CAPITAL AND URBAN LOCATION DESCRIPTIONS

Astraeus
KUhAPK0.jpg
As the Confederacy of Independent Systems fell and the focus shifted from holding the line to evacuation, the Astraeus began its hazardous journey of crossing Confederate Space to collect all that it could from the then Von Sorenn Industries. In the end, damaged and blindly jumping, the Astraeus arrived above Khrea and a new fight began. In the following interregnum, the Astraeus was deconstructed and the bulk of its material was utilized in the founding of a new Capital that would come to house The Halcyon Corporation and serve as the Capital of Khrea and its own ambition to maintain control over the Halcyon System. The Capital City itself was christened as Astraeus in remembrance of the Space Station that evacuated so many from the Confederacy to relative safety within the Shiraya Expanse. Astraeus serves as the true and de facto Political Capital of Khrea, housing many of the planet's governmental facilities, including the Nexus and a number of other military, corporate, and economical institutions.

Keren Secundus
3XnXMAK.jpg
On Naboo, Keren was an important trading city; much like its namesake, Keren Secundus maintains a similar title and tradition. The city is the primary trading hub for Khrea, and in many ways, is the de facto Economical Capital of the planet that also houses many of the citizens that had evacuated from Naboo, as seen in the similar Nabooian Architecture and designs incorporated in many of the buildings. Keren Secundus also houses the majority of Banks, Financial Institutes, and Vaults that hold the vast wealth of Khrea, The Halcyon Corporation, and a number of other Corporate Assets. To this end, Keren Secundus also maintains its own local law enforcement institutions which is separate from both the Planetary Defense Forces of Khrea, as well as the Corporate Defense Forces, allowing for greater autonomy in how the City persues and handles crime, making it one of the safest Urban locals on Khrea.

Shotoha
b4liAJH.jpg
Located at the far end of the Iris Estuary nearest the Petrified Sea in a more arid location; the riverside city of Shotoha is not a massive sprawling metropolis like Astraeus or Keren Secundus. Its relatively small size and contained boundaries are by design to ensure the natural beauty of the local and vistas surrounding the city. Whereas Astraeus is the Political Capital and Keren Secundus is the Economical Capital; Shotoha is the de facto Tourist Capital of Khrea - however - that is not to say that Tourism is a large draw or sector of planetary economics. Rather, Shotoha is strictly off-limits to many individuals save for the upper echelon of Khrea - many of whom maintain some form of a minor vacation home or secluded getaway as gifted for their continued service to Khrea, The Halcyon Corporation, and to a lesser extent, The Ascendancy itself. Much like Keren Secundus, the idyllic city of Shotoha also maintains its own private security forces that answer only to the Chairperson of The Halcyon Corporation; their purpose to maintain order and peace so the upper echelon is not disturbed on their vacations.

Jongvale Farm
aZkv1eR.jpg
Nestled within the shadows and towering mountains of Skyfall Rift; Jongvale Farm is one of the largest plantations that sprawl for hundreds of acres, and consists of multiple fields and orchids as well as a multitude of smaller outbuildings beyond the central house. Jongvale Farm is also home to the highest concentration of the Kyuzo Species - many of which live and work on the farm. Though, due to its large population, Khrea imports much of its Foodstuffs, Jongvale Farm supplements much of those foodstuffs with more nutritious and readily available foods for smaller communities; even going so far as to have a contract to supply much of the Corporate Forces with their foodstuffs and rations. The Farm also maintains a number of greenhouses and specialized growth houses to provide conditions for flora that is much more delicate and difficult to grow outside of their native planets.

