Lets Put on a Show!

Nikolai stood behind a curtain on a massive stage, behind him stood a sculpture of what can only be described as a massive metal dragon. He breathed in and out, relaxing himself and rubbing the stubble on his face. This was his first major act since he had joined the Jedi, his first major performance since he had been revealed as a force user. Of course he had kept it a secret, no one outside of the Order knew that he was a force user, and that was for good reason.

He was here to make these people believe in something other wordly, make them believe that he was capable of doing miraculous things without any special ability. If they found he could use the force...it would cheapen the effect. It would still be a fantastic show of course, and thats why they came after all, but it would be somehow...less. Or at least thats the way it was in Nikolai's mind.

Slowly the curtains began to rise and the young Magician found himself staring face to face with nearly two thousand Alderaani nobles. Nikolai stared at them all for a few seconds, saying absolutely nothing. Then finally he simply swept his arm to the side and across his body.

As soon as he did so a trail of what could only be described as light formed within the air. The trail formed and shifted itself, and then became a name...his name. It was a cheap trick, but it was a good and safe introduction. The audience clapped silently, and Nikolai grinned. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my show."

"I am Nikoli Sivyir and i'm assuming that if you're here, you're completely aware of who I am and what it is I do." Nikolai's voice easily carried over the massive audience even though he wore no discernible microphone or any such device. He grinned at them, and then spoke some more "What you are about to see is not magic, it is not an illusion or a gift bestowed upon me by any god. No. What you are about to see is merely a trick, a trap of the mind."

As he spoke Nikolai pulled a simple Sabacc card seemingly from thin air, it appeared as though from nothingness. He spoke fluidly as the card appeared, and continued on without pause. “I urge you all to remember this as my act goes on.”

Then, without another word the show began.

Makayla was one to watch people do tricks. She liked to watch what they did and figure out how they did it. What was the secret that lied and the truth that was hidden. She watch as the card appeared in the mans hand. She was here to watch the show. Infact she had a ticket from a man who was tired of waiting in line to see the show. This was her chance to see a live show with a 'real' magician. She wondered what the man would do next. He talked about that all of the things he was doing was really a trick. but she knew better.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
Jinn sat in the back of the room, his form obscured by shadows as he watched the "magician" go on with his performance. The sith had taken an interest in this parlor show the Jedi had going on, he planned on ruining the show and killing this jedi. Why? Because it would bring a sick joy to the man, he lived to create chaos and darkness he thrived on it even. Being a small boy growing up with a dark influence his whole life, he could barely stand the presence of light in the galaxy...deep within himself he had a undying need to corrupt the light and bring darkness to it. Only when he could travel from one end of the galaxy to the other without sensing any lightside presence would Jinn be satisfied.

He looked around, his mask making long growls as it forced air into his lungs. Soon he would reveal to these people the man's trickery, their anger would be like a drug to the man...a drug he had a deep addiction too.

Nikolai continued with his act, every so often he would flip a card or cause something to explode. It was subtle of course, there was no indication of what he was doing throughout his show. A slip of the hand, a tug of his finger. Even a Jedi Master or a Sith Lord would have extreme difficulty noticing the influence of the force on his tricks. Everything he did was a subtle push and pull, there was no blatant tell that the magican had to his tricks, and not everything relied on the force either, that would take the fun out of it for him.

“Now Ladies and Gentlemen, I must ask you one simple question.” As Nikolai spoke he pulled a small cylinder from seemingly thin air. He spun the small tube between his fingers for a few seconds and then simply placed it on the ground before him. It was not much bigger than a lightsaber hilt, though it was far more plain and entirely undecorated.

Nikolai stared at the small cylinder, then backed away a few steps from it. “Where does life come from? Is it from us? From god? Cosmic coincidence?”

As he said the last word the Magician snapped his fingers. At the exact instance he did so the cylinder fell apart into six pieces. They fell to the floor and revealed a tiny almost unnoticeable plant within. Nikolai looked at it, then waved a hand towards it as if the small green bit of life had some unknown significance.

“I don't know the answer. Nor could I ever possibly find out.” Nikolai stepped up to the plant, walking over to it and then letting his hand hover far above the tiny little bit of life. “but, I can show you what we can do with even the smallest bit of life.”

As he spoke The magican closed his eyes, as he did so the tattoo on the back of his right hand began to glow a deep purple. The plant below was bathed in a blue bask, and suddenly it began to move. The green stem wiggled about, moving and growing taller and taller. Leaves grew from the base, as the plant grew larger and larger.

