at either side of his person. Not only was he envisioning himself with the potentially new Lightsaber hilts but deepening his connection to the Lightside of the Force as a way of preparing.

Tyron waited for his masters to appear. Jedi Knight Kaleleon Kaleleon and if available, his spiritual mentor Kei Raxis Kei Raxis a Jedi Master that he had met and been tested by. They were indeed great teachers in Tyron's perspective not holding him back pushing the Besalisk in and out of the field. The Padawan Learner believed he was active, proactive even and not impatient either. Learning from the likes Jedi Masters Valery Noble Valery Noble , Jonyna Si Jonyna Si and Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor on different aspects as a Jedi.

It was time to advance further as a Jedi, take steps closer in becoming a Jedi Knight and a Jedi Guardian. What kind of Jedi Guardian? He had reflected upon possibilities and they were; a Jedi Ace, a Force Warrior but most of all becoming a Jedi Battlemaster for the future generations of the New Jedi Order wielding Lightsabers. Assigning perhaps a new generation of Lightsaber Combat Instructors making him and other fellow Jedi a force not to be underestimated by foes.

"It's time. No more holding back. A lightsaber is apart of me, an extension. The ones I have have in mind will serve as beacons of Hope and Light to others."

FPA2fZU.png

The application of a Lightsaber, and used within the hands of a Jedi, was and still is a very unique connection. Throughout the generations of Jedi, their counterparts, and even Force Users in general, The lightsaber was tested and proclaimed to be the heart of a Jedi. It is their life to use this weapon not just as a tool, or as an artifact of war, but as a symbol that the wielder stood for many things. Even the various colors, saber blade designs, hilt designs all had a major part to play in how a Jedi carried themselves. As it so happened, my newest student had a unique case. His race of people were known to be larger in stature and size. Moreover, they had two sets of arms. As such, the adaptation of them into the Jedi was unique for my student, Tyron. His time using a traditional Training saber, had opened him up to the possibility of using not just one double bladed saber, but two!

I never would have considered that as an application. Mostly due to my lack of multiple sets of arms. However, I was not one to shy away from exploring new territory. As such, I had prepared Tyron the best I could. Mostly, by giving him the questions he needed to find and research what he wanted, hopefully finding a way to create a weapon, in this case a set of them, of his own.

I knew this feeling all too well. My first saber I ever created with the aid of Romi Jade Romi Jade was a unique process. Even if there were multiple times in my early days where I had lost it or had it taken from me. It was sadly destroyed in the destruction of Csilla. I look back to that time. When during the Hyperspace Wars. How it in some cases felt like yesterday. Yet it was years ago now. My hand resting at my side, and thumb lightly rubbing on the hilt of the Sunsaber I now carried with me.

It had been a while since I had aided someone else in making their own weapon of choice. To say I was nervous was kind of an understatement. I didn't want to fail my student, my apprentice. I wanted nothing more but for them to succeed. Anything less was an act of negligence to me. However, each Jedi had to make their own way. Forge their own path. I could provide him the tools, show him how to use them, but afterwards I would need to take a step back. Let him learn on his own. Decide and make decisions no matter the consequences. Otherwise, he would be no better would I hover over his shoulder.

Moving through the temple halls, I met with Tyron. A bright smile beaming on my face and looking over his form. Knowing what was going to happen next, made me excited.

"Alright, Well now that it seems like you got an idea on what you want to make. There is something that needs to be done."

My hand reached out. Flying from his hip was the training saber I had provided for the couple missions in which he may have needed to defend himself. I waved it back and forth in his face as though I may have been scolding him, but was doing just the opposite.

"You won't need this anymore. However, we are going to go through a trial. It may sound easy, but it will not be. Come, let us head outside."

Even as I started walking away, Indicating for him to walk beside me, I spoke well and make sure to give him the required information, but not too much.

"We will need to reach the specific place in which you can make your saber. Many call it a couple different things. But a Saber Forge, is where we are headed. A place that allows you to build whatever you need to construct your lightsaber. Sound good?"

