Gazing up at the menu, Lucia waited until Dio finished his order before stepping forward to start her own. In stark contrast to the fawning expression the woman behind the cash terminal had splayed across her features upon seeing Dio, Lucia received a cold, judging glare. Nevertheless, the gynoid didn’t pay it much mind.

“I would like a Spicy Bluurg with quint-berry juice and size medium Chandrilan fries on the side, please.” Lucia said, before offering the golden-skinned gladiator a playful smile.

With that, Lucia took out her credit chip and put in the payment for both of the orders. Next to the cost of power cells, ammunition, fuel, and yet more essentials, the price of the food was barely worth noting in her budget. However, in that respect, it seemed to be priceless pleasure.

Their food arrived not long after she finished paying, situated on trays which Lucia and Dio carried to an open booth. All the while, the gynoid drank in the novel smells of the food as they wafted into her olfactory receptors, allowing her to identify the food all the way down to its chemical and molecular composition.

“I estimate that your double bacon burger has 850 calories, 6.5mg of iron, 200mg of calcium, and 1680mg of sodium.” Lucia observed as she slid into the booth, before taking a seat.

“If you do not mind my asking, How do you intend to spend those nutritional resources, Dio?”

Hearing Lucia go with something completely different from what he suggested had him return her playful smile. Happy to see her choose something that seemed to interest her instead of what he recommended. As Diodoros went to grab his own credits he saw that Lucia had already paid for their meals. Which he didn’t expect since he was the one trying to get her to try some food with him. Then again he understood that whoever she was and where she was from had the cash to spare.

When the pair finally got to sit down, Diodoros was ready to chow down. But stopped before his first bite, listening to Lucia start listing off some of the nutritional breakdown of his meal. He raised a brow to her words, much of what it meant going over his dense head. He could better understand her question afterthought. Wondering what he was going to do with the ‘spend’ it.

He thought for a bit, his blue eyes looking up some to think of how to answer the synthetic woman’s question to the best of his ability. Despite Diodoros being more or so a big meathead, this was actually something he was decently knowledgeable about. “Hmm, well you know how you stuff like power cells and charging to keep yourself running. This is kinda like that.” He said, referring to his burger. “Also this muscles of mine need to come from somewhere. Big muscles need big protein, my old coach used to say, and I don’t know if you’ve seen a gym I made for myself on my ship. That’s more or less where this meal is going to.” Diodoros said with a slight chuckle afterwards. Considering his natural talents afforded to him as a Firrerreo, it was inhuman how quickly the golden man could grow his muscles. After his explanation Diodoros finally took a bite out of his burger, now having a sizable chunk of it missing. Normally he would pick out the meat from his meal first. But considering he was with someone else he didn’t want to pick apart his food in front of Lucia.

Lucia took another "sniff" of Dio's sandwich, before processing the readings from her chem-receptors within a tiny fraction of a second.

“54g of protein will go a long way towards supporting muscle growth and maintenance.” Lucia agreed. “Organic bodies are such complex machines.” She added. “My musculature is enhanced by rybcoarse fibers, but I do not require protein or any other classes of biomolecule to function. However, I do possess internal organs that mimic human anatomy in function, allowing me to process biomolecules to convert them into energy.” The gynoid finished.

With that, Lucia bit into her sandwich, at which point her taste receptors suddenly exploded with sensation, a myriad of hot, biting flavors causing her photoreceptors to widen with surprise. Glancing down at her sandwich, cleansing fluid filled Lucia’s mouth to compensate for the sheer degree of spice inflicted by the spicy breading, compelling the gynoid to wipe the corner of her lips. All the while, her chemical receptors swiftly processed the contents of the sandwich—a myriad of spices and flavorings which together had lent the breading a potent zest.

“I do not know why organics subject themselves to such heat, and yet…”

Without hesitation, Lucia took another bite.

