Knowledge Is Power Cause I Can Sell It (Open)

Listening I said, "Yeah Mandalorians tend not to like it when our shiny things mysteriously vanish, bet you had a whole load of Osik to walk through in the escape from that eh?" I could clearly sense Silas's anxiety about the droid. Opening my datapad I checked the ship's sensors and they read there was an electronic signature in the storm. Probably the droid, extending my senses out into the storm I confirmed there was a signature out there that matched Silas's droid. It was the storm, the winds were making it difficult to make quick headway.

Checking the time in my helmet I realized we were still on schedule. "Silas, I can confirm an electronic signature matching your droid is headed this way. It's moving slower due to the winds of this storm but should be here in around four minutes." Revving my engine to shake loose some of the ice that had been forming I got ready to go. Now we get to really screw with The Sith. "It'll be quite amusing to watch The Sith lose their collective Osik after we make off with their research eh SIlas? Eliminate at least one of their major methods of spreading terror." I'd need to report this to the Masters as soon as I returned to Voss. Though I could let Lady Kerrigan know, it'd be good to bring it to my Master's attention as well....

Four minutes, then party time....

[member="Silas Miu"]

Silas was relieved that she was able to detect an electronic signature out there. It may not be his droid, but it could be. Two more minutes of worry crept by, Silas pacing back and forth before his droid approached, it's floating form only visible after it got within ten meters of the ship. "Darko, you made it!" Silas exclaimed, his mouth spreading into a thin smile at the sight of the droid, "Did you delete the copies and swipe the originals?"

A jumble of affirmative beeps and squeals, accompanied by a few flashes of green lights confirmed that that half of the job was done. Silas patted his metallic companion on its 'head', then transferred its illicit data into his own private encrypted data storage device. At the four minute mark, Silas nodded to [member="Celiana"] as he began to make for the waypoint that was discussed earlier as the site of the Diamond Transport. "It's time we make your sith 'friends' piss themselves," Silas said, in an attempt to be at least somewhat humorous.

Good, Silas's droid had made its way back. Silas I assumed transferred the data to a storage device on his person then gave me a short nod then we headed out. Silas spoke into the comms saying, "it's time to make your Sith friends piss themselves." Chuckling into comms I said, "oh the whole faction will likely lose their collective Osik." After about fifteen minutes from the ship I checked the coordinates in my helmet and whipped the bike I was on into a slide and pulled over. "Silas, we're here."

Dismounting the bike I pulled my Verpine Sniper Rifle off my back and as Arja walked over I said, "Arja you'll be providing sniper overwatch and will make our problems disappear should an escort arrive. Please take care of Artemis for me though hmmm?" She took the rifle from me and chuckling said, "Artemis huh, As in goddess of the hunt? Oh, oh my cyar'ika you've upgraded I've missed using Verpine gear. You always did let me use the nicest things." Chuckling a bit I said, "Not a scratch Arja."

Nodding her head she pulled the white insulated cloak's cowl over her head and ran up to a snow bank to take up a sniping position. Just then my Mandalorian gauntlet started pinging and I read the message. Transport is on its way, I've transferred the ion charge firing signal to you so you can disable the transport. The research and samples are in a crate near the cab marked with ultraviolet paint. Remember my fee is one crate of diamonds. Good luck little one. All right now we waited the job was almost over on Arkania.

"Silas, my informant has transferred the ion charge control to me. Arja has the Verpine rifle and will provide overwatch sniper support. If we do run into any one with lightsabers which actually is a possibility they'll be taken out by Arja. The rifle I gave her doesn't use blaster bolts so it'd be next to impossible to defend against especially in this storm there'll be no way to tell where the shots are coming from. When I blow the charge and disable the vehicle there'll be the initial security force inside the transport to deal with which is where you'll cover me. I'll breach the doors with my saber and then you can take whoever you want. We've got another five minutes until the transport is in view so just be ready to move alright?"

Pulling the slide back on my Athena bullpup rifle loading one in the chamber I unclipped one of my sabers and waited to see the transport come into view. Five minutes, I'd need to hit up a few of my underworld contacts in order to move this much volume in gems. I'd need to start putting the profits from these adventures in a safer place than my ship. I was more excited about removing the Rakghoul plague from the playing field though, even though the fact is that I'd be having enough wealth for the next three years. I was happy though that I'd be able to take a very small portion of these gems and have some jewelry made for Aria she deserved it. She deserved to be treated like a princess even if she was MY queen....