The B'omarr Citadel
ZJbzSBF.jpg
Among the many individuals that were evacuated to the Shiraya Expanse during the fall of the Confederacy of Independent Systems - oddly enough - were a handful of the mysterious and often reclusive B'omarr Monks. These Monks, both those that had not undergone their strange ritual, as well as a number of those disembodied monks that were already seated within their nutrient-filled jars. Once Khrea was reached and those that had survived began to claim portions of the planet for their own devices, the B'omarr Order settled in an idyllic valley surrounded by low hills and steppes where they constructed a massive Citadel reminiscent of the Citadel that had been theirs on Tatooine. Much of the surrounding area is dedicated to the embodied monks that see to the needs of those that have already undergone the ritual, whose brain jars reside in the massive structures at the center of the Citadel. An ongoing agreement between the B'omarr Monks and The Halcyon Corporation also sees a contingent of Corporate Soldiers stationed at the Citadel for its, and the monk's protection.

Sorrowfall Redoubt
bgf4K8z.jpg
Though Astreaus is the Capital City and the Nexus the de facto center of government, many of the largest and most difficult decisions made in regards to government and the operations of The Halcyon Corporation are made from this location. Sorrowfall Redoubt is the seat of power of House Von Sorenn and the home of Chairwoman Amelia von Sorenn, the former Naval Commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems before its collapse. The structure is precariously perched over a vast chasm that is fed by a roaring waterfall at the far end of the Iris Estuary; a singular causeway is the only land route with access to the structure whilst a dedicated Starport provides an additional means of access - also kept separate from the main structure by is own causeway. The significance of the location - both as the Seat of House von Sorenn and of the Government - ensures that it is heavily protected and defended, much more so than the Nexus or any other location on Khrea.

The Nexus
6Rkk6ub.jpg
The center of Khrea, both literally and figuratively, the Nexus is home to The Halcyon Corporation and houses the Corporation's main headquarters and offices, as well as a number of government departments that fall within the purview of The Halcyon Corporation's status as the de facto planetary government. A colossal structure in its own right, much of its facade was designed to inspire awe as much as dread - with a pair of outstretched superstructures that cover the areas beneath them in shadow, even on the brightest of days. The Nexus, even with larger structures around it, still commands respect, as it is one of the more heavily fortified structures on the planet.

Dunegarde Terminal
GSBDsok.jpg
Located deep within the Petrified Sea and built into and upon one of the only standing buttes of the area, the vast fortification christened the Dunegarde Terminal acts as one of the primary command centers of local military forces present on Khrea. The structure itself is heavily fortified from ground, aerial, and even orbital bombardment - with an extensive underground bunker system and above-ground trenches spreading throughout the surrounding area to provide additional fortification and choke points in the event of a planetary invasion. Dunegarde Terminal also houses one of the only standing military forces of a significant number that is not designated as special forces and quick reactionary forces; also housing the largest ground-support wing of Airspeeders and Starfighters on Khrea.

MAJOR PLANETARY LOCATION DESCRIPTIONS

Iris Estuary
nU4PVHE.jpg
Unlike many other regions on Khrea which are protected through agreements between local residences and the governing corporations, or those regions that have witnessed the exploitation of their resources, the Iris Estuary remains untouched at the direction of the current Chairperson of The Halcyon Corporation. This direction, however, was done so to maintain a semblance of control and retain the loyalty of CEOs and Directors of various Corporations and as such, the decision has paid off. The region, largely undeveloped, is host to a handful of minor estates, sprawling land grants, and seasonal lodges that are often gifted to individuals for their loyalty, meritorious service, and honesty, or some other reason to act as a means to keep individuals in line and loyal to the planetary government and directly loyal to The Halcyon Corporation.

Skyfall Rift
F0Zdpgr.jpg
A vast gorge carved from the surrounding mountain ranges, the Rift - as it is locally known - is one of the more diverse ecosystems on Khrea, which also houses many of the more rural communities, including a handful of farms and plantations that are tucked into the various corners of the vast expanse. Skyfall Rift is also home to one of the largest mountains present on the planet - which dominates the Southern area of the Rift - making entry from that direction a perilous journey even with technology. An agreement between the governing Corporations of Khrea and the local population of the Rift has ensured that the area has not fallen to vast development and exploitation that other areas have succumbed to - with untold resources remaining unexploited beneath the fertile soils of, arguably, the planet's only Bread Basket Region.

