have found themselves face to face with both Jedi and Sith, oftentimes engaging in personal combat with them. To effectively fight these threats, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has begin investing in anti-force technologies, producing a number of different weapons that are specifically tailored to take down Jedi and Sith.Slugthrowers have traditionally been seen as "Anti-Jedi" weapons due to the nature of the physical projectiles that they fire. A bullet deflected by a lightsaber has a chance to turn into molten fragments of metal or shrapnel, and can easily injure a Jedi's or Sith's hands and arms if they are not careful. Bullets also cannot be deflected back toward the person who fired them, making them invaluable assets against any lightsaber wielding opponent.
The L7 Ribbon Rifle takes this concept to the extreme by firing five bullets at once in a vertical line. In addition to being difficult to block, any bullet that is successfully deflected by a lightsaber always has a chance of becoming shards of molten metal, especially when five of them are fired at once. This makes the L7 Ribbon Rifle a highly valuable tool in the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant's arsenal of weapons against Jedi and Sith.