I leaned back against the snow bank and waited for the transport to come into view. It wouldn't be long now.....

At [member="Celiana"]'s mention of the slugthrower weapons being more difficult to track during the storm, Silas put away his DL-44, and instead brought out the Semi-automatic Cleric pistol that Celiana had given him at the beginning of the mission. He'd need whatever edge he could get in this part of the heist. Ambush, storm and Ion pulse aside, this was still going to be more dangerous than the facility was, simply due to the shipments affiliation with the sith.

Silas zipped up his own insulated cloak, the cold still somehow managing to creep in. Moving forward, he got in cover behind a barren, dead tree on the overlook to the road below. When the pulse went off, the hover truck would be disabled, likely careening into some rocks or dead trees at the sides of the road, possibly seriously jarring the guards within. "I'm ready whenever they get here." He said, alerting Celiana to his status, "It may work out best to flank their position. I'll stay here, to the left of where they'll be, and you could come at them from their right."

As Silas mentioned flanking them I could see the point of that. "Alright, I'll move down to be closer to the site. As soon as the charge goes I'll take the doors off and Arja will take out the driver and the security riding shotgun." Going into a low run I crested the hill up by Arja and said, "Driver and shotgun need to be removed completely from this equation. Also anyone waving about a glowing red saber I can always use more trophies." Arja simply nodded and settled back into position with my rifle. I stood gave Silas a nod and then jumped from the crest of the hill sliding down the incline and racing over to some light cover.

Just as I made it to cover I saw the transport coming through the valley. I counted down 5...4...3...2...1 Until the transport had passed my position then I triggered the charge. The transport simply stopped they'd been moving at a slow pace due to the weather and it was good the transport hadn't tipped over. Concealed in my white cloak I made my way up the left side of the transport until I was nearly at the drivers door. Then a fine mist of crimson covered the front of my cloak and the driver slumped forward. I could hear the security up front moving around trying to get out then another red mist covered the front window. Well done Arja, igniting my aqua saber with a snap-hiss I moved back down towards the rear of the transport and sliced the hinges off the doors before pulling them off with The Force.

Suddenly panicked blaster fire came pouring out of the back. Hopefully Silas was on his way down with one of the bikes...Arja would stay where she was as overwatch to cover us both. Triggering the remote startup on the bike I'd ridden in on I programmed it to come down the slope to my position. Pulling a flash-bang from my vest I primed it and popping my hand around the corner tossed it in the vehicle's rear door. There was a panicked scrambling around and as I pressed myself flush against the outer shell of the transport it went off. Coming back around the corner I saw they'd been disoriented and blinded both. Pulling my silenced Reaper pistol I shot them both through the head and dragged their bodies out of the transport. Then I shot several bursts into both guards so it wouldn't look like an execution but rather a heist turned into a shootout.

[member="Silas Miu"]

While [member="Celiana"] and Arja both had their fun with the security forces, Silas laid out cover fire, while proceeding down the incline at ta slow rate of speed on the bike. After Celiana disguised their operation as a mere jewelry heist instead of a targeted acquisition of sith research, Silas pulled to a stop near the back of the transport. It looked like a A-A5 Speeder Truck, built to carry cargo, and withstand harsh climates. "Well, they had the right equipment, just didn't have the best luck with them, huh?" Silas mused, climbing off his bike.

Peering into the back of the truck past his friend, he saw a few more guards, stumbling around still disoriented from the flash-bang that Celiana had wisely chosen to use. "Targets!" He called, taking aim at one guard, squeezing off three rounds, taking cover behind the edge of the truck, then repeating the process for one more guard.

'How many guards were in this thing?' he asked himself, 'Hell, if I know, but there's two less now.'

Well I hadn't seen the other two guards that Silas had caught but he squeezed off two three round bursts into the two guards I'd missed. As they fell I walked into the back of the truck and put a round through each of their skulls and using The Force I lifted their bodies and tossed them out the back of the truck in another area. Taking aim at the corpses I fired several more bursts into all of them again to make sure it looked like a shootout where they'd fallen defending the shipment instead of a professional heist job. Ejecting the mag I threw the empty mag out in the snow.