Finally the plant touched Nikolai's palm five feet high in the air. It wrapped itself around his arm, following the path of his glowing tattoo, until finally the planet wrapped itself entirely around his arm. It did not stop there however. The planet grew around Nikolai entirely, slowly wrapping itself around his torso, then lower body. In only a few minutes Nikolai's entire body became cocooned by what used to be a tiny green plant.

A statue made of green plant now stood where Nikolai had just seconds before. For a few seconds it did nothing, the plant statue just staying where it was. Then it bloomed massively bright. Flowers of all colors spread across the plant one after another, like a wave of beauty.

They stayed for only a few fleeting seconds, and then with a massive burst of light the plant statue burst into flame. A raging torrent of fire carried over the once living statue and tore it to shreds. The Fire was gone in the blink of an eye and the stage stood entirely empty, then a voice rang out from the far side of the theater.

“Such is life ladies and gentlemen.” The voice came from Nikolai who sat with his legs dangling from the side of one of the balcony's of the theater. The crowd led out an audible gasp as the young magician spoke and the people within the booth seemed to jump back aghast. The young Magician simply grinned, and looked down upon the crowd.

Makayla was shocked at the mans last act. It was rather quite a show. A few things here and there that made her think. She looked up at the young man. and saw his feet dangle from above. with a smile she looked back down at her ticket and thought that she might keep it. maybe she could talk to him later. It all mattered about what was going to happen with her though. She liked to watch him and maybe she could see the show again to figure out what he did. none the less. She was interested.

The tricks were good, there was no doubt about that. One could barely tell that the force was being used, if Jinn could not sense the lightside presence of the man he might have never knew that the force was being used. Jinn began to clap his hands together hard, creating a thunderous echo that rolled over the crowd as he stood up. "Impressive, most impressive. You have truly mastered how to turn the force into a money grabbing weapon." Jinn boomed calmly through his breather.

He started making his way to the stage with his hands tight around the opening of his nerf leather jacket "I thought the Jedi were never supposed to use their power for personal gain." Their were a few confused whispers from the audience as Jinn stepped onto the stage "This man has been lying to you all. Making you pay to see something that you all could see by taking a simple trip to the Jedi temple, free of charge. There is no skill to what he does, it is simply a illusion created by the force...he is paying you to come in here why he beams false images into your minds!" Jinn boomed out, hoping that the thought of each of their minds being under assault would cause an angry outburst....oh how right he was.

Nikolai simply raised and eyebrow once the brutish man began to speak, he did not give an answer at first but simply studied the man. Interesting, it was kind of a waste of time to come here and expose Nikolai with absolutely no proof on his part, but to each their own. The young Magician simply sat there and lounged up in the booth, he looked at the people behind him and then at the masked man on the stage. He had an expression of pure and utter amusement on his face, as if he knew everything that was about to happen.

"Illusions?" Nikolai said inquisitively with a wry sense of amusement in his words. He could feel the seething crowd below, although they seemed to be calmed a bit by how Nikolai himself reacted to this situation. "No. I'm afraid you're incorrect on that part my friend. There are no illusions born of the force here, no mind tricks, no breaking of reality."

He spoke with absolute humility, and the crowd seemed to go back in his favor. Nikolai was all smiles, even on the inside he was not angry. He welcomed this challenger, it made the night all the more memorable for those within the crowd. Of course the young Magician had no idea that this man meant him any harm, nor did he have any idea that he was a Sith, he had no way of knowing such things. To him this was all a game, and one he quite enjoyed playing. "I told every one of you at the beginning that everything i have done and will do tonight was nothing more than a trick."

"And i can assure you, it takes quite a bit of skill to do what i do." Nikolai said it all with a massive grin on his face, it was as if he taunting the masked man that now stood on his stage.

Makayla watched as the man walked down the ile past her seat and talked about the man using the force. It wasnt unexpected for the magician but for the masked man it was unexpected. he was testing the young man still on the overhang. She rested her hands on the blaster she wore under the side skirt that she wore. they were hidden and out of the way of being hit when walking by someone. She looked between the men when they were talking about weather this was an act of the force or an act of slight of hand? She didnt know who to Believe. right now she was with the man on the rafters.

Child of the Darkness
Jinn began to laugh loudly, his booming voice washing over the crowd like a tidal wave. He looked up to the young man on the rafters, he seemed to be taking this whole thing like a joke. Well, he was still a Jedi and so he knew he could get to him one way. He looked around the Audience and spotted a young and very attractive woman (@[member="Makayla Shaw"]) sitting and watching the new turn of events.