The Besalisk was deep in thought and was reflecting about the Lightsaber hilts he wanted to build where it was believed they'd serve greater purposes in the hopeful long term. An extension to Tyron as a Jedi, a Peacekeeper and Guardian to all innocents in the Galaxy he pledged to serve. A lot has happened since the Besalisk had taken his first steps into the New Jedi Order.

Inducted and introduced to the New Jedi Order by the Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble Valery Noble which was perhaps uncommon although not too rare for many new Jedi members to meet with the Grandmaster. She also began his journey in helping find a master, mentor of sorts Jedi Master Mak Manto Mak Manto and was grateful for. Later down the line he even received training wielding a Lightsaber from her.

Meeting and learning under Jedi Knight Kaleleon Kaleleon has been quite the experience for Tyron so far. Alongside discovering the Force Ghost spirit of Jedi Master Kei Raxis Kei Raxis learning from a secondary Jedi but in a different form. The experience, knowledge and wisdom the Padawan Learner has learnt so far did take shape but Tyron believes a Jedi never stops learning from anyone or anything.

Back to the present where reality took its form. Tyron heard the footsteps of Kaleleon Kaleleon echoed down the Temple hallway. Before he could do or say anything. The training Lightsaber hilt he had been issued was taken from his utility belt by his master.

"A trial master? Hmm. I never expect anything to be easy Master. Always confronted challenges since I became a Jedi."

Seeing his master walk away, the Padawan Learner followed after Kaleleon Kaleleon and heading outside of the Temple grounds. There was a brief period of silence between them after the Jedi Knight had mentioned a Saber Forge. Tyron's eyes lit up.

"Huh a Saber Forge. It won't be just one Lightsaber hilt Master heh. Sounds good to me. I'm ready."

FPA2fZU.png

He was always so "ready" as he put it. I remember in a time of youth which I always sought to do my best in the challenges ahead. It shone brightly from him in this moment. it gave me some hope that he would become a great Jedi, but at the same time, I knew deeply that this hope, this fortitude can be worn down and broken. A sad smile came to my lips. I did my best to hide it from him and just looked ahead to where we were walking. A soft sigh escaped from me in response to him.

"I expect nothing less of you, Tyron."

Moving further through the Temple grounds, passing other students and mentors heading to classes or otherwise, we walked out onto a terrace. A shuttle was awaiting us. A simple one that would take us the rest of the way. Opening the door, an open hand ushered Tyron into the vehicle. Following suit, I reached forward from the back seat and grabbed the shoulder of the droid.

"Take us to the Winding Path please."
"Of course Master Jedi!"

It replied and started to take us to where we needed to go. Leaning back into the seat, I turned to the man. Looking directly into his eyes. Making sure that he understood the gravity of the coming situation.

"As much as I would like to just throw and obstacle course your way, or make you fight some kind of training droid, that's not the challenge. This one is deeper. You may have heard it time and time again in your teachings with others or with me, but a Lightsaber, the one you make and carry with you the rest of your life, is your very soul. Its not a weapon so much as a symbol of your connection to the force. How you use it, when or if you draw it. Do you wield it with anger and hate? or with acceptance and grace? That is your test. One that starts today, and never ends."

It wouldn't really explain much to him in the current moment. However, it would let him know what was ahead. This wasn't a test of physical strength or skill. Its one of your mental and spiritual capabilities. I had gone through this process twice in fact. Having been demoted by the Council for my actions during the Hyperspace Wars. However, it was my atonement to teach others that they should ask the same questions I did at my age. And from there, show them how to best apply themselves without giving up their oath, their selves in the process.

"Any questions?"

Tyron looked and listened to Jedi Knight Kaleleon Kaleleon respond to him and mention a few other aspects of the journey to the Saber Forge. However, the winds of the Force travelled between the two Jedi, the Padawan sensed an emotion from the Jedi Knight. Sadness. Why? The smile Kaleleon was a mask. Did his master miss the times of where he was a student and built his Lightsaber? No there was something deeper. Tyron wouldn't probe further until Kaeleon opened up and shared his thoughts and feelings.