Winking inside my helmet I turned the UV filter on and entered the back of the transport looking around until I saw the UV paint of the marked diamond crate. "Silas in here!" Triggering the blade of my left gauntlet I pried open the seals of the crate and dug around carefully until my hands closed around the loose research papers and two smallish vials of liquid. One was the the updated plague sample and then also the most recent version of the cure. Digging around further in the crate I found a storage pack for transport of hazardous materials. I carefully sealed the research papers, plague sample and the cure sample inside and activated the storage seal that would keep the samples refrigerated and the research notes preserved.

Clipping the storage pack to my armor I sealed the diamond crate back shut. Pulling the crates I lifted them out and deposited half of them in the snow using The Force making sure to leave one crate of diamonds behind. I busied myself with loading the crates of diamonds onto the swoop bike and securing them down as Silas started loading his take up. "Cyar'ika you'd best be loading up the rest of that take I'm reading another vehicle coming up on your position it'll be there in under five minutes judging by its current speed. I'm still good on overwatch up here but move it quickly sweetheart."

"Silas, we're gonna have company here shortly! I certainly hope that you're almost done loading back up." I began priming a mix of incendiary devices, fragmentation, and strips of high yield micro-mines in the snow in case we needed to buy time. If the vehicle got here before we were set to go we'd still be good based on Arja providing sniper support and the various explosive devices I'd planted in the field. I just hoped that there wouldn't be anyone trained in The Dark Side to deal with it'd make things vastly more complicated...

[member="Silas Miu"]

Silas, who'd caught a glimpse of the object at the back of the truck, radiating with UV signatures (As kaminoan eyes can see ultraviolet frequencies), was glad that they'd been able to secure the Rakghoul plague research. He'd crept back into the truck after [member="Celiana"] had done her thing, busying himself with getting the remaining half of the diamond crates out of the truck, going back for the final two crates after Celiana warned him of their impending company. "Poodoo!" Silas cursed, "Finishing up now! How much time to we have left?"

Silas, instead of arming himself with the cleric pistols or his DL-44, picked up one of the guards weapons, a blaster rifle, as it would provide better fire support in case they needed it. He really hoped that they could make a clean getaway here. He really didn't want to become the latest playtoy for some sith lord.

Looking over to Silas I said, "about four minutes I'd guess. "Arja, how are we doing on the time frame of company arriving?" "Same time frame as before Cyar'ika you've got four minutes now" Turning back to look at Silas I said, "Yeah, we've got four minutes Silas, I've laid out my welcoming mat in case they arrive sooner. Arja will be able to take them out from the ridge line should they survive they blast. In any case we shouldn't be here when my welcome mat goes off."

Slinging my left leg over the seat of my bike I kicked it into gear and waited for Silas to get things finished up. Arja would be looking intently through the scope right now and paying very close attention to the approach to the valley behind us. She's make sure one way or another that we'd have a clean exfil from the site....

[member="Silas Miu"]

Silas nodded his assent that they should get the kark out of here. He climbed onto his own swoop bike, revving the engines to make sure that it had enough torque to pull all the cargo they had. Luckily it did, and they were off, with a little under four minutes to spare. Soon enough they were well on their way to the ship. The site of the down transport would soon be filled with smoldering wreckage with one crate of diamonds securely left behind for his friends contact. All in all, it was a good days work. "Not bad for a few hours, huh?" He asked [member="Celiana"] as they sped towards her ship.

Pretty soon he'd be a kark of a lot richer. He could probably even get his own ship. That would be something, wouldnt it?

We made it to the ridge line just as the second transport came upon my welcome mat and was incinerated, riddled with shrapnel and otherwise killed as dead as one could kill something. I pulled up next to Arja and held my hand out for my rifle. She clipped it to my back and got on my swoop saying, "Well not only have you upgraded your gear, you also make a hell of a lot bigger mess than you used to cyar'ika." Speaking into the squad comms I said, "I wanted to make sure that nobody would survive to chase us, it was a preventative measure Arja."

As we came back to my ship I unhooked all the tie-downs and after opening the ship's hangar door I reached out with The Force and lifted the 12 various sized crates of diamonds I'd grabbed into the air and brought them aboard. Unclipping the hazardous materials storage cylinder from my armor I briskly walked into my cabin and opening my safe I secured it down and locked it back up with my biometric handprint, retinal scan and key code. Walking back to the hangar I was waiting for Silas to make his way aboard and I got out a cargo scale and popped the seals on the crates of diamonds marveling at the various colors and size of them all.

