NAME: Lahi Te'ala
FACTION: Jedi Academy Network
RANK: Padawan
SPECIES: Diathim
AGE: Immature Attitude, Age Unknown
SEX: Monosex Race [Feminine Appearance]
HEIGHT: 8'9"
WEIGHT: 150
EYES: Pure White - Pupiless, Glowing
HAIR: Pale Rose-White
SKIN: Glowing White
FORCE SENSITIVE: Force Sensitive

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strengths:
Flight [Racial] - Diathim such as Lahi are capable of self sustaining flight at speeds capable of breaking the atmosphere of most inhabitable planets. Their six wings appear to be made of pure energy, as do much of their bodies, and they are capable of flying through space unaided, allowing them to fly even in a complete lack of wind or atmosphere.

Energy Form [Racial] - Diathim are not people of completely solid form, though they are also not true energy beings. They do not, however, require air to breathe, and the vacuum of space causes no harm to them on its own. They do still, however, require food and sleep, like most races.

Temperature [Racial] - Diathim are capable of flying unaided and unprotected through the extreme heat and cold of space, without harm. They can handle temperatures of a far higher level than humanoid races.

Hypnotic Beauty [Racial] - Lahi, like most Diathim, are found to be one of the most beautiful creatures in the galaxy, to the point of causing starship wrecks as week willed pilots lose focus on their piloting to gawk at Diathim they spot flying past. Their mere presence makes negative emotions begin to bleed away. Non-human races report that Diathim look like 'heavenly' versions of their own races, much as humans see them as lithe beautiful human-like creatures.

Telepathy - Lahi is especially skilled in using the Force to manipulate the minds of others, a natural extension of her race's hypnotic powers, brought to an extreme forefront due to her Force Sensitive nature. This also extends to non-verbal conversation ability, a rare and powerful ability that allows her to speak to even those she does not share a common language with - though she cannot force her way into others thoughts, as of yet.

Mentally Strong - Related to her natural talents at mind manipulation, Lahi is naturally resistant to the reverse, though not to the extent of a Toydarian or other force-resistant race. She also has a very powerful control over her negative emotions, almost never falling to rage - though sadness frequently still visits the angel's heart.

Quick to Understand - Lahi is clever, and when taught is quick to understand even foreign concepts. This does not mean she can master advanced skills in an instant, but when told the basics of how to keep a hyperdrive from overloading, she is capable of properly following the instructions to the T.

Weaknesses:

Untrained - Lahi is older than many Jedi padawans, and yet has only recently found the Network for proper training. Her powers are uncontrolled and unrefined - she is more a danger to herself than to anyone else, should she attempt to use most abilities.

Limited Knowledge - While full of good intentions, Lahi knows little of the outside world, her people's world far from often visited, and knowing little of the outside universe. She comes across as rather dim witted to many people.

Extreme Pacifism - Lahi finds the idea of hurting another sapient being to be beyond just wrong - she actively sickens when forced to do so, leaving her weak and helpless in battle.

Uncontrollable Compassion - When seeing others in danger, misery, or other deplorable circumstances, Lahi loses all focus on the mission at hand - were she asked to escort a noblewoman through town, she would still take the time to give food to the urchins of the streets, even at the risk of delaying important negotiations.

Terrible Duelist- While stronger than she looks physically, she has little to no strength for fighting. She could not deflect a training bolt from a simple sphere-droid, let alone participate in a duel. Attempts at making her physically stronger have been lackluster in result.

Low Endurance - Much on the same reasoning, she has little physical endurance - though flight for her species seems to take little energy, the physical activity of actually fighting is incredibly draining on her, and she tires in half the time most padawans do, during physical training.

Overly Inquisitive - The term 'need to know basis' doesn't exist for Lahi - she wants to know everything, about everyone. She will ask a million questions, and often will speak without understanding that she should just be quiet for a bit, so she can try and clarify something.

APPEARANCE:
Like most 'Angels', Lahi appears slightly differently to every species that sees her, all of them claiming a heavenly beauty who looks similar to them is nearby. The common thread to all of these are a few things however - Lahi is tall for most humanoid species, standing taller than even a Wookie, but her body is always more lithe than the average for any race, never seeming to have much in the way of muscle definition. No matter what or who looks upon her, her skin and eyes are always a pure, glowing white, as is befitting her energy-like nature, with no color tainting any part of her body, besides her hair.