The nutritional states she continued to list didn’t really register for him. As he ate and chewed his food Diodoros just nodded along. The very technical way Lucia spoke to him was almost like speaking in a different language. But he found it interesting when she spoke having internal organs that could mimic those commonly found in other organisms like humans.

“Woah… so you have like, stomach and stuff?” He asked with a raised brow and took a sip from his beverage. She also said she had muscles or at least her own equivalent. He watched as she began to eat her own food. Lucia seemed a little taken back by the food. It couldn’t be the spice could it?

Hearing her ponder out loud why people would eat it before continuing herself got a laugh out of Diodoros as he looked down at her. “So you’re telling me you can taste the spice too. Wow Lucia, you really keep continuing to amaze me.” He said with a wide smile. Whoever manufactured her really seemed to fit the synthetic woman with a lot more than meets the eye. Sure now that he’d gotten to know her a little more he could pick up some on droid-quirks from time to time.

“Personally I can enjoy spicy foods from time to time. But they can quickly make the joy of eating… well… not joyous. Which can be a real bummer if I was looking forward to chowing down on a nice meal.” It was annoying to want to eat but get too overwhelmed with heat to actually be able to. Especially if he wasn’t prepared for it. “But let me know what you think of your spicy bluurg when you’re done with it.

With one more bite it seemed like Diodoros was already finished now with his meal. Having eaten it all before even he seemed to realize it. He learned his large torso back against the booth with his arm casually up on the back rest. His lips sipped on the straw for his drink to help wash down his food. At the moment he felt pretty good, not thinking that anything or anyone might possibly ruin the pleasant moment he was sharing with his diminutive partner in crime.

“My body possesses synthetic facsimiles of the major human organs.” Lucia said. “So yes, I do have a stomach.” The gynoid added.

Lucia ate a little slower than the gladiator, so as to better savor the spicy flavor of the breading, much of which had seeped into the white blurrg meat. At the same time, she took a few fries, only to find that their salty taste was a little too much zest for the receptors on her synthetic tongue. Fortunately, the quint-berry juice brought a measure of relief in that regard, and soon, Lucia finished both the sandwich and the fries, feeling oddly satisfied after doing so.

“That was…pleasant.” Lucia said, her photoreceptors lighting up in surprise as she took another sip of her drink. “Thank you, Dio.” She added with a soft smile, feeling grateful for the experience.

With that, Lucia finished her drink with one last sip, before setting the empty cup down and cleaning the trash from the table. However, it was only as the gynoid made her way to the nearby waste receptacle did her photoreceptors catch sight of the large freighter sitting in the hangar bay outside of the restaurant. Disembarking from the vessel was a group of armed Trandoshans, Warthogs, and Abyssin. In that, it took only attoseconds for Lucia to recognize their intent.

Slaving.

He never knew that droids could have stomachs and other artificial organs. His blue eyes were fixed on her as she ate. His rather dense brain simply trying to imagine how mechanisms must work. His mind rushed to strange and bizarre theories. Even though it wasn’t really that hard to amaze the golden brute.

After saying it was pleasant and thanking him Diodoros gave a wide and friendly grin. Clearly happy that Lucia enjoyed the experience. "You're welcome Miss Lucia, I'm glad you liked it." After the two of them finished up and dumped their trash he was completely oblivious to the arrival of some violent slavers outside. “Well, I guess it’s time to get back to traveling. I can hardly contain my excitement over our little mission…” It was clear the mercenary was eager to get into some action. Fortunately it seemed as though he might fulfill his desire sooner than he imagined.

A moment later a group of devious people arrived at the Bantha Burger. Making quite the ruckus as they did. Which finally got Diodoros’s attention. Glancing over at them he was a little confused at first. But soon enough their intentions were clear. “Uh oh… Looks like we got some shady characters coming in.” He said to Lucia, his tone was rather casual. They shot into the ceiling and caused a panic in the restaurant. Diodoros frowned some as they began to ruin everyone’s day here. He really hated being interrupted while eating. Even though he just finished his meal, there were plenty of others here who hadn't. Stepping closer to the slavers one of them approached the golden. Shouting in some alien language Diodoros was unfamiliar with but clearly trying to intimidate The Mercenary.

