OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Lervon
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Yurb (Canon/Chaos Sub)
  • Average Lifespan: 1000 years
  • Estimated Population: Planetary
  • Description: Lervon are a Sentient, silicon based, naturally Force sensitive species that consist of multiple crystals, giving them a sand like body that can shift in form, and glowing “eyes” that can vary in shape and color. The Force both serves to hold them together, and to give them most their senses. Their glowing eyes appear to be a special kind a crystal that supplements their Force based sight. When in a humanoid form, most Lervon appear to be bald, faceless figures, only possessing their eyes. Some Lervon may mimic hair and clothing however. This strange appearance has caused them to be nicknamed “Sand Spirits” by some, and tend to make people uneasy around them.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Any
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.8 m (Humanoid form)
  • Average Length of Adults: 4.5 m (Nexu form or similar)
  • Skin color: Mostly tans, but depends on where an individual is raised.
  • Hair color: None
  • Distinctions: Sandlike composition, shapeshifting ability (between human and nexu sized forms individually, and dust clouds), glowing eyes, males and females tend to take on characteristics that carbon based species can understand and can change depending on company, general erryness, unique lifecycle (Both parents provide a “seed crystal.” Males and females each produce a different kind of seed crystal that are required to form a new Lervon. These crystals are placed in a “growth jar” with local minerals and water. The seed crystals dissolve in the water and begin to reform into sand-like crystals. These crystals begin to absorb and convert the minerals in the growth jar until a year is up. At this time, the young Lervon is old enough to leave the jar, and is mentally similar to a human toddler. They continue to absorb and convert minerals around them into new “sand” until they are 20, at which they are considered mature. Lervonian twins are possible, but are uncommon and usually are visually distinct from one another with their eyes and the free portions of their form. When this happens, the twins must share some portion of their “sand,” essentially attaching them together by as little as a band, and as much as their entire body. A Lervon is considered an elder at 900 years old.)
  • Races: None
  • Force Sensitivity: All (The Lervon as a species are all Force sensitive and have specific abilities that all members have access to. Lervon all possess a telekinetic ability over their own body structure, and use this to both hold themselves together and shapeshift. Along with this, the bulk of their sensory input is channeled through the Force, with the exception of touch and hearing. Sight is also partially provided by the glowing crystals of a Lervon's eyes, though it is still mostly done through Force Sight. The last ability that Lervon is to easily form and sever Force Merges between other Lervon. These Merges allow Lervon to coordinate their themselves more effectively when multiple individuals come together for a single, larger form. It is also common for mates to share a Force Bond between each other, formed in a similar way to the Force Merge.)
Strengths:
  • Shapeshifting: Lervon can shift their form to anything ranging in size of human to nexu. They can also form into clouds of sand. Multiple individuals can also come together to take on larger forms. Their shapeshifting is not as much for]disguise, with the exception of sand, and more for simply changing their form. Most can roughly shift their form into anything they know the general appearance of, so long as they have enough "sand" to actually form the being or thing, but many will study certain forms closely to more closely mimic them. They can also form spikes, blades, and clubs to use in combat, and can disperse into a cloud, so long as all the crystals stay withing an inch of each other. Multiple Lervon can also work together to create larger forms, and some pairs with remain in joined states, similar to twins.
  • The ability to quickly form and sever Force Merges with others of their species.
Weaknesses:
  • When adults, once crystals are melted by high heat (blaster fire, intense flame) they can not be reformed over time, and losing over 50% will result in death.
  • Due to their ghost-like appearance and emotionless voices, Lervon often make others outside their species uncomfortable. This makes it difficult for them to interact with non-Force Sensitives.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Other (solar and electric energy, the Force)
  • Communication: Lerdos (spoken), can learn to speak practically any other language.
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: None
  • General behavior: In general, Lervon tend to keep to their own kind, as others are often uneasy around them. This also tends to give them tends to give them some confidence, and means that they can form larger things if needed. Despite this shut in attitude, they tend to be curious about others and new worlds, though they tend to remain on Yurb. They can also seem cold to outsiders, but this is generally due to non-Force sensitives not being able to see how they express their emotions outside of their eyes. Despite this, they’re not actually as cold as they seem, they simply have trouble showing it through speech, but more through the Force itself.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Lervon have been a part of the Galaxy since the days of the Old Republic, though have often kept to themselves, other then some jedi and Republic representatives. During the rise of the Empire, their world was blockaded to keep the Force wielders on their world, since destroying all of them was basically impossible. Lervon were still able to sneak aboard starships and leave, so it wasn’t very effective, but it did give the Lervon some space stations after the original fall of the Empire.

After the fall, the Lervon have basically kept to themselves, not really interacting with others off world. Those that have left often take up jobs as bounty hunters or assassins, where their shapeshifting can be put to “good” use. Others have simply begun hitchhiking around the Galaxy.

While the Lervon have stayed reclusive, many still remember them, more as spirits then beings. The general discomfort around their ghostly appearance has never really fallen away, and could be why the species as a whole has chosen to remain on their homeworld.

Hello, [member="Argos Xalen"]

I have just a few suggestions you could make.

This field will have to have something, just say "Not Applicable" if there isn't anything that goes there.

Breathes: Type !V/Any
This appears to be a simple typo. I think you mean Type IV but you could just say Any.

As for their innate Force-Sensitivity, perhaps you could elaborate on since they all exhibit this trait. Are they all simple attuned to the Force but don't necessarily but don't necessarily show any powers? Do they have any innate abilities? Just be mindful of the rules for species.
  • Completely Force sensitive species may not start off with fully developed Force Powers. That is a matter of the individual, not the race. They are born force sensitive, but that is a potential, rather than an absolute. All Force sensitive species may have passive abilities that do not require training (improved reflexes, low grade pre-cog, etc), but are prohibited from having active abilities (force lightning, telekinesis, etc). Exceptions are made for artificially engineered species (Sithspawn, etc), if they have been tailored for specific abilities. Racial abilities that are not affiliated with the Force (Ex. Zeltron Empathy/Pheromones) are exempted from this. These species should include appropriate weaknesses, such as difficulties with Force Null fields.
Perhaps you may also want to elaborate on their shapeshifting abilities as a Distinction of the Lervon, maybe mention how complex or simplistic they usually have.

Okay, these guys are really cool. Gives me the sand coyote feels from the second Atlantis animation movie.

Enjoy and I expect to see more nice ideas from you. ;)