Petrified Sea
HQcZEzK.jpg
The vast remnants of an ancient Tropical Mangrove Swamp and its adjoining Coral Reef that had once dominated an inland sea and the estuary that fed into the location. Much of the region was rapidly consumed during shifting ecological and environmental events that saw much of the inland sea and the mangroves covered in a thick layer of mud and ash, while climate change greatly reduced the planetary population of tropical and sub-tropical regions, leading to further loss of what had once been a vibrant ecosystem. In the following eras, the harsh arid winds swept away much of the sediment that had accumulated, eventually revealing the petrified remains of the mangroves and corals. Greater erosion has led to the uncovering and natural development of larger outcroppings and monoliths - while the inadvertent introduction of Vampirikite, a crystal originally native to the planet Akeldama, to the region has seen the crystal flourish in the otherwise harsh environment that the local flora and fauna struggle to survive and live.

Enval Rise
NxvDIjH.jpg
Enval Rise is a semi-unique naturally occurring formation that dominates a low river valley. Its height, rising above the vast river valley below, ensures that it provides a commanding view and marks an optimal location for a defensive fortification. However, its natural beauty as well as its adoption by a handful of individuals as a place of pilgrimage for quiet contemplation has further ensured that no such development would touch the formation. In the time since the Astraeus arrived following the fall of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the small contingent of B'omarr Monks that had been evacuated from Tatooine has designated the location as a holy place, with their initiates often traveling from the B'omarr Citadel to the Enval Rise as a right of passage among that strange order of monks.

Whispering Forest
0dSUjrd.jpg
Even with a planet that can feel crowded, with a massive population maintained and housed in only a handful of metropolitan areas, there are still those locations that are heavily protected. The Whispering Forest is an idyllic location, with regulations, laws, and punishments of such measures to ensure that the location is respected. A dedicated forestry service maintains the idyllic old-growth forest, ensuring that the ancient trees at the heart of the forest are left untouched whilst newer growths at the extreme edges are permitted to be collected for exploitation. The Whispering Forest has since been designated both as a National Park - though only the more well-off denizens of Khrea can afford to visit - as well as a Natural Preserve for the native flora and fauna that are unique to the location.

The Mountains of Kaiburr
FEPimJ4.jpg
A vast mountain chain of brilliant crystals that shimmer various colors when struck by just the right angle of light - the Mountains of Kaiburr are the only known source of Kyber Crystals on Khrea. Though they have largely remained unmolested, they are, none-the-less, a highly sought after resource, which is more than enough reason that The Halcyon Corporation has retained strict measures of control and access to the site to prevent widespread exploitation of the mountains - which could potentially render the stunning vistas of the mountains as blasted holes and grounded hills of pebbles. The only known organization within the Ascendancy that has standing access to the Mountains of Kaiburr are members of the Medjai Order, and even they are under strict regulations to take only what is necessary and nothing more.

Life Wind Catacombs
Se5zFvI.jpg
A historical site that stands on its own merits and is as heavily guarded and traffic regulated, just as much as the Star Temple Ruins of Kwa-Sharu. The Life Wind Catacombs house the only known Zeffo Ruins that are present on Khrea, an apparent stopping point during the species' exile into the Great Unknown. Housed completely within a dead, hollowed-out volcanic mountain, the Catacombs share many of the markers that denote it as Zeffonian in nature. Though little of the overall complex has been fully explored, the Life Wind Catacombs share similarities to other Zeffonian Sage Catacombs; however, the presence of Tomb Guardians and complex puzzle locks have prevented true exploration of the site.