They were a pretty large cyclops, slightly shorter than Diodoros thanks to their hunched posture. Looking past them he noticed a trandoshan. The sight of the reptilian made him clench his fist tightly and practically ignored the Abyssin in front of him. Frustrated with how Diodoros wasn’t intimidated by them, they pointed their blaster pistol at the Firrerreo warrior’s head. Causing him to growl some, his typically golden skin took on a slightly more silvery hue as he flashed his sharp, and prominent canines.

Diodoros’s arm quickly snapped up and grabbed their firearm to aim it away from his face before suddenly crushing it within his grip. With his free hand Diodoros delivered a powerful uppercut straight to the cyclops’s chest, shattering their rips. Causing the thug falling to their knees and gasping. Although he wasn’t aware of the other alien’s own regenerative qualities. Looking back at the other slavers as they saw him knock one of their own to their knees with a single punch they began to unload several blaster shots into Diodoros.

“Uh oh… Looks like we got some shady characters coming in.” He said to Lucia, his tone was rather casual.

“Slavers.” Lucia said. “That freighter is a slave ship.” She added. Already, she saw a number of people in the hangar bay being led towards the ship at gunpoint, while others made to hide or run for cover. In that, the gynoid quickly formulated a plan, knowing that the slavers wouldn’t immediately suspect her as being dangerous.

“Can you cover for me?” The gynoid asked in a low whisper. However, it didn’t take long for three of the slavers—a Trandoshan, a Warthog, and an Abyssin—to approach, immediately identifying the golden-skinned gladiator as the most dangerous individual on the station. On cue, Lucia’s features shifted, a facsimile of fear seizing her expression. Then, she let out a high-pitched scream and threw herself under the table, giving the impression of a terrified girlfriend.

An impression easily sold.

Accordingly, the three slave hunters focused their attention solely on Dio. It was only just as they opened fire on him did the gynoid intervene, at which point two whips of hot magenta plasma ignited from the palms of her hands as she raced towards the slavers from behind in a blur of movement. On cue, a whip lashed out, immediately decapitating the Trandoshan thug and sending his severed head flying into a vat of boiling oil (triggering a series of screams from the kitchen), while bisecting a nearby table and a chair in the collateral. In the same motion, her other whip bisected the Warthog crosswise from shoulder to hip, at which point the thug’s upper half slid to the ground with a wet, fleshy thunk.

It was only then that she saw the Abyssin, still wounded, coming up behind Dio with a vibro-axe raised to strike him through the head.

“Dio, behind you!”

Diodoros would certainly cover for her. Then again he wasn’t entirely sure what she had planned. But he got to watch with great interest how the droid girl handled herself with the slavers. “Woah…” Was all he really said as he watched Lucia summon a pair of deadly ropes of light from the looks of it. They reminded him of the ‘beam-katanas’ that Sith and Jedi so often used. But more floppy.

He felt kinda bad for the poor kitchen staff as the severed head went flying into their equipment. Diodoros would just presume that Lucia didn’t intend to do that and it was just a mistake. He also took a mental note to try and steer clear of the droid girl when using those integrated weapons. Worrying that perhaps he might get bisected as well if he stood too close to her.

Seeing how she took out the slavers Diodoros gave her thumbs up and a friendly smile. His clothes were riddled with a few burnt holes from the few shots he took, but were already regenerating from them. “Nice work Cutie.” Then he heard Lucia’s warning and quickly spun around. Just barely avoiding certain death from a beheading.

Just as the cyclops was about to go for another swing Diodoros intercepted. Grabbing weapons, long handle and harshly front kicking the Abyssin. Knocking them back and stealing their weapon. The golden brute quickly followed this up by hacking through the top of their head vertically and deep into their toros before pulling the weapon from the corpse as it fell back.

