A brilliant fire
Location: Kestri | Infirmary
"Let us know if you need help or anything."
"I will, thank you," Valery told the nurse, who finally left the room after Valery had been adamant about handling the rest herself. About an hour ago, she had been helped out of the bacta tank, which patched up most of the major injuries she sustained during the first training session with Kranak and Shai. Now, she sat on the medical bed, her back turned to the door, while she wrapped some bandages around her arm. She had already put on her pants and armored boots, but she was only dressed in a tight cropped top for now, until she was finished up and ready to put on her full outfit again.
Her body, despite being healed, felt incredibly sore and she was still low on energy as well. Every few seconds, her stomach growled and she couldn't even recall the last time she felt this thirsty. So one thing was for sure — the second she was ready to leave this infirmary, she was going to find some restaurant and eat as much as she felt like.
She had earned it, even if her performance in the training hadn't been entirely perfect.
After a moment, footsteps behind her drew her attention, and without even looking over her shoulder, she called out, "I said I could handle it." There was some frustration in her voice, as she believed it was the nurse again. But when her senses focused on the presence coming up behind her, she realized who it really was and turned her upper body to greet him.
"Oh hey, it's you - sorry about that. I thought you were someone else."