Star Temple Ruins of Kwa-Sharu
DaIyTAC.jpg
The Ruins are what remains of a vast temple complex which is layered, reflected in the simple fact that the upper sections of the temple do not match the lower sections, indicating that one species built their civilization atop the remains of a previous civilization. The upper sections of the Star Temple were once a vast complex of Sharu structures, from governmental and military buildings to housing and societal structures. These constructions were built atop older Kwa Ruins - which make up the bulk of the foundation as well as still hold the ancient Kwa Star Temple. The ancient Kwa Star Temple is hidden deep within the ruin complex, though the ancient Infinity Gate that the temple once housed is long since gone, destroyed during the fall of the Kwa Holdings, the temple itself remains. Permits just to set foot within the site - not to remove anything - are often exorbitant, preventing all save for the wealthiest or those backed by corporations or institutions from legally entering; though that still hasn't stopped some of the more daring smugglers from sneaking into the temple to search for anything that might be deemed valuable.

General Planetary Cultural Information
A planet in transition whose culture reflects that change - as the population is predominately those of the Vampirika Species and their Lesser variant cousins, the dominate culture of Khrea is that of the Vampirika Species; and even then those cultural practices are much more frequently melding with the cultural practices and social norms of those other species that have also come to call Khrea home. This can be seen in the establishment of houses - a stark contrast to the Vampirika's established Bloodlines and Covens - and have even embraced a more mercantile culture due to the influence of the Jawa and Ugnaught populations, as well as developing a greater appreciation for the natural world and its balance due to the influence of the Ithorian populations.

Daily Life and Society are dominated by the ever-present Corporations and Mega Corporations that have taken over every aspect of political and governmental power - with The Halcyon Corporation acting as the de facto planetary government. Society is thus split between the Employed and Unemployed; with upward mobility and societal advancement only accomplished by those that are employed by a Corporation - while the unemployed, often due to a criminal record or other downfalls, are treated more like second-class citizens. Where Khrea differentiates itself from much of the Ascendancy as a whole is in how its non-human and near-human populations are treated, given their own fair chance rather than the more humanocentric and xenophobic policies that seemingly have taken root on other planets.

Arts, Sports, and Religion are all unique to each species and their population centers or specific areas that they claim as their own safe-havens. Even these aspects of Halcian Culture continue to be changed, shifting and forming anew due to the continued melding of the other cultures and species that work together.

GOVERNMENTAL AND ECONOMIC INFORMATION
Form of Government:Corporate Republic
General Philosophical Alignment:Lawful Neutral
Affiliation(s):The Ascendancy
Planetary Wealth:Wealthy
Societal Stability:High
Additional Political, Economic, and Societal Information
Corporate Republic
A theoretical form of government; Run primarily like a business, Khrea is overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of the CEOs of the largest Corporations present on the planet. Each Corporation is responsible for the Social and Physical wellness of their employees all while adhering to the laws established by the overall Corporate Board. All utilities, such as Hospitals, Police Forces, Schools, and the Military - to name a few - are privatized and overseen by the Corporations. In this instance, The Halcyon Corporation acts as the de facto government and oversees all aspects, utilities, and faculties that a standard Planetary Government would handle.
Planetary Wealth Analysis
Though blessed with an abundance of natural resources, both exploited and otherwise unexploited, the true wealth of Khrea comes from its extensive trade and a myriad of trade routes throughout the Shiraya Expanse. More often than not, raw materials are heavily imported, either from neighboring planets or systems - or from a handful of in-system locations, and finished goods are exported; further marking up the price of those goods to increase Khrea's wealth and the profits that various Corporations consume. Additional wealth is often brought in from Pirate Hunters or individuals that "liberate" goods and materials that had previously been taken by Pirates, Smugglers, Raiders, and other such groups that operate within the Shiraya Expanse.
Planetary Stability Analysis
With every aspect of society controlled via Corporations in lieu of a standard Government, the Stability of the planet is surprisingly high - though this is due to the heavy restrictions put in place by the Corporations in question. Beneath the surface beyond the corner offices, neon-lit streets, and polished facades, Khrea is just like any other developed planet, hiding its own shadowy hives of scum and villainy. Visitors are highly encouraged to remain in specified well-lit areas for their own safety with only the most courageous, or idiotic, individuals braving the underworlds of Khrea.
Freedom and Oppression Analysis
The population of Khrea is divided between two sets of individuals, the Corporates and the Unemployed. In general terms, rights, freedoms, and all the trappings that come with such designations are highly enjoyed by the Corporates - or those that are Employed by a Corporation. The employed enjoy upward mobility and societal advancement, with the highest echelon enjoying luxuries that many can only dream of; in stark contrast are the Unemployed. Often, these individuals are unemployable because they lack skills - due in part to not attending a Corporate run School - or have a criminal record that prevents them from advancing further beyond the most demeaning jobs. These individuals are heavily regulated, kept under closer observation, and often lack even the most basic of necessities, never mind freedoms or rights.
On the recovery, possession, and sale of Artifacts
While not entirely illegal to possess artifacts, they are none the less, highly regulated. Individuals require multiple permits and licenses with fees in the tens of thousands, and that's only to be designated an approved recovered, dealer, or purchaser. This limit prevents all save for some of the wealthiest of citizens from recovering artifacts, let alone possessing them. Archaeological sites are highly regulated, with contracted permits often costing millions; and a single site can make or break a company - likewise - a single artifact could make or break a dealer, potentially bankrupting them in the process or setting them up for the rest of their lives. Additional laws and measures prevent Artifacts from leaving the planet, though a lucrative smuggling ring will, from time to time, arise in the underworld to ferry Artifacts off Khrea and into the hands of dealers and collectors across the Ascendancy.