Resting the large vibro-weapon on his shoulder Diodoros looked back to Lucia. The front of his body was covered in the cyclop’s blood. Despite this he maintained a wide smile, clearly enjoying the familiar thrill of carnage. But his smile wavered some as he looked around at the mess in the restaurant, and let out a regretful sigh. Reaching into one of his pockets Diodoros pulled out a coin. One as golden as his shiny skin and placed it down on one of the tables. A bit of charity for the poor staff here.

“What do you say we take care of these Slavers? I’m sure the two of us will make short work of them. Even if it is extending our little detour here.” The blood soaked Golden Man suggested as he stepped closer to Lucia, looking down at the droid girl and waiting for her response.

His clothes were riddled with a few burnt holes from the few shots he took, but were already regenerating from them. “Nice work Cutie.” Then he heard Lucia’s warning and quickly spun around. Just barely avoiding certain death from a beheading.

“Dio!” Lucia shouted again, with what could almost be registered as panic in her tone as the axe came down towards the gladiator’s skull. Fortunately, he moved just in time, before kicking the Abyssin down to the ground and taking the vibro-axe. For her part, Lucia felt her photoreceptors magnetize onto the scene as Dio brought the axe down on the thug’s head, cutting so deep that the blade not only bisected through his skull, but also the upper part of the chest cavity.

In spite of the powerful regenerative capabilities of the Abyssin, Lucia knew that it was an immediately fatal injury.

Knowing that Dio had been shot, Lucia quickly moved to check on him, photoreceptors widening with concern as she did. Fortunately, his wounds were nonfatal, to the point that his body already appeared to be regenerating them.

In that, something akin to relief came over Lucia’s processors as she watched Dio heal.

“We don’t need to, but…” Lucia began, before her words suddenly faltered in uncharacteristic fashion as Dio stepped closer to her, casting a large, muscular shadow over her comparatively tiny form in the process. At that point, something else registered in the gynoid’s processors. Said feeling was reflected in the set of her light sepia-toned features, at which point Lucia briefly turned her gaze away from Dio, as if she were a human protecting their eyes after staring at the sun for too long.

Then finally, after an uncharacteristically long pause, she continued.

“I see no reason not to destroy them and rescue their captives.” Lucia agreed. On cue, the gynoid glanced down at the bodies of the thugs, before quickly scavenging a heavy fusion pistol from the Trandoshan, along with a number of power cells for the weapon. It took her own a couple microseconds to process the pistol’s workings as she tested its weight and balance in her hand. Satisfied, the gynoid took the Trandoshan's holster and strapped it under her skirt, on her right thigh.

“I’m ready.”

Diodoros smirked from her reply, glad to hear that she was onboard with what he suggested. Slaving wasn’t a trade he had an ounce of respect for, a rather common sentiment for other firrerreos as well. At first he was a tad concerned that Lucia wouldn’t want to go along with his plan. Especially as she glanced away from him for a moment. But as the droid woman got herself ready he spoke some. “It can be a fun little exercise over being cramped up in my ship for another day or two until we arrive at Teth.”

As she got herself a bit more ready Diodoros looked over the vibro-ax he held. It was a pretty old model, it even looked a little dull too. But that didn’t matter much to him. Even a blunt ax could do plenty of damage. He also always had a preference for vibro-weapons. Enjoying them back when he was a gladiator since they were pretty violent weapons that could easily create a spectacular scene for his fans and other viewers.