Reaching the door of the shuttle and being ushered inside by his master. The Besalisk got to a passenger seat and settled down while Kaleleon was communicating with the droid piloting the shuttle. Tyron felt the weight shift as the droid began to guide the shuttle out of the docking bay at the Temple. The silence around the Padawan Learner surrounded his person like vines wrapped around.

His attention fell to the piercing gaze of the Jedi Knight the pair locked eyes. What can be seen from Tyron's perspective was the seriousness coming from his master. The Besalisk was never one to gest or joke around. The amount of attention, energy and time spent to put together his potential Lightsaber builds. This was not being treated light-heartedly at all by Tyron.

"Master, I've heard and seen fellow Jedi regard their Lightsaber hilts as symbols of hope, justice and peace. Everyone is unique when the utilize their Lightsaber in and out of the field whether it'd combative or diplomacy. Will I treat an extension of myself with a Lightsaber with the utmost respect? Certainly. Will there be times to be aggressive in defence and offence? I cannot deny it'd be foolish to disregard that this can happen. Can I wield my Lightsabers to be the symbol with regard to my connection to the Force? Always I will do my best to be a Peacekeeper. A Jedi Guardian for being a Sword and Shield against any dangers that threaten others that are defenceless and helpless. There are always challenges, obstacles and tests to endure. Nothing is easy and no-one should expect anything to fall into their laps."

The tone of Tyron's voice came from somewhere very deep. It all came from his heart, mind and soul intervening them all as one unit. The dedication and determination emitting from Tyron was extraordinary perhaps rare, uncommon for Padawan Learners his age maybe young Jedi Knights too. He remembered Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor had said there were words and more coming from the Besalisk that put him at higher levels than most of his age and experience. He knows there are commitments and promises sworn to keep, maintain in his life time. He will never give-up and Tyron will do everything he can. Not for himself but for others.

"Only one question Master. Do you believe in me?" Tyron asked Kaleleon. This was not out of attention, no, it was deeper. He believed in his master alongside fellow Jedi whom have given their attention, effort and time throughout his service as a Jedi. Members such as Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble Valery Noble - she inducted and recruited him into the Jedi while on Coruscant and taught him basics of how to use and wield a Lightsaber. Another was Jonyna Si Jonyna Si who started and advanced his training in Form I: Shii-Cho the Cathar Jedi Master felt and saw the capabilities of the Besalisk.

When on Tython for the first time Jedi Master Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor and other Jedi shared their stories around a campfire set-up by the Warden of Tython. Along with seeing what Tyron was capable of in Lightsaber Combat displaying what he learned so far. Finally, fellow Padawan Learner Aris Noble Aris Noble had taken time to begin Jedi Guardian training on the planet New Cov. Funny, they both stood at a height of 8 feet tall rare for someone to be at Tyron's level but he has his extra arms and hands.

Time was passing by as the shuttle continued its flight path for the Winding Path that Kaleleon had requested the pilot droid to take the pair to. The mentality and spirit continues to grow. He knows it will be tested and his Besalisk nature always sought challenges which made him dangerous and strong. The moment of acquiring his Lightsaber hilts was drawing ever so much closer and once he obtains them. It'd be from that moment Tyron was going to be unleashed - becoming the Shield and Sword as a Jedi.

Words spoken like any other Jedi. Seeking to be the sword and shield. There was a great feeling in that. I know I had that same feeling for many years. I just... prayed to whatever was some kind of deity within the force that Tyron did not have to go through with what I did. Training and the aspect of being thrown into the deep end? That didn't matter. That was rough training and it was for a purpose. The scars I carried were a testament that I myself was well versed in such problems. No. What I hoped he never dealt with was the self-doubt I had for so long. I still deal with it. His words were deeply ingrained into himself. If they were true to him, or just repeated rhetoric I did not know at the moment. But we would soon find out.

What completely caught me off guard, was his other question. If I believed in him. Mouth agape for a moment at the prospect. Maw closed and I really thought it through. Was I really trusting him? Did I truly believe in him? I could not lie to him. Nor should I. So I was honest with my solemn and sober words.

