Name: Lashtu

Region: Yuuzhan Vong Galaxy
System: Lashtu
Suns: Main Sequence O class
Orbital Position: Habitable Zone

Moons:
Once there were two moons orbiting the planet, each with massive shipyards constructed upon them. The remains of these moons have naturally fallen into an orbit around the planet, giving rise to the current dual rings that are seen.

System Features: Remains of several artificial satellites and asteroid belts litter the system.
Rotational Period: 16 Local Hours
Orbital Period: 214 Local Days

Class: Terrestrial
Atmosphere: Type III Breath Mask Required
Climate: Similar to Venus
Gravity: Standard

Primary Terrain:
Lashtu is covered in craters, gorges and other scars of a war that has long since pass. Much of the infrastructure that had been dedicated to building massive vessels and warships has since been wreaked or destroyed. The world is covered in a thick cloud cover, with very little light seen from the sun. Since the war, its massive generators have gone hay wire, shooting out towering bursts of electrical energy, with some bursts cutting through the clouds and striking the remnants of power relays that orbit the world from its destroyed moon shipyards.

Major Locations:

The Shipyards of Lashtu were some of the busiest in the Galaxy, that was because of the hard work ethic and rapid building nature of the Lashta species. These shipyards covered most of the world and even extended to their two orbiting moons, covering the world in a massive technological city that turned out vessels of all shapes and sizes nearly every day. Their own stance of neutrality allowed them to sell their vessels to all sides and profit from many, though even these great shipyards appeared as no match against the Yuuzhan Vong.

Culture:

The Lashtans were a culture much like the Givin. They had a focus on mathematical problems and used their mastery to create vast starships and vessels that could rival even those that the Mon Calamari Shipyards produced. This alone crafted their entire society which was focused upon the creation of vessels. Their childhood started out in these shipyards, with the young learning first how to construct small starfighters and shuttles, while only the oldest and most knowledgeable of the species permitted to even fathom the construction of massive warships.

Religion, Art, Government, all things focused and revolved around the Lashtan's drive to create larger and more powerful vessels. They believed that when their time came, their maker would judge them based upon their greatest achievement and only those deemed worthy would be granted entrance to their afterlife in which they could finally rest. While those deemed unworthy would toil for all eternity on vessels that would never be completed.

Technology:

Lashtu was a highly technologically advanced society. Massive shipyards covered the world, and the species was advanced enough to be able to produce and transmit energy from the planet to the moons above through the utilization of large energy relays. These relays have since gone hay wire and unleash electrical bursts to orbiting relays even now.

History:

The Lashtan's were always a people whose focus was on building vessels. From the first tribe that managed to cobble together a canoe to the massive warships that loomed in orbit to protect its shipyards. The Lashtan species had a love for their craft, even going so far as to remain neutral in many conflicts just to ensure that they were the ones who both sides bought their vessels from. While this earned the ire of many species, it also earned them allies in many others.

When the Silentium and the Abominor went to war, the Lashtans were cranking out vessels left and right for one side or the other, though most of their vessels found their way into the hands of the allies of the Silentium. When the Yuuzhan Vong began their campaign of Galactic Genocide, the Lashtans rose up with their vessels in a bid to stop them.

For a time they managed to hold out, though seeing the inevitable writing on the wall, the Lashtan Government came to a final solution. Detonating many of their shipyards, they destroyed their own moons and homeworld in a bid to wipe out as many of the Vong as they could, leaving their world scared and lifeless in the process. The species went out with a bang and on their own terms.