Her hair is a very pale red color, that does not glow like the rest of her - the color reminiscent of the corona of a setting sun, if nothing else. It flows down her shoulders, and is grown quite long currently - reaching her mid back, and thus easily being multiple feet in length. She wears long dresses that, none the less, seem to stay close to her 'skin', a natural attraction towards the energy keeping even flowing robes held close to her body. When in public she is prone to wearing heavy robes with hoods, and face masks, so that she can properly hide her heritage and not stand out.

She looks young, regardless of anything else - her face has a youthful gleam to it, visible despite any difficulties in picking out specifics of her looks. Six beautiful pure white wings come out of her back, which are incredibly large, and yet seem to have no proper mechanism for flight, not even flapping when she is actually flying.

BIOGRAPHY:
Millius Prime and the Iego it orbited with a myth, says the scholars of the Republic. The 'Angels' were nothing more than a hoax by desperate Spacers trying to explain those who got lost or jumped to bad coordinates and went missing. This was never the truth, though, they were real.

Lahi was born special, marked - known as Force Sensitive from childhood, an auspicious sign amongst the Diathim, much as with other species. She knew the love of her people, whom all shared their love of all children, she knew the love of her friends, the many whom she grew up with, and she was not much different than others. A loving, energetic interest in all things from 'outside' was in her as much as it was in anyone else of her people. The glorious, wondrous metal whales that flew through space like she did! They were so wonderful and great, but then they always fell, fell down to the surface of Iego, where she as told not to go.

Life would be different for Lahi, had she always followed that rule - but after years of learning, of maturing, of adventuring, and of seeing these metal whales crash, she flew to the surface of the world where the whales rested. And she saw no whale - she saw a man, broken, bleeding, thrown from the carcass of what her family had surrounded, crawling in the sand. It looked so frail, so weak, so small, it was a human, though she knew it not. Had these whales eaten one who was exploring space, and then come to eat them?

She could not resist the urge to help the frail creature, and lifted it into her arms easily - it weighed so much, despite being so little, and she could see its eyes, the strange blueness, like that of a lesser creature, of the food she may eat. But she stared into it, and it stared into her, and she could hear it speaking, without hearing a word it said. It was no simple explorer, it was a Jedi, exploring the tales of the Diathim from ages back, hoping to find the space angels that were so compassionate. It told her the stories of how people would fly to find them, and then disappear. It taught her about how they had been making people, these small, weak, fleshy people crash, and die upon the Demon's Planet.

He did not survive long, she could not heal him, he could not heal himself, the cause was lost - no name was exchanged, only a teaching, of what he was, of what he represented, of the Evil in the galaxy, hurting others. Of the Evil she had unknowingly caused with her family, to so many others. But he taught her of more than that - she knew she could use the 'Force', though her people did not call it by its name, but she did not know what it was, how it could be used - only that she was special, lucky. Now she knew what she was, was what he was, and was something she could not ignore.

She took him home, through space, guarding his body, and burying it amongst her people, before returning to the crash. She would need this 'starship', to make amends, to find her way, to make up for her horrible mistakes.

SHIP:
H4M0NY - A standard Jedi starship, in horrible repair. Previously crash landed on Iego, Lahi repaired it with her rudimentary skills, learned over the course of weeks of practice. Looted from hundreds of crashes, the ship looks like scrap, and flies like it too, but it got the Diathim to where she needed to go.

Aw, thank you, that's super nice of you to say! I just got nervous with people saying this type of character would be responded to badly! I am skittish sometimes. :3 I look forward to... uhm... well, I'd say RPing with you, but I think your Dark Jedi Master might eat my tiny little padawan whole. :p

[member="Lahi Te'ala"] - I have no characters I can see that would be suitable really... Two warriors ([member="Ijaat Akun"] and [member="Julius Sedaire"]), a Sith Businessman (Uriel/Ostanes here) and a Seer/Healer ([member="Aitis Powarth"])... I look forward to seeing where this goes, and if I *can* help with a thread, just as... Lahi and Aitis might get on well enough.