"I don't think my answer to that matters Tyron. Do I trust that you can complete the trial? Yes. Do I know you COULD be a good Jedi Guardian? Yes. Do I believe in you and your ability to become a better Jedi? I... I don't know."

I was going to open myself to him. To be honest so he knew where I stood. So he knew... something.

"You may not know this, but I was part of the New Jedi Order for a long while. And I... left the order. I went to go fight in a war because I believed it to be the right thing to do. I still do. I helped those I could. However, I had done so in the guise that I should forsake my oaths and promises to others. I broke that. So when I returned from my exile, I was demoted to a padawan. Required to go through the very process you are going through again."

Looking down at my feet. Feeling the wind sliding past and through my hair. My eyes stayed away. Ashamed.

"I have become your master because they believe that in my act of teaching other students, of showing them how to be a Jedi, I can better learn of what it means to be a real Jedi. Maybe one day becoming a Master of the Force. While I am sure and am easily capable of fighting Sith Lords and standing toe to toe against the strongest they have to throw at us... I lack the maturity to be a Master."

Looking clearly at him now, I smiled. Brightly and filled.

"So I hope, oh by the force I hope that you become a good Jedi. Because maybe then it means that I wasn't so bad after all."

The words spoken by Tyron towards Kaleleon were one hundred percent genuine. There were no doubts and it wasn't rehearsed. This was the Besalisk pulling from deep with and not let negativity sway his mindset. The path will never be easy and he accepted that fact initially from the moment he was inducted and spent time with Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble Valery Noble back on Coruscant.

The determination and willpower coming from Tyron remained intact, strong and unwavering. He listened and looked to his master taking on every word spoken. Doing what a student should and would do when with their master.

When Kaleleon answered his question about the Jedi Knight believing in the Padawan Learner to become a better Jedi. Slight annoyance swept over Tyron. Families that raised their children were always wanting their legacies passed on to better shape the future by being better individuals. The Jedi aren't any different they have masters and students undergoing training.

The students should be aspiring in becoming better versions of their masters as well as carrying on the legacies passed down to them. First Mak Manto Mak Manto had disappeared and he hadn't felt or heard from Kei Raxis Kei Raxis since their first meet. Was Kaleleon Kaleleon going to abandon Tyron? Has their master and student bond fractured? Something was wrong but Tyron endured and pressed on.

"You left the Jedi Order. Abandoning the oaths and promises you swore to uphold. Went into Exile and upon return you had been demoted to Padawan Learner. There is no Ignorance, there is Knowledge master. You believe in me as well as placing your trust in me."

Tyron didn't raise those questions to Kaleleon to gain or seek any satisfaction, attention or glory. No. This was to show to his master that he is a Jedi standing before him. No matter the hardship, no matter the journey and no matter the dangers confronted. The Besalisk will never give up only retreat tactically when his best is not viable for the scenarios he interacts with.

The Padawan Learner is a student for various reasons and learning from, training under the Jedi Knight was the way forwards. Could Tyron have learned on his own? Perhaps. Would he have been suitable to fulfil the role of a Jedi being independent? Maybe. Doesn't mean he cannot learn on a one-to-one basis from those who offer to mentor him.

The Force allowed Tyron to sense that there was shame emitting from Kaleleon. All due to the Jedi Knight reflecting on his past. Nobody is perfect. Only those who are foolish and overconfident have those feelings and thoughts within them.

"No-one is perfect master. It is all about doing and giving your best - even there are times some can fall and stumble, stray away from the path. Coming back from perhaps a darker route that takes courage and maturity in among itself. I was never expecting becoming a student under anybody to be a one-way system. No. I believe we and other masters with their students. Learn from each other through the attention and time given. We help one another to remain focused but also have to help ourselves too."

Tyron listened and watched Kaleleon glance towards him seeing the smile upon his master's face appear. A nod from the Besalisk.

"I'm not here to be the best or perfect Jedi master. For those claim that they can it is impossible to fulfil. You can give your best efforts, intentions and thoughts but perfection? Nothing in this universe is perfect. There are always flaws and strengths in everything and everyone around us." Tyron stated as his confidence continued to shine while just being dedicate and simple.