Watching Lucia take the fusion pistol and strapping it’s holster under her skirt he tilted his head some. Wondering why she didn’t instead wear it around her waist, and if she was trying to be more sneaky with it.
“Also I call dibs on any more trandoshans we may come across okay?” The golden brute explained to her, but didn’t specify why he wanted to fight the reptilians. “I’ll try and draw their attention as much as I can, I’m sure you can take advantage of any openings from there.” Diodoros said rather confidently, trusting that she’ll make mincemeat out of the slavers he distracts. With that he began to exit the restaurant finally and step into the hangar towards their freighter. Taking a very direct approach, since subtly wasn’t really a strength of his, and he was more than happy to create carnage for his opponents. Especially if it was bold and even reckless.

Lucia batted her lashes in confusion at the gladiator’s request. While the gynoid did not intend to deny her partner whatever he sought to extract from the Trandoshan slavers, her processors cycled in speculation as to why Dio wanted them specifically. She thought to ask him, but quickly rejected the idea upon seeing the slavers leading yet more groups of people into the freighter through the transparisteel viewport.

She had bigger priorities, now.

“I’ll cover you.” Lucia said. With that, she followed the gladiator out of the restaurant and into the hangar, before announcing her presence with one, two, then three shots from her fusion pistol, immediately vaporizing a trio of Warthog slavers via superheated explosions of fusion plasma. Seeing the sudden and swift vaporization of their comrades, most of the other slavers dove in the area for cover, at which point the gynoid looked to Dio and pointed towards a trio of Trandoshans who had moved behind the freighter itself. “There are your targets.” Lucia spoke up. “I’ll keep the others occupied.” She added.

Suddenly, Lucia disappeared as if sucked into thin air, leaving Dio alone. For a moment, it might have seemed as if the gynoid had been simply removed from realspace by an unknowable, omnipotent entity. However, only a few seconds after her apparent disappearance, the sharp, supersonic cracks of an energized whip sounded out, accompanied by a chorus of terrified, bestial screams. Transpiring behind one of the fueling stations was a scene out of an abattoir, wrought by the synthetic assassin as she ripped and tore her way through a group of seven cowering slavers with plasma and fire, sending limbs flying out from behind the nearby bulkhead, along with the decapitated head of a gray-skinned Britarro, with a confused expression set across its features.

Then, as if to put a final crescendo on her symphony of destruction, the loud report of her fusion pistol filled the hangar bay, vaporizing the entire upper third of a hulking Benathy who had been wounded in the initial carnage of the gynoid’s sudden re-materialization.

Diodoros was glad to hear she would let him indulge in fighting the trandoshans himself, and would likely explain his reasoning later. He watched some as she snapped back into action. Rather impressed by the capabilities of the small doid woman. She seemed about as eager and ready to fight as he was. Possibly even more so.

When she pointed out his preferred targets he gave a wide grin and a thumbs up before he blinked and noticed that she suddenly vanished. Maybe that’s why she was so small? To help her hide more easily? But the sound of her continued attacks assured him that she was still very much present and didn’t just run away.

Finally the Golden Brute turned his attention to the reptilian slavers and rushed them with the vibro-axe in his hands. As he closed the distance they got a few shots in on him. The blasters bolts only slowed his advance a little. Delaying his inevitable wrath rather than halting it entirely. With one fell swoop of the weapon he cleaved straight through one of the three lizards. Finding himself flanked by the two of them Diodoros quickly rotated his body and kept up the momentum of his prior attack and sunk the weapon into a second trandoshan. Just as he did the weapon’s old vibro generator jammed up and the axe got stuck inside of its target.

Capitalizing on this sudden setback the third and final trandoshan unsheathed a vibro-dagger and plunged it deep into Diodoro’s side. The golden man’s eyes widened from the shock of the pain as the deadly blade slid into him without any resistance and causing extra internal damage. His more colorful skin suddenly turned platinum as he was filled with anger from the nasty cheap-shot to his gut.

Diodoros finally brought his attention and anger to the final trandoshan. Grabbing them he lifted up the strong lizardman rather casually before violently slamming their back onto his knee. Shattering their spine as they fell to the floor. Removing the blade from his side, Diodoros tossed it aside before raising his leg over the prone trandoshan before it shot down onto their head. The force of his strike created a noticeable dent in the metallic hanger floor beneath them. Let alone the deviation to their cranium.

