Nar Shaddaa Jedi Enclave – "The Hidden Hand"

Tucked deep within the neon-drenched labyrinth of the Corellian Sector on Nar Shaddaa, the Hidden Hand appears—at first glance—to be just another seedy, dim-lit roadhouse bar. Flashing holo-signs, smoke-filled gambling dens, parlor games, cheap lodging, and a rotating cast of bounty hunters, grifters, and spacers keep the place busy. To the average patron, it's nothing more than a well-aged watering hole with a reputation for minding its own business and asking no questions.

But beneath the hum of vibroblades and the clink of sabacc chips lies one of the most secretive and specialized Jedi enclaves in the galaxy.

The Nar Shaddaa Enclave, known only to select members of the Jedi Order and encoded within the most secure channels of the Temple archives, operates as a covert training ground for Jedi Investigators—those who walk the line between peacekeeper and shadow operative. These Jedi are trained not just in lightsaber forms or Force meditation, but in the languages of smugglers, the methods of slicers, and the subtle cues of deception and corruption.

Here, Jedi study the criminal underworld firsthand, embedding themselves in the flow of illicit information and quietly unraveling the networks that oppress the weak and feed galactic instability. Using Nar Shaddaa's natural traffic of crime lords, bounty hunters, and cartel representatives as cover, the enclave monitors and traces the spread of criminal influence from the Smuggler's Moon outward to the wider galaxy.

These Jedi take no titles, wear no robes, and rarely flash their blades. Their presence is felt not by righteous declarations, but by missing spice shipments, exposed extortion rings, and subtly disrupted slave routes. Though technically bound by the Jedi Code, many who train here are taught to adapt the code to survive in shadows—a necessary compromise in a place where law and morality are often weapons of the powerful.

While the public face of the Hidden Hand caters to vice and anonymity, the enclave behind its false walls is a place of study, training, and quiet resolve. Meditation chambers sit behind false freezer doors. A saber-forging alcove is masked behind the illusion of a faulty ventilation shaft. Surveillance arrays are hidden in the holo-screens above the bar, tuned not to sports feeds—but to encrypted data spikes, bounty postings, and cartel movement.

More than just spies or saboteurs, the Jedi of the Nar Shaddaa Enclave see themselves as protectors of the forgotten—a light dimmed, but never extinguished, among the shadows.

House Specials (coded references to Jedi operations)

  • Kyber Fire Ale – A bold drink, glowing faintly.
Indicates a meeting with off-world Jedi contact is scheduled.
  • Corellian Smoked Nerf – Served rare.
Reminder to maintain false Corellian identity while undercover.
  • Bantha Dust Wings – Spicy enough to burn.
Signals an incoming shipment of illicit spice; prepare recon.

"Night Games" Table Menu (also doubles as secure drop locations)

  • Sabacc Supreme (100cr buy-in)
High-stakes sabacc table with embedded data ports for encrypted info exchanges.
  • Shadow Dice (ask for "the quiet game")
Private room for coded communication. Only Jedi and allies know the passphrase.

Lodging Offerings (each suite has a different hidden enclave function)

  • "The Rusted Deck" – Single bunk, low rate
Force-shielded meditation chamber; accessible only by Jedi code.
  • "Hutt's Mercy" – Family suite
Decoy quarters for fugitives or protected witnesses.
  • "Drifter's End" – No questions asked
Holocron storage vault & secured intelligence lab (camouflaged interior).

Drinks with... Layers (Force-sensitive menu items)

  • Glowshade Tea – Non-alcoholic. Calms the nerves.
Often served before missions to Knight-level Investigators.
  • Mirrorback Stout – Bitter, dark, heavy pour.
Requesting this signals you have intel too sensitive for open comms.
  • Blue Lantern Brew – Only served after midnight.
Indicates a successful mission completion. Jedi will debrief you.

"Chalactans believe that all the natural laws of the universe also exist within us, and the goal of the adept is to strive to understand them and be illuminated."Prithi

BIOGRAPHY

History
Pari Sylune was discovered as an infant swaddled in worn, ivory cloth on the sun-washed steps of the Temple of Illumination on Chalacta, a planet known for its serene spiritual traditions and deep-rooted contemplative culture. The Chalactan adepts, mystics dedicated to inner harmony and enlightenment, took her in without question, sensing a powerful presence in the Force that lingered around the child like morning mist.

Though her origin remained unknown, no records, no markings, no name but the one the adepts gave her, Pari grew up surrounded by silence, study, and the sacred. The Chalactans taught her the values of mindfulness, compassion, and detachment from ego. From the time she could walk, Pari showed an uncanny sensitivity to the suffering of others. When animals fell ill, she wept until they recovered. When an elder twisted her ankle on the temple steps, Pari's touch dulled the pain before any salve could be found.

By the time she reached her thirteenth year, Pari's healing gifts had grown impossible to ignore. Her hands could ease fever, calm panic, and mend sprains. The adepts, though wise in spirit, were not Jedi, and they knew the Force stirred within her in ways that surpassed their traditions. At the urging of a passing Jedi Seeker, Pari was offered to the Jedi Order for formal training. It was a painful parting, one she met with bowed head and a quiet smile, but tears in her eyes.

Now a Jedi Padawan, Pari carries the stillness of Chalacta in her soul. Unlike many initiates who seek lightsaber prowess or bold adventure, she is drawn to healing, empathy, and restoration. Her connection to the Force is gentle but deep, like roots tapping into unseen springs. She listens more than she speaks, feels more than she shows, and believes that peace is not a prize to be won through battle, but a harmony to be restored.

Yet, beneath her calm surface lies a quiet longing: to uncover the truth of her origins, to understand why she was left behind, and to discover what destiny the Force has written into the silence of her earliest days.

Pari Sylune walks the path of a Jedi with a healer's hands and a pilgrim's heart, guided by the Force, shaped by compassion, and rooted in mystery.
