Faction Library Hours (New Jedi Order)

It hardly took them much time to track their target down. Once they were through the gap and walking further in, the sound of the warrior’s footsteps could be heard some distance away. But while it was a simple matter of finding him again, it was a completely different thing trying to fight him. They were both much more agile compared to the hulking Massassi, but their attacks seemed to either have no effect, just bouncing off like they were hitting some kind of barrier.

Massassi warriors were legendary for being formidable fighters, but this one was not natural. Even Kat’s saber pike had no effect, the blade of it just bouncing off the creature’s flesh. Almost like it was more of a barrier than actual flesh.

Sounds like a good idea to me, we gotta keep this guy busy while-” Viera interrupted herself to flip backwards, away from a swing. The Massassi warrior had been devoid of any real weaponry, but had now ripped up a bench and was using it as a club.

Viera had to ‘shuffle’ her mindscape when she felt Oros telepathic request. She was already dealing with a physical threat right now, having the talking brain hear the voices in her head was not something she wanted known.

Fortunately, Master Oros has given us some directions, the source is in the main reading room apparently.

The Thyrsian led the charge as they shifted direction, delivering a number of blows to get the warrior’s attention. Working their way towards the main reading room, the Massassi attacks grew increasingly aggressive. That was until Kat jumped and diverted his attention once again, much to the beings annoyance if the subsequent roar was anything to go by.

Generally speaking, Sith artifacts have an aura to them. Years of exposure to the Dark, either by location, user, or both. So it should be fairly simple to find it. We’ve just gotta do it while being attacked.

Something told Viera that even with Kat attacking, the Massassi warrior was going to become enraged once they got within the vicinity of the tablets.

Her yell at the warrior did not go over as well as she would have liked. The beast attempted to slash at her, forcing her to jump back only for its claws to rip her top with large slashes. Her eyes lit up in fury, "I liked this top! Gone way too far here buster!!" Kat shouted in fury, the cuts lucky did not reach her stomach and there was only two large cuts but it was enough for Kat to flip out in frustration. It had been a new top and she liked the design, which was now ruined and she was already not in the best of moods due to her hangover. Twirling her pike around in her hands, she waited for the monster to make its move. She looked over to Viera, "well, like I said, you are more likely to find it. I can keep this meathead distracted with a fight while you search. Sure it will get peeved about you getting close but something tells me that it isn't going to ignore the enemy in front of it."

Charging forward, Kat slashed and attacked the foe. She knew they weren't dangerous blows or harm the being, but it felt good to be on the attack. Especially to work out her anger at her damaged top. It could be seen as an overreaction to what had happened but Kat wasn't in the mood, today was meant to be a quiet day where she could relax and just read while hungover. Now she was fighting some kinda ancient beast warrior thing, having to look for Sith scrolls to banish it with. There was a talking brain telling her what to do, it was a mess of a morning.

Sighing, she cooled off a little as she created space between her and the Massassi warrior. Then blasted the Force at it, making sure not to damage anything as she did. She had to be aware of the surroundings and keep things flowing. Jumping forward, she pressed the attack. "Is the search going well? Big boy here doesn't seem to be tiring out which is not great." Thankful to her gods that her stomach was settled due to the breakfast, because she would not want to risk barfing while fighting. That would just not be pleasant for anyone.