Diodoros’s chest was heaving now from the damage he sustained and the exertion he gave. Falling onto one of his knees as he tried to regain his breath. However, none of his wounds so far were lethal, and he’d been through much worse before. Suddenly the realization that Lucia was still here too and fighting hit him and he perked up. His skin quickly taking on his typical golden coloration again. He looked to see Lucia materialize once more. It seemed like she made short work of the other slaver here in the hangar. With a loud grunt, Diodoros forced himself back onto his feet. Perhaps it would be wise for him to ask if the droid woman had any bacta on her to supercharge his regenerative properties. He stepped closer to Lucia and asked. "How you holding up Lucia?" His voice did have a measure of genuine concern despite the fact that he was certinaly looking worse for wear now. His clothes were getting pretty torn now from damage he's taken.

Stepping out from behind the bulkhead, Lucia was relieved to see that the Dio had slain the three Trandoshans. However, it was only a microsecond later that she registered the wounds struck across his form—a number of deep blaster burns and a single stab wound. Fortunately, most of the blood that covered his skin was green in hue, indicative of Trandoshan blood. However, there was no small amount of red intermixed and splattered under the green, in spite of the gladiator’s healing factor.

“I don’t have bacta on my person.” Lucia answered the unspoken question, concern evident in her tone. “We’ll have to get you an energy shield.” The gynoid continued. “Something that will preserve your body while you close the distance.” All the while, Lucia’s photoreceptors darted from one body to another, studying each of them in mere nanoseconds until she found one that might have what she sought. On cue, the gynoid ran towards the body—a decapitated Britarro—and began to rummage through its bags until she found what she was looking for.

A medpac.

Almost immediately, Lucia set to work on treating Dio, leveraging the medical programming that she possessed in the process. While she wasn’t a dedicated medical droid, the gynoid was capable of providing field care to most common and basic injuries. Not to mention, her anatomy databases (which she typically drew on for assassination and the targeting of vital organs) gave her an inherent understanding of the organ systems that supported the functions of life. Accordingly, Lucia worked quickly and efficiently. In that regard, she was under no delusions regarding the time constraints. Every second represented another opportunity for the remaining slavers to make their escape, with what slaves they had managed to capture in their holding pens.

For reasons that she couldn’t quite parse, Lucia was determined to prevent that from happening.

“Those should hold.” Lucia said, as she finished cleaning and bandaging the last of Dio’s wounds, before administering a quick stim-shot. “How do you feel, Dio?”

Diodoros raised a brow from her words. Seemingly answering what he had been thinking. Maybe all that impressive tech inside of her allowed her to read him like an open book. She also made a suggestion, something for him to possibly invest into at a later date. “An energy shield, I always thought those were for ships, tanks, and some droids?” He replied to her as she began to rummage through one of the corpses around them.

Upon noticing the medpack his eyes widened some. Receiving any kind of medical treatment other than a bit of bacta was a bit uncommon for him. He almost instinctively backed away. Until a wave of soreness shot out from the wound on his side. The vibroblade he got gutted with having made mince meat out of him where it made contact.

Diodoros simply watched, his expression a mix of apprehension and fascination as he watched Lucia provide some first aid to his wounds. Where he grew up it was rather uncommon for someone to provide any kind of aid like this to another. Folks were already so hardy, and the values of stubborn self sufficiency promoted a healthcare system of just gritting your teeth and walking off any injuries you took. But he wasn’t back home on his clan’s old generational ship.

His blue eyes were fixed on the diminutive droid woman as she saw to his wounds. He felt uniquely appreciative for it. Until she gave him a quick stimshot. “Ow!” the golden brute exclaimed, as he was suddenly removed from his fixation on Lucia. Flinching away from her some as the effects of the shot began to ease his body some. “Um… Thanks Lucia.” His tone was a little bit bashful. Contrasting a great deal with his normally confident and cocky attitude.