"Young lady, please join me on the stage." Jinn said calmly, raising his hand out to her as if it were a request before using the force to pull her into his grasp. The woman flew straight into Jinn's arms and the behemoth of a man wrapped her in a tight hug around her waste and looked her right in the eyes

"What a lovely, lovely girl you are." Jinn whispered into the girls ear before looking up to the man in the rafters and putting his hand on the girls forehead, ready to snap her neck "It would be a shame if she were to die tonight. I can snap her neck before you can make it down here." Jinn said with darkness in his eyes "Come on Jedi" Jinn hissed like an animal "Use your tricks!"

Makayla was forced onto the stage and had a large hand on her head. She was almost crushed with the size of the mans arms. her hand was ontop of his that were placed on her head. She had a slight hold of his thumb and when he utterd his last words she twisted it with a nice solid snap. She quickly took his hand away from her and twisted around forcing him into a armlock. he may have been stronger than her but she let go as soon as she got him in the lock. She pulled out her pistols faster than anyone could say the word Help and trained it on the man. "Dont touch me again."

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
Jinn looked calmly at his thumb as the pain shot through it, he chuckled slightly as he grabbed it and looked straight at the girl. "You seemed to have ruined my magic trick. No matter..." Jinn growled as he snapped his thumb back into a normal position with little more than a grunt of pain "Here is another. with a fast stroke of his hand he hit the girl with a force push before using his other hand to call his lightsaber into his grasp and jumped into the audience who began screaming at the sight of the red blade. Without hesitation he began cutting members of the audience down, using the force to pull the doors closed. He wanted to drink up the anger of the audience, but he would settle for their fear as he cut them and their precious magician down like dogs.

What the Sith failed to realize was that even if Nikolai wanted to help the girl, which of course he did. He couldn't help her. His knowledge of the force simply did not extend that far. He knew telekinesis and that was about it, he had not yet been taught any advanced skills by his Master...who he had only met a week ago. Nikolai was far from a full fledged Jedi, and even if he were...there was nothing he could do.

Before he could even answer however the girl managed to free herself from the mans grasp and pull a pistol on him. Nikolai looked at her with wide eyes, same as the crowd. The people in the audience took that as a cue to realize this was no longer part of the act. The next thing that the magician knew...panic set in.

People began to scream and yell and all at once two thousand people attempted to leave the opera house all at once. It was a mad rush, and it didn't help that soon security ran onto the stage all pointing weapons of some sort at the Sith.

Nikolai just sat in the booth above, completely and utterly bewildered about what was going on. The Magician however soon dropped to the floor, as soon as he saw that the Sith had bounded into the crowd. He fell onto the floor and began to run towards the man. The crowd around him scattered running away and towards the exits which were being pulled open by heavy security.

Jinn had only the powers to force push and pull at the moment, for he was still an apprentice, but he was powerful enough to deal with a few security guards and a Jedi padawan. His spun his lightsaber furiously as the security opened fire on him with their weapons, the bolts of energy being redirected in every direction and impacting with civilians. The fear that was drowning the opera house was overwhelming, Jinn loved every bit of it. He called upon their fear to fuel him, it was euphoria for the Sith who continued to move towards the security as he deflected their rounds. They tried to back up, but the ocean of civilians were blocking their path, leaving them helpless to the Sith who dispatched them with a quick flourish of his blade.

As their heads hit the floor and rolled, Jinn began to laugh deeply as he turned to face the Jedi who had jumped from his spot on the rafters. "Yes, this is amazing! Run from me cowards, run from me...FEAR ME!" Jinn spat as he soaked in the emotions of the fleeing crowd like he was a deathstick addict having his first fix of the day.

Makayla was pushed by a invisable hand into the seats that everybody had left. She was dazed from the impast but soon got up to see that he was cutting people down. She would just have to deal with him again. She aimed her pistols at his head and fired twice then again at the knees alternatige between them four times as she walked forward. "Leave them alone Im the one who broke your thumb."

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
Jinn spun on the girl opening fire with her blaster and began deflecting the bolts "I'm not killing these people because of my thumb!" Jinn said as one blaster bolt slipped through his defense and hit his arm, evoking only a slight flinch from the man. He did not stop is assault on the girl until he was close enough to grab her blaster, which he did. With a quick and powerful swipe, Jinn threw the blaster to the far side of the room. Next he attempted to grab her throat, swinging his hand forward ferociously to wrap his hand around her throat. If he made contact he would lift the girl into the air by that pretty little neck of hers. "I'm doing it because I can!"

