Kohlo Ryks
The Only Pilot You Need
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Star Wing started its life hundreds of years ago in service to the old Galactic Empire. Since then the vessel has been used by numerous groups beyond just standard government deployment. One such group is the Red Guard terrorist organization on Druckenwell that uses these vessels heavy arms and armor to execute live-capture operations on traveling passenger vessels.
Kohlo Ryks used to fly on those missions, and during a crisis of conscience when she really discovered what had happened with the passengers of the ships they disabled, she eradicated her wing mates and left Druckenwell behind for good with her newly acquired ship. She spent months grounded while she refitted the whole ship to make it look completely different, even going so far as to having the registration of the ship altered to minimize any chance that the group could find her. Every piece on the vessel was installed and tested by her, updated by her, and made whole, by her, in the wake of her desertion. Not an inch of the ship, which she has since then named Rathtar's Bite, has not been fixed or maintained in some way by the Togruta pilot.
Now the vessel serves as her source of employment, income, and often times, cramped shelter. She takes work as a gunboat-for-hire, often working as little more than a glorified assassin to make ends meet. Stories have been told in the Outer Rim of the old Star Wing that hits fast and hard, and leaves the debris in the wake of a hyperspace jump. Kohlo makes good use of the fighter/bomber in these hit-and-run attacks, and has built up a bit of a reputation as a hot shot pilot in an old piece of machinery.

- All standard features have been upgraded to utilize modern weapons and armor to bring the archaic design up to standards in the current age.
- Advanced ECM system and extended mid-range sensor suites.
- The equipped hyperdrive system means the Star Wing can undertake long-range operations without the direct support of a capital ship.
- Very sturdy shields and armor makes the Star Wing a difficult ship to take down, and these vessels have been known to return to their base of operations in a heavily damaged state that other fighter/bombers could not survive.
- Weapons versatility means that the ship can participate in convoy and platform raids, live capture operations, and assassinations with relative ease.
- The ship's versatility means that the Star Wing is competent in many roles but does not excel in them like a truly dedicated craft would.
- Once the payload of warheads has been spent, the ship is a subpar in dogfights which places more of a burden on the pilot's skill to match interceptors.
