OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Coronet Capitol Tower Plaza
  • Classification: Governmental buildings
  • Location: Corellia
    • Coronet City
      • Green Sector [Governmental District]
        • Capitol Square
  • Affiliation: Corellian Confederation
  • Accessibility: As a government building the plaza itself is considered public. While it is watched closely by CorSec most people would not be stopped from walking the green spaces within the plaza, visiting Bloodstripe Hall, or even entering Coronet Main Hall. There were many satellite offices dedicated to various services provided by the government such as health care, veteran's services, and immigration that had residence here and so it was still an important part of the community. Access to places such as the Council Chambers, the Office of the Diktat, and certain levels of the Capitol Tower itself were locked behind various levels of security ranging from code cylinder passes, to bio and retina scans.
  • Description: Coronet Capitol Tower Plaza was the center of political activity in the Green Sector. Built on a bluff that overlooks Coronet Bay the plaza was surrounded by greenspace, a recurring feature of the Governmental District and its sector namesake. From the tower one could see across the bay to the rest of the Governmental District, including the Green Jedi enclave, the Saber. Radiating out from the tower itself, the plaza had a myriad of buildings, businesses, apartments, restaurants, and everything else politicians would require access to. It was on the edge of Capitol Square and was actually quite far from many of the common points of interest within Green Sector such as its museums, the Drall Library, and Port Pevaria. Luckily, it had its own minor space port as well as access to the mag train lines that ran throughout Coronet. It even had an underwater mag line that ran directly across the bay to the other side. Fort Bastion, the Alliance's sector HQ was located nearby.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Coronet Capitol Tower: Coronet Capitol Tower was built atop the Corellian Council Chambers and had apartments for many of Corellia's dignitaries for use during long sessions. The Diktat's office is located near the top of the tower. Selonians and Uggnaughts work in the highest areas of the tower keeping it functional and online.
  • Office of the Diktat: Built halfway up Coronet Capitol Tower, the Office of the Diktat constituted an entire floor. Not only did it hold his own personal office but also the office of the Corellian Senator, office space for special advisors from CorSec and the Defense Force. It also held a lavish apartment for when the Diktat stayed in Coronet. The office itself during his "Open Hours" were open to anyone who had prior screening and had won the lottery to speak to the Diktat (he did this once a month and there were only three slots), but otherwise was restricted to those whom had prior engagements with the Diktat or worked in his office. There was always at least one Halcyon commando present and a squad of Corellian Darksabers acted as security.
  • Corellian Council Chambers: Outside, the Council Chambers had a large holodisplay that cycled through ancient and recent Corellian heroes. To the left of the council chambers was a small memorial and museum building that was dedicated to these individuals. Most had the Corellian Bloodstripe awarded to them and so the small encalve was called Bloodstripe Hall. The chambers themselves had a similar look to the Senate chambers of Coruscant, though there were significantly fewer pods. All of the worlds within the Confederation had individual offices for their Councilmember and their staff.
  • Coronet Main Hall

SECURITY: High
The seat of Corellian government, the CCTP had heavy security. CorSec was always on patrol in the area generally speaking but there were certain locations that had higher security such as the office of the Diktat which was protected by Corellian Darksabers and at least one Halcyon commando. Security droids also patrolled alongside CDF Groundside. Snipers and members of CorSec intelligence stalked the area, defending delegations and Councilors.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Coronet Capitol Tower was once destroyed by Sith Occupying forces after the fall of the old Galactic Alliance. At first, it was used as Sith HQ in the sector, but after repeated rebellious actions by Corellian-Alliance loyalists, the Corellian Council was slaughtered, the Diktat publicly executed, and the tower destroyed. It wouldn't be until the One Sith fell that reconstruction of the tower would begin.

The Corellian Council was at first a small group and so the tower and its base were originally all that was envisioned for the building. As the centerpoint of Capitol Square and the Governmental "Green" Sector of Coronet the tower alone was impressive enough. However, after the secession of Corellia from the new republic it had joined, it became apparent that more would be required of the tower. Notions of further democracy became commonplace and the "lesser worlds" of the Corellian Sector began to want a say in the sway that Corellia had on them. When the Confederation exploded even more wished to have their voices heard. What began as a single tower and capitol building quickly grew into its own complex. The construction would come to encompass an entire plaza with flags from every world in the Corellian Sector and beyond. Embassies were established and even the Corellian Defense Force had offices in the building, its black and orange flag flying right alongside those of Balmorra and Humbarine.

After the Galactic Alliance was formed many of its old flags remained, though where once there was a Balmorran Councilor's office now there was an embassy as worlds once under the Confederation's protection saught that of the Alliance instead, joining Corellian in the Alliance's senate. Still, the Confederation was large, encompassing the entirety of the Corellian Sector and several colony worlds along the Corellian Trade Spine and Corellian Run. Even large organizations such as the ship building conglomerate Corellian Engineering Corporation and Corellian Mining Corporation had places among the Council.

Overlooking the bay, the Corellian Confederation's flag flew high, a bright green jewel in a sea of stars.

Overall a pretty solid sub! Always love more detail on government buildings and whatnot. There are just a few things that need to be fixed and you'll be good to go!

Going down the list, first the little banner is from or at least based off of the Templin Institute stuff I know but I was unable to find that particular image on their site in my search so a link to that in Image Credit will be needed unless you made it yourself. The two factions listed in Affiliations will need to be linked, and Accessibility has been left as the template text and will need to be filled out accordingly. Finally all the assets listed in Security will need to be linked as well.

Nothing big in terms of edits so it should be some quick fixes! Just tag me when you've got them done.

Ah alrighty then! I do have one more question before I approve this but it's a pretty minor one. For the Security Droids that you linked, they appear to be closed market, do you have permission to make use of them that I could see? I did look to see if the company was affiliated with the GA or CC but the graphic on the company's page seems to be broken so I couldn't really tell if they were.