Taking a glimpse back to see that the Jedi had began a charge through the crowd towards him, he smiled under his mask "You won't escape me this time, you and the Jedi will die here"

As the masked brute ran towards the girl Nikolai began to concentrate. His feet struck the ground over and over again until he jumped up onto the seats. He bounded over them with incredible agility, allowing the seat backs to support his weight. Over and over again he stamped on them until finally he came to a stop.

With only the slightest of jerking motions Nikolai moved his right hand. It was barely noticeable to even himself, but as he did so the force began to wrap itself around the girl(This is GM'ing a bit if you want me to edit tell me) and immediately threw her backwards several yards away from the masked man.

As soon as the girl was clear Nikolai pulled a white deck of cards from no where. Instantly he threw three of these cards towards the masked man who stood opposite of him. The three cards flew towards the Sith at an impeccable speed, and as soon as they got close to him they would each explode, triggered by Nikolai and the force. The explosion would not be massive, but enough to injure the man.

Makayla's pistol was thrown but she still had her other one. as the burly man reached for her the young man used the force to push her away from the grasp. She stopped herself before she slammed into a row of chairs. And like any Illusionist they had a deck of cards. but the cards that were thrown were like bullets from a slugthrower. Hard to see because of how thin they were. and faster than lightning. It looked like she chose the right guy to side with.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Vitor Imperieuse had been watching this show for quite some time. Unlike the rest of the audience, who panicked, he calmly slid across the wall, his Sith Sword unsheathed as he watched what happened from afar. He noticed the Jedi as a memory returned to him - he was a Jedi once, a long time ago. He knew how to use the Force to its full extent. And though most of that knowledge was lost to him, there was still some he knew instinctively.

Silently chanting some arcane words to himself, the sword he wielded began to glow a dark purple, gathering the energy of the Force into it. Were he to contact the lightsaber of the Darksider - he assumed the person in front of him was not a Sith - it would discharge into the weapon, causing a feedback loop that would shut the weapon down for some time, enough time for him to throw the Darksider into a wall.

Put down your weapon, Sith, unless you want to suffer at my blade!

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
Jinn spun around as soon as the girl was shot from his grasp. The Jedi had finally come out to play. Jinn was expecting the boy to charge at him and get close, where he would stand no chance. However, the magician instead started throwing cards in his direction, each one moving as fast as a bullet. The sith was able to move from their direct path, but he was caught completely by surprise when the three cards began exploding. Before the brute could realize what happened he was throw across the room, flaming pieces of car shrapnel lining the arms of his coat.

Jinn groaned as he got up from the ground, his head pounding from the impact. He stared the Jedi down with a dark gaze before shifting his eyes to a group of security guards who were just running over to deal with the lunatic with the mask. Jinn grabbed the three men with the force, then brought his hand across in a sweeping motion to throw the armed men at the Jedi. The man would either take a hit from a body or get distracted in the attempt to save their lives, either way it gave Jinn time to recover.

Before Jinn could get up another Jedi ran into the room chanting some heroic BS. Jinn was in no mood and started throwing seats at him with full force.

Nikolai had no choice but to save the men, though he hardly used the force. Instead he used himself as more of a buffer to save the three armed guards one after another. He caught the first one with his right hand, slowing the man down to a crawl but still letting him fall roughly on the ground. He did the same thing with the other two men, slowing them down not to get seriously injured but still allowing them to hit the ground hard.

The Magician stopped himself after wards, finally allowing his feet to hit solid ground. He panted slightly, catching three men in full armor was not a simple thing to do, and he still had to fight the Masked brute...or at least get him away from here.

Slowly Nikolai looked up. He noticed that most of the crowd had managed to escape outwards now, with only a few still standing by the doors in a hushed panic. All around the young Magician were corpses, he looked at them with a grim face and then immediately turned to the masked brute. He immediately noticed that the man was now throwing chairs in the direction of someone else.

Nikolai looked over to them, but didn't bother to call out or say anything. The other man was wielding a sword of some sort so he assumed he could handle himself. He was far more concerned about the girl who he had thrown, he looked for her and found her laying on the ground far away from the masked man.

With a nod to himself Nikolai once again pulled out his deck of cards. He fingered them, and then threw three more. This time however he didn't throw them directly at the masked man, but instead onto the floor below him. The Magican hoped to break and crack the ground around him and force the man into the tunnels below the opera house where he could no longer harm people.