Taking parcels of diamonds out I began stacking them on the cargo scale. A little over 1500 pounds of raw diamond....But between the different colors, quality and so forth there was well over four billion credits worth of diamonds. Depending on the value of what those diamonds could accomplish though they were worth far more....Taking a green velvet bag from my cargo pants I scooped two loose handfuls of diamonds into the bag and sealing it tied it to my belt for a trip to a Coruscanti jeweler who owed me a favor.

Packing the parcels of diamonds back into their cases I activated a cargo elevator that would take the cases and shift them from the hangar bay to my personal vault on board. After that was finished I went back to help Silas bring his take aboard so we could get out of here the countdown was still running but the storm would be over in under thirty minutes and we needed to be gone by then...

[member="Silas Miu"]

Silas was very happy with how everything had turned out. He'd gotten his fill of heists, had been able to acquire a lot of useful data and research that could be worth a fortune to any interested parties back on Kamino, and he was able to get several crates of diamonds to boot. "I gotta work with you more often!" He said to [member="Celiana"] as she helped him unload his crates from his swoop bike, "You bring all the credits rolling in."

Her cargo scale stated that his take was another 1500 pounds of diamonds. He had to whistle at the figure. Who knew that you could go from merely 'getting by' to being rich in a span of hours. He checked the ship to make sure that Darko was on board, confirming that he was ready to go whenever his friend was. He couldn't wait to get as far away as possible from that facility, those Arkanians gave him the creeps.

Smiling at Silas telling me "I brought the credits rolling in." His take was about 1500 pounds of diamonds as well. I glanced his way and said, "Care to join me in the cockpit here in about 10 minutes? I could use someone to chat with here in a bit while I plot the jump to Yinchorr..." I walked back to my cabin and untied the green velvet bag of various colored diamonds from my belt before sliding it into a hidden compartment on my bed-frame.

Stripping out of my op gear I pulled on a pair of VERY short-shorts and pulled on a VERY threadbare grey deep V-neck shirt and bunching the fabric up I tied it in a knot by the left side of my ribs. It'd show off quite a lot of skin but it was time to relax for a bit. Further I'd just pulled off a theft of Arkanian data and tech as well as Sith research documents and samples not to mention 1500 pounds of diamonds. Grabbing two glasses and a bottle of Corellian Hellfire Whiskey that tasted like sweet cinnamon. I sauntered back up to the cockpit hips sashaying as I did and waited for Silas to join me for a drink to celebrate.

We'd be plotting the jump to Yinchorr before long but for now while I waited I initiated the take-off sequence and we took off from Arkania exiting orbit just as the storm was ending I noted...

[member="Silas Miu"]

Silas made sure his take was secure before heading to his bunk. He laid the Cleric Pistols down on the bed, as well as his black bag and the insulated coat. The coat certain;y helped down on the planet in the storm, but it certainly wasn't needed anymore. Changing out of the lab coat he'd used as a disguise, he changed into his old clothes, which consisted of form-fitting pants, an undershirt, and his ballistic body wrap. He'd pulled a good haul, and he smiled as he made his way to the cockpit to celebrate with @Celiana.

Reaching the cockpit, he saw his friend holding out a glass of what looked like whiskey. He gratefully accepted the glass, drinking the whiskey as a shot as he sat down in the co-pilots seat. "A job well done, and a drink to match. Thanks for the hospitality." He said, after shaking his head from the strong alcohol.

Hellfire Whiskey. One of his favorites. "So what'd you want to talk about?"

As Silas reached the cockpit he said, "a job well done and a drink to match." I responded, "Well this has been a good day all things considered. There was an assassin that wasn't after us but that we framed for destruction of a research facility, we made off with tech, data, and about 1500 pounds of diamonds apiece I figured a drink was the least I could do." I realized I'd said that last part rather suggestively but I was ok with that. I'd dressed down quite a bit and the amount of skin I was showing off pretty much any respectable Jedi Master would be horrified with. I was ok with that as well, I kinda hoped Silas noticed but I wouldn't be offended if he didn't.