MILITARY AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS
Level of Military Readiness
Following a similar naval doctrine as the Ascendancy; Khrea maintains an established naval force that is centered around speed and rapid response to maintain in-system security. Heavier vessels are often paired with long-range trade convoys that are traveling out of the Halcyon System, however, even these vessels are more centered around rapid response and are capable of fielding dozens of Starfighters or Small Interceptor Crafts to fend off Pirates or Raiders. The largest vessels - commonly classified as Light Destroyers or Star Destroyers - are rarer, and only make an appearance when fending off larger Pirate or Raider Armadas and are seldom seen outside of the Halcyon System.

In contrast, Ground Forces are sparse and follow a similar doctrine of rapid response. Dedicated Military Facilities maintain heavier garrisons that are often associated with standing militaries, including tanks, anti-aircraft vehicles, and ground support craft. These forces are seldom utilized in conflict due to their highly destructive nature, and smaller rapid response vehicles, tactical teams, and special forces are utilized to deal with day-to-day threats or the odd Pirate or Raider group that manages to land on the planet.
Corporate Defense Forces
Separate from any standing armed forces, and maintained completely by their founding corporations - Corporate Defenses Forces are the most common military and in many cases, law enforcement presence that the average citizen of Khrea is likely to encounter or see in their day-to-day lives. Each Corporation maintains its own Corporate Defense Force which maintains its own jurisdiction on company grounds or any property owned by the Corporation in question. Standard Forces are the most commonly seen, often including Corporate Recruits, Technicians, and basic Troopers. More specialized forces, often spotted escorting Executives and the Higher Echelon of Khrea Society, are much less common and undergo additional specialized training.
Technological level compared to the Galaxy Standard
Technology Level - Space - Galactic Standard
Best described as being on par with the Galactic Standard, the spread of technology on Khrea is much more regional rather than on a planetary scale. In Metropolitan areas, including neighboring suburbs, and regions, technology is of a higher level and quality akin to what is often seen throughout much of the civilized galaxy. In more rural areas or those areas further from these metropolitan areas, the level and availability of technology drops though not as drastically as seen on some planets - such as Tatooine or other Outer Rim Planets.