There is always hope and Tyron shared that hope in which Kaleleon would ascend in becoming a Jedi Master and alongside Kaleleon there would be Tyron ascending into the role and rank of a Jedi Knight. Not for his own desires. He is selfless.

"I believe in you progressing and ascending into your next role master. The same applies to fellow Padawans and other Jedi within the New Jedi Order. We all move forwards, we won't stop and if we stumble we help each other to regain."

The energy coming from Tyron was no small feat. His body language, the tone and words spoken they were genuine.

Approaching the Winding Path as the droid was flying the shop towards an opening to land the shuttle that all individuals were inside of. Tyron was determined to create the extensions of himself through the Lightsaber hilts he spent to research and study.

I was...

I had been taken aback. The maturity of my padawan in the way he spoke. While I had strayed from what my oath had been, I did come back. The willingness to come back and face the consequences no matter what they were was the maturity of it. That is why it was seen as a good thing for me. Despite being demoted, it was for a purpose. To reforge what I had broken. Maybe I could use that to my advantage. Even after being proclaimed as a Knight, I had kept that thought of doubt within me. And I guess I could throw Valery the option of her being proven right. Taking an apprentice was good for me.

Nodding to him, there wasn't much else for me to say. My hand came up and clapped to his shoulder. Holding him firmly as we came to a stop. My hand holding him there and just accepting what he spoke.

"You have greatness in you. I wanna be there when you do reach it. Because the light you will give off in that day? It will be magnificent."

Releasing my hold on him, I stood up from the speeder. A small wave to the droid as a thank you before getting out of the vessel. Landing onto the ground, I waited for Tyron to join me. Before looking ahead.

In front of us was the base of a mountain. One that reached to the very heavens of the world. Clouds shifting around it. Holding itself high into the sky. Reaching into my pocket, I pulled out a holo-projector. turning it on to show a map of the mountain. Within it was a small red pulsing light.

"We are at the base of this mountain. You, my padawan, must reach this here. That is where the saber forge is. The trek is not an easy one. You will not need a saber for this. Which is why I took your training saber. Along the way, there will be trials for you to face. Once you have reached the forge, construct your saber. Form them how to you desire. Then come back here and present them to me."

Handing him the projector, I then indicated that he was free to go.

"Start when you are ready. Remember, listen to the force. Let it guide you."

When Tyron heard and saw how his master reacted in the statements he said with everything shared about Kaleleon's past and redemption in a sense. Felt the clap and grasp of Kaleleon's hand keep him in place when the shuttle stopped.

"I'm honoured master. I want you and others to be there for when I do shine a light of hope towards all needing it. Not for my sake but always for others."

Tyron hopped out of the speeder as he followed Kaleleon once they touched the ground, as the vehicle parked with the droid pilot inside and operating the controls. The Besalisk approached his master's side looking at the views open to their sights.

The student glanced toward his mentor where his eyes noticed the holo-projector device being brought out and issued to him. Before he took the item from Kaleleon, the views being taken in by Tyron. Letting his sights take in the atmosphere he could see.

Tyron examined the projection of the map for the mountain base he and Kaleleon were located within. Listened to his master speak.

"I see master. Thank you bringing me here and placing trust in confronting the trials ahead in the path of forging my Lightsabers. Extensions of myself to share the beacon light of hope unto others. I never expect anything to be easy involving me master."

The Besalisk spoke with confidence while being calm, having that aura around and within his person. The eyes of Tyron were filled with a fiery determination look. The path was set for him and Kaleleon set the bar that Tyron will face on his journey.

Remembering that Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble Valery Noble had also said when he first came to the Jedi Order. Trust in your instincts let them be guided by the Force. The light side will shine the route for him to the Saber Forge.

Tyron had his satchel filled with the materials and components required for the Lightsaber builds he had studied and worked on.

"The Force will always be my ally. I trust in it master."

With that said Tyron began to set out on the path for the Saber Forge where his journey as a Jedi will advance further.
