Description: In times of antiquity, the Jedi traveled the stars in search of those whom had within them to spark to become guardians of the galaxy, to become Jedi. It was a prestigious thing to travel with a Jedi and they did so in grand ships full of grace and power. Yet that practice waned as time passed until it became little more than legend.

In recent times, the Order has been struck with scandal after scandal and their power and statue diminish with each passing week. In order to inspire those who would doubt, and those would dare to believe that the Order can make a better galaxy for them, two ships were commissioned. Their likeness had not been seen amongst the Order in millennium. They were to be symbols, beacons of hope and light in a galaxy plagued with darkness and doubt. They would ferry the Jedi out in search of new life for the Order and begin repairing the damage that had been done to their image.

Named after legendary Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Praxeum shps are designed to reflect the Jedi's general philosophy. Eschewing hard, military lines, the Kenobi-class has a soft hull, curving and sloping to form great wings. Great balls of glasteel were blown and shaped by master craftsman and Jedi alike to create perfect shapes to adorn the hull of the ship. These serve as more than extravagant waste; they are shaped such to allow younglings and padawans a glimpse into the void of space and the life within.

Within, the halls of the ship are tall and wide, eliminating any sense of claustrophobia one might associate with life on a starship. Many areas hold large gardens where students are encouraged to meditate. There are even aquatic tanks and arid rooms for those more suited to such climates or who wish to test themselves. These rooms have careful climate controls and are tended to by the Jedi and droids stationed aboard the ship.

Meditation chambers dot the ship, allowing any who enter a chance to reflect upon lessons learned and lessons yet to be learned and replenish their strength for the future. For those who eschew long hours of silence, several great training halls exist within the ship to provide space to hone one's martial skills.

The Praxeum ships are not unarmed, hosting a large number of quad laser batteries to fend off enemy starfighters and boarding ships. A handful of ion cannons around the ship give a little extra kick. But the biggest surprise is the inclusion of a new weapon the Republic developed. Dubbed the P2-CA1 Beam Cannon, this singular gun has tremendous range and kick. Mounted on the bow of the ship, it has a near total 180° firing arc. Of course the ships are not meant to fight directly. They have strong sensors, bolstered by the many Jedi onboard. This allows the ship to spot practically any threat before it arrives. Their massive engines propel the ships through space with surprising agility, swiftly carrying them away from battle. As the ships are meant to be centers of learning, not warships, they are vulnerable to large warships and will continuously seek to flee from a fight.

While I'm not sure if gold plating is in theme with the monk-servitor aspect and austerity of the Jedi, there's nothing inherently wrong with this ship.