HISTORICAL PLANETARY INFORMATION
The History of Khrea is one that is told in waves that have waxed and waned like the tides. From the events surrounding its settlement in the Pre-Republic Era to the more recent Settlement of refugees that have fled the collapse of the Confederacy of Independent Systems seeking a new home in a rough and unfamiliar region of space. Its insular existence, the relative difficulty in arriving, and its secluded location at the furthest reaches of a Galactic Arm have ensured that Khrea and its neighboring worlds in the Halcyon System have largely been at the mercy of those that had called the Shiraya Expanse home rather than at the hands of external threats that a system with relatively open access would have experienced. Its sparse population, waves of settlement, and often forgotten existence has ensured that many of the largest calamities that other planets have experienced and weathered, had little effect on Khrea - though - it has still withstood the test of time and its own challenges.

During the years prior to the formation of what would become the Galactic Republic - Khrea was still very much in its infancy when the first wave crashed upon its shores. During their expansion from Dathomir across the Outer Rim Territories, the Kwa arrived within the Shiraya Expanse and it was only though the use of their Infinity Gates that additional travel to and from Khrea was possible. Between their own border tensions with the Gree Enclave and the threat posed by the rising Rakatan Infinite Empire, the Kwa that remained on Khrea began to slowly trickle away from the planet. During this time, they left their Star Temple - guarded by a massive Whuffa Worm - as the Kwa Holdings began to slowly pull back towards Dathomir in the wake of the terror that was the Rakatan Infinite Empire and its expanse.

At some point during the fall of the Kwa Holdings, and prior to their own self-imposed devolution, a group of Sharu managed to arrive on Khrea - be it through a miss calculation in their own vessels, or an errant attempt at escaping the threat that their people felt. The Sharu that did call Khrea home for a short period of time left behind their own ruins, built upon the ruins of the Kwa Star Temple - even developing a shaky symbiotic relationship with the Whuffa Worm that protected the Infinity Gate. The influence and settlement of both the Kwa and the Sharu is still evident to this day in the remnants of their ruined Temple and City complex.

The second wave that was felt by Khrea came during the time period of the Old Republic - when the Zeffo species, fleeing into the great unknown to find peace, came upon Khrea. By this time, the small enclave of Sharu had gone extinct - along with what few Kwa had remained after the fall of their holdings. Even the Whuffa Worm that had passed some time prior, either passing of old age or having been hunted by those that remained in an attempt to prolong their own survival.

While the historical record - as well as the discovery of massive catacombs, confirms - that the Zeffo had spent time on Khrea; that time was fleeting. They spent only enough time to construct the Catacombs, perhaps as a final resting place for one of their last Sages or some other leader prior to their own leaving. What remains of the Zeffonian species are the Catacombs as well as the Tomb Guardians that had been left behind to protect the structure.

Towards the end of the Old Republic and its Golden Age and prior to the declaration of a New Empire; the first settlers from Naboo arrived that would come to name this section of space at the edge of the galaxy as the Shiraya Expanse. They arrived with uncertainty - and a few that arrived on Khrea had even made their own place among the strange and twisted landscape, though knew little of the ruins beyond their potential wealth. Much of the minor development of Khrea began in this time, though even then it was limited to rural townships and small land claims, or the odd off fortress of a pirate or raider group that claimed to "rule" the planet.

It was the first iteration of the Ascendancy or whatever ravaging empire claimed itself, that had also to an extent, claimed Khrea. During this era, Khrea was still largely left alone - other than the odd arrival or missed hyperspace jump that forced a new individual or group to call the planet home; it experienced little in the way of proper settlement. Much of the development of Khrea would happen later, much later.

Little is still known or understood behind the thoughts, desires, or even the reasoning of releasing the plague that swept through the galaxy. The terrorist known as Zero had their own machinations and reasons to act as they had, and in the end, the plague ravaged entire populations, even leaving many planets nearly devoid of life. Those that survived did so by a hair, even after all of their attempts of turning ships away, closing their borders, and isolating themselves. In all of this, Khrea, had been lucky - its relative position and seclusion from the rest of the Galaxy, and by extent the Shiraya Expanse ensured that it never truly felt the full wrath of the plague. Its location, seclusion, and already limited population widely spread apart provided a further buffer from the horrors that the plague had lain upon other planets and systems.

