- Helmet: Made of durable Gammaplast the helmet features an integrated Comlink and Scrambler, a Flash Visor, a Heads Up Display, and a basic Rebreather to allow for general purpose functionality.
- Lightly Armored: Allowing for plenty of movement while also keeping the head and upper body protected the armor is light in both weight and functionality.
- Simple: The simplicity of the armor allows for repairs to be done fairly easily if the materials and tools are available, the actual production can also be streamlined as well.
- Modularity: Given how simple and fairly bare the armor is in terms of specialization or simply more advanced components, the Legionnaire Armor provides the perfect framework for everything from heavier armor plating to environmental protection gear to be mounted onto.
- Lightly Armored: While the upper body and head are the most armored body parts, due to them being the most fatal if hit, the rest of the body is left far less defended against anything other than light blaster fire and shrapnel.
- Lack of Specialization: This armor lacks any sort of temperature control or modular elements that would allow it to reliably function in areas of extremely hot or cold temperatures for extended periods of time or specialization for operations outside of basic battles.
After years of training his cultists and gathering resources from Sith-Imperial storages and pirate leftovers alike, Alisteri Haxim declared that his cult's warriors would finally have a standard armor to wear into combat. Lacking in both large resources and mass production capabilities the armor was designed to be efficiently produced and simply made to allow for the cult to be able to produce as much of it as possible. Stylized after the armor of the Sith-Imperial Legion and made with input from Alisteri and Sith Legionnaire remnants the artisans and smiths of the cult crafted the armor to be as functional as possible with the resources they had available.
The upper body and head are the most armored parts, protected by Gammaplast, and as such the most fatal areas to shoot are discouraged from and protected. The rest of the torso has an armorweave tabard to allow for free movement while offering some additional protection. The rest of the body is essentially unarmored and unprotected however, due to a lack of resources, but limb movement is totally unhindered as a result.
While the soldiers of the Order of Wonosa would make use of the armor, and even one or two slightly modified variants of it, to great effect the weaknesses inherent to the armor were fairly obvious and egregious. Even with most of their engagements limited to skirmishes with pirates and gangs, some of the more heavily armed criminals of the Outer Rim had no trouble in picking apart the lightly armored Legionnaires. Not to mention proper soldiers on the handful of occasions they fought against them.
As such the Kerstas Legionnaire Armor would be revisited by the engineers of the Order of Wonosa and the military leaders within the ranks of the Legion. With greater access to more sophisticated methods of production, as well as inspiration and support from the ITA-01 and the Inquisitorial Armory of Faldos respectively, the armor would be slightly modified and updated so that it would be more suitable. The helmet would be upgraded, the tabard would be strengthened and the protection of it better distributed, and the overall armor would become easier to install dedicated modular additions to. More armor plating, environmental gear, more specialized equipment such as boosted comm-units, and in general more utility were the main focuses of the update.
