PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Korran Sha is tall and slender, standing at 1.91 meters with a narrow frame that gives him an almost ethereal appearance. His features are angular without being harsh, his complexion warm, and his dark hair falls in loose, unruly lengths around his face. A traditional blindfold covers his eyes, an outward expression of his Miraluka heritage and a reminder that the world is not limited to what can be seen with ordinary sight.

His clothing tends toward dark, muted colors and practical layers, favoring garments that allow him to move freely without drawing unnecessary attention. Even when dressed in the simple robes of a Padawan, there is something unusually composed about him. Korran carries himself with a deliberate stillness, rarely fidgeting or speaking without purpose, and his quiet attention can make him seem more intimidating than he intends.

INVENTORY

  • Traditional Miraluka blindfold.
  • Standard Jedi Padawan robes and practical travel clothing.
  • Personal effects and basic travel necessities.
  • Jedi training equipment.
  • Lightsaber, pending finalization of its design and any required submission or approval.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Korran is disciplined, observant, and intensely private. He prefers to listen before speaking and understand before acting, approaching unfamiliar situations as problems to be studied rather than experiences to be surrendered to. He is rarely impulsive, and even when circumstances become chaotic, he makes a conscious effort to remain measured. To those who do not know him, this composure can resemble indifference. In truth, Korran feels more than he knows how to communicate.

He struggles to express emotion openly, particularly when confronted with another person's grief, anger, or vulnerability. He is much more comfortable offering practical assistance than reassurance, and he often finds himself searching for the correct response when no clear solution exists. He does not lack compassion, but he has difficulty translating it into words. When he cares for someone, he is more likely to remember a small detail, quietly offer help, or remain present long after others have departed.

His upbringing taught him to value perception, patience, and careful interpretation. His parents' former connection to the Luka Sene left him with an appreciation for the Miraluka understanding of the Force, even though he did not become a member of the tradition himself. His Jedi training has since offered him a different framework through which to understand his abilities and responsibilities.

Korran believes that strength is measured not by how thoroughly one can defeat an opponent, but by what one is willing to protect. He respects the Jedi Code and understands its principles, yet he sometimes approaches its teachings as intellectual exercises rather than truths he must learn to embody. The Shirayan belief that emotion is inseparable from life is one he understands in theory. Accepting that his own emotions deserve acknowledgment, rather than simply regulation, remains a more difficult lesson.

STRENGTHS

  • Disciplined: Korran is diligent in his training and takes his responsibilities seriously. He can maintain a routine, repeat a difficult exercise without complaint, and remain focused long after frustration would cause others to abandon the effort.
  • Observant: His Miraluka perception and naturally attentive temperament allow him to notice details that others may overlook. He is skilled at recognizing patterns and changes in his surroundings, though his perceptions are not infallible and do not grant him automatic knowledge of another person's thoughts or intentions.
  • Patient: Korran rarely feels compelled to rush into a decision. He is willing to wait, listen, and consider multiple possibilities before choosing a course of action.
  • Conscientious: He takes the welfare of others seriously, even when he struggles to express it. If he accepts responsibility for something, he will make a sincere effort to see it through.

WEAKNESSES

  • Emotionally Inarticulate: Korran struggles to communicate his feelings and respond naturally to the emotions of others. He can offer solutions when someone needs comfort, or fall silent when a few sincere words would mean more.
  • Perfectionistic: He holds himself to demanding standards and finds it difficult to accept mistakes as a natural part of learning. Failure can leave him dwelling on what he should have done differently rather than considering what he can learn.
  • Rigid Self-Control: Korran is so accustomed to regulating his reactions that he sometimes mistakes emotional restraint for emotional maturity. Strong feelings can leave him uncertain of himself, especially when they cannot be resolved through logic or meditation alone.
  • Intimidating: His stillness, direct attention, and measured manner can make him seem distant or judgmental. He is not always aware of the impression he creates and may struggle to bridge the distance between himself and others.

HISTORY

Korran Sha was born to two Miraluka who once belonged to the Luka Sene, a tradition through which their people cultivated their connection to the Force and developed their extraordinary perception. His earliest understanding of the world was shaped by a heritage in which sight was never confined to the physical and perception demanded patience, interpretation, and trust. His parents intended to pass those teachings on to their child, giving him a foundation in the traditions of their people before he was old enough to understand all that they entailed.

Their plans changed as the balance of power shifted and the High Republic rose to prominence. Seeking a safer and more stable future for their family, Korran's parents chose to leave the Luka Sene and make their home on Naboo. They were drawn to the world's longstanding association with peace, diplomacy, and the light, believing it would offer their child the opportunity to grow without being defined by the instability and conflicts of the wider galaxy. Their departure was not necessarily a rejection of their former tradition, but a decision about the kind of life they wished to provide for their son.

Korran consequently grew up on Naboo, surrounded by the relative comfort and stability his parents had hoped to secure. He was raised with an appreciation for his Miraluka heritage, though his connection to the Luka Sene remained familial rather than formal. He inherited elements of its teachings through his parents, particularly the value of patience and the importance of looking beyond an immediate impression. As he grew older, however, he began to develop his own understanding of the Force, one that would eventually lead him toward the Jedi.

His path brought him to Shiraya's Sanctuary, where the teachings of the Jedi Order offered him a means of turning his natural perception and disciplined temperament toward service. The Order's commitment to peace, justice, and the protection of life resonated with the values his parents had hoped to foster in him. Becoming a Jedi was not simply an extension of his upbringing, but a decision to take responsibility for what he would do with the abilities he had been given.

Now a Padawan of the Jedi Order, Korran remains a student in more ways than one. He is diligent in his studies, conscientious in his duties, and eager to understand the principles that guide the Order. Yet he has much to learn beyond technique and discipline. He can remain composed when others falter, but he does not always know how to reach them. He can recognize suffering without knowing what to say to the person enduring it. His training will ask him to develop not only his command of the Force, but also a more honest relationship with himself.

He has learned how to remain still. He has yet to learn when to reach out.