Little is known of the events that took place on Khrea between the release of the Gulag Plague and prior to the arrival of the Khanate on the planet - though this could easily be due in part to a lack of recording or the simple fact that those that had already claimed Khrea as their home cared little for telling stories. Khrea had been largely left untouched and those that claimed it as home had been left to their own devices. Pirates and Raiders often carved out their own little fiefdoms and territories to go to ground on the planet - and it wasn't until the Khanate established its own presence that the planet had anything even remotely similar to a government presence.

During this time, the event that would ravish the galaxy for a second time occurred. The Netherworld claimed billions, if not trillions, in a single night, with many never seen again - trapped within the Nether itself. What remained, squabbling warlords, pirates, and raiders, as they were found themselves increasingly aligning with the Khanate, or falling to it when they attempted to resist. Still, Khrea had no real government, and even in time, the Khanate appeared to pull back any efforts to claim or colonize the planet.

Nearly overnight, the Southern Systems were beset upon all sides by enemies that had torn their way into existence, heralded by those that sought their own revenge against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In a matter of moments, simply holding the line was no longer feasible, and survival was a priority. The Astraeus, a massive Space Station that held Von Sorenn Industries and many of its Subsidiaries began to quickly make its way across the known territories of the Confederacy. Its purpose was to recover any and all assets and evacuate as many citizens of the Confederacy as possible. In this mission, it was succeeding, however, plans rarely survive contact with the enemy, and it wasn't long until the station was also beset upon by those that sought the destruction of everything associated with the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

At that moment, a calculated risk was taken, and the station was blindly jumped to safety - attempting to make it to a rendezvous beacon established by Remnants of the Confederacy. The Astraeus never made the rendezvous, its crew, citizens, and even Amelia von Sorenn was thought lost in space or worst, lost to the calamity that had just torn the Confederacy asunder. In the interregnum that followed, which saw the settlement of the evacuated Confederate Remnants upon Khrea, the bulk of the assets that had been on the Astraeus as well as the Station itself was utilized to ensure the survival of the Confederate Remnant. Among the various specimens, samples, and other materials were portions of Vampirikite - a crystal native to the planet of Akeldama. While the Vampirikite that was housed within Amelia von Sorenn's Office on the Astraeus has remained safely locked within a protective display case, other samples had become inadvertently introduced to the surface of the planet - likely from an accidental infection of evacuated personnel. Those infected were quarantined within a confined zone in the Petrified Sea - their eventual deaths at the hands of the Vampirikite, and its continued infection of local fauna and those ignoring warnings to remain away from the location, have ensured that the Vampirikite deposits have grown to a substantial presence within the Petrified Sea - leading to further quarantine and containment efforts.

Its been seven years since the Astraeus arrived above the planet, and in that time, those that had remained upon the station had claimed Khrea as their new home. In that time, they've greatly expanded across the planet and even tamed it in a matter that even the Khanate had thought impossible. Now, with The Halcyon Corporation firmly established and entrenched as the de facto government, Khrea has established itself as a beacon within the Halcyon System - seeking to ensure that the system itself becomes a bastion of trade.

Under Review Amelia von Sorenn Amelia von Sorenn

This is a richly detailed submission, and it's obvious that tremendous work went into it. Beautiful job!

I have just a couple of minor nitpicky things before I move this on to approval.

  • System Features: We generally try to steer clear of real-world names like Byzantium. Vale is already an Outer Rim planet.

  • Vampirikite: You mention this as having been inadvertently introduced to Khrea, but don't expand on that. Do you mean that people entered the end stage of infection and became masses of crystal? I don't see information indicating that Vampirikite can grow apart from the wound in the Force on Akeldama except within a host; did so many of the Khrea colonists succumb to infection that the crystal is now worthy of mention as a notable resource on Khrea? If so, that epidemic bears mention in the history section.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns!

  • Vale has been changed to Nirine
  • Byzantium has been changed to Vora

The Following has been added to the History Section