“And I’ll be alright, if my wounds haven’t killed me yet, then they ain’t gonna.” He said with a wide smile. Returning to his normal demeanor. Any damage he took that wasn’t to the heart, neck or brain was generally of little concern to him since it wouldn’t be fatal. “So now we're done out here. Let’s make sure there aren’t any more thugs hiding on their ship… Oh and free the captured too of course.” Diodoros added, as though freeing the people caught by them was a pleasant side effect of just getting to do some fighting.

“An energy shield, I always thought those were for ships, tanks, and some droids?”

“It depends on the shield.” Lucia answered, almost offhandedly.

Moments later, after she finished tending to Dio’s injuries, the gynoid readied her fusion pistol, checking its power cell as she did. Unfortunately, cleaning the blood on her hands would have to wait. She calculated the task to be a lower priority compared to the risk of the remaining slave hunters escaping with their captives. In that, the assassin could only hope that she didn’t foul up the fusion pistol due to the mess.

She was already taking a liking to the weapon.

Lucia was by no means an empath or any kind of therapist droid. However, she registered something in Dio’s tone that told her that he wasn’t used to being offered unconditional aid or assistance. In that, the gynoid wondered if she should have asked the golden gladiator if he had wanted assistance before tending to his wounds. The question occupied her synthetic mind for milliseconds—a not inconsiderable amount of time for her. Would he have refused? If so, would his body have been able to repair itself on its own?

As those questions and more filled her mind, Lucia pinched the metaphorical bridge of her nose and shook her processors. She wanted to rescue the slaves, but she also didn’t want to lose Dio.

“I’ll take the lead, this time.” Lucia said, her tone firm and leaving no room for argument. “Stay behind me.” She added.

With that, Lucia slotted a fresh power cell into her fusion pistol and made her way into the ship, her weapon held at low ready as she did. In doing so, the gynoid activated her aural amplifiers, allowing her to swiftly hone in on the location of the slavers through the otherwise inaudible creaks, footsteps, conversations, and other noises as they rushed to secure their prisoners and muster a defense.

Lucia could immediately tell that they were panicking. They hadn’t expected to run into a synthetic assassin and a champion gladiator in a simple raid like this. It hadn’t taken them long to realize the scope of the utter disaster that had befallen the capture teams.

Nevertheless, they weren’t quite ready to give up.

“Two coming around the corner in ten seconds. Two ahead. I’ll take the one on the right, you have the left.” Lucia whispered. "Ready...in five, four, three, two..."

Hearing Lucia mention how she would take the lead now, he flashed her a concerned look. “What? I can still-” As Diodoros spoke he tried to stand up straight but winced from the pain still radiating from his gut. “Um… Okay sure if you want.” He finally conceded. Part of him feeling a little bad about letting the much smaller droid woman lead.

Letting out a sigh he readied himself some. Bringing his lands up and cracking his knuckles rather loudly as he followed closely behind Lucia, looming over her. Seemingly more than okay with forgoing the use of weapons. He listened closely to her as she identified more enemies close by. Knowing that once the two of them were on the ship, it was entirely over for the slavers.

Hearing Lucia’s countdown Diodoros readied himself. Once it was time to act he made his way to the one on the left like she had said. Once he was close enough he clenched his fist tightly. Raising it up high before it came crashing down on the top of their head in a hammerfist strike. The energy of his hit instantly transferred down and crushed their neck in an instant, accompanied by an audible crunch.

Knowing that there were two more coming around the corner Diodoros quickly grabbed the now limp body of the thug he just killed before they fell back onto the ground. Casually lifting them up the moment the next pair of slavers rounded the corner he violently chucked the body into one of them as an improvised projectile weapon. The effort causing Diodoros to grunt some in pain.