It'd been a long time since I'd had a man notice me, and whether or not he was the same species or someone I'd brought aboard to do a job with didn't make any difference to me. He'd asked what I wanted to talk about but I'd honestly just asked him to have drinks with me. That being said there were things to discuss.

"With the theft of tech, data, research and the amount of diamonds we made off with people will likely put out a bounty or be searching for someone with stolen goods. So I've plotted a series of random jumps that'll take us back to Yinchorr in about a days time. Until then though we've got the opportunity to find ways to move the sheer amount of diamonds we took. I've got a jeweler on Coruscant who owes me a favor and can use at least one full case of diamonds just because there are so many people on Coruscant with more money than sense."

"I'd love to hear of your ideas on how to fence the sheer volume both of us have though." If he was paying any attention Silas would likely realize the flirtatiousness of that last comment...

"Well this has been a good day all things considered. There was an assassin that wasn't after us but that we framed for destruction of a research facility, we made off with tech, data, and about 1500 pounds of diamonds apiece I figured a drink was the least I could do." [member="Celiana"] said to Silas, in a somewhat suggestive manner.

Silas had certainly noticed that she was wearing less clothing than she had even before she'd strapped herself into her armor at the start of this journey, but thought she was simply just relaxing after their long day of work. However, he remembered, there were several ways that these other humanoids liked to 'relax', some of them involving quite... intimate means. He listened to her plans to evade any would-be pursuers and fence at least some of the diamonds through a fence she knows on Coruscant. He was just starting to notice the nice lilt to her voice. Maybe it was the whiskey talking... or thinking. She then asked him what ideas he might have for fencing their ill-gotten goods, in her own playful way.

"Oh, I'm sure you would," Silas began, throwing her a wide smile, "But I'd like to propose a toast."

After filling both of their glasses to the brim with more whiskey, he held his out to her, "To our new partnership, and whatever adventures it brings."

"Oh I'm sure you would." He said in response to my asking about his ideas for fencing the diamonds. Then he filled our glasses with more Hellfire whiskey and said, "I'd like to propose a toast, to our new partnership, and whatever adventures it brings." Clinking my glass agianst his I said, "Cheers I'll drink to that." Sipping the whiskey I shifted in my chair so that my already VERY short-shorts shifted up giving Silas even more skin to look at if he cared to. My toned stomach was being shown off too. On one hand I really missed Aria but on the other I really missed any kind of attention.... Pulling the lever I initiated the jump sequence and waited for Silas to speak his ideas about the diamonds.

[member="Silas Miu"]

As [member="Celiana"] shifted in her seat, Silas couldn't help but run his eyes over her body. His race sought genetic perfection, seeking to erase all genetic flaws and improve themselves to survive, even going as far as producing offspring through cloning and genetic modification. He was pretty sure there wasn't much they would have to do with this girl to bring her up to their ideal of perfection, as far as the Echani were concerned, at least. Noticing that he was lapsing into a staring contest with her exposed skin, he snapped himself out of it, moving onto the subject of diamonds.

"Well, I have a few contacts on Tattooine that could help fence some of these gems. That, along with your contact on Coruscant, should give us plenty of credits up front, while we can use some of the rest of these diamonds to make a deal with the Bothan Intelligence groups for access to their networks for a short while." Silas began, stealing a few more glances at his new partners near-completely exposed legs, "After that, I figure we could keep what remains for resource materials for any individual projects we might need them for. All in all, it'd be worth quite a lot more than face value, depending on what we can glean from the Bothans."

Unable to help himself, after a brief pause as he looked her over once more, "Are you... comfortable?"

I saw Silas's eyes roaming over me which interestingly enough was really very nice. He mentioned some of his contacts on Tattooine that could help fence a portion of the gems. Some could be used to access the Bothans intelligence networks. He glanced at my legs too which sent shivers down my spine knowing that he was looking. After chatting for a bit he asked, "are you....comfortable?" Shifting in my seat I said, "Mmmmmmm...very much so."

[member="Silas Miu"]

Silas smiled at her reply, as it meant she was definitely putting on a little show for him. Which was interesting. He's never been approached by women of any race, due to his species's reputation, that and other kaminoans didn't seem to be too interested in such pursuits. He filled both their glasses again, throwing the hard-hitting burning liquor down his throat. "Glad to hear it. Let me know if there's anything I can to do help." Silas said with a wink and a sly grin.

If she was going to flirt with him, he may as well play her game.
