Points of Interest:

Valley of the Gods
An ancient valley carved out thousands of years ago during the last great Ice Age; it has since been utilized by the native Remenkimi. Seen as a place where their species was first crafted by their deities, the entire valley is filled with monuments, temples and tombs dedicated to their deities and the greatest of their leaders. Serving much in the same capacity as the Valley of the Sith Lords on Korriban; it is laid out specifically in accordance to their mythos. At the start of the valley are great temples dedicated to their pantheon, beyond which lie the tombs of their greatest warriors and leaders.

Citadel of Qadesh
Once the home to a powerful Remenkimi Warlord and the first recorded Supreme System Lord that united the Remenkimi people; over the countless years it has gone from a powerful nearly impregnable Citadel, to a holy place where Qadesh is worshiped for his actions; having become venerated by the people and elevated to the status of a Demi-God. Should the need ever arise once more however; the Citadel has been kept as to ensure that it can once more stand as a bastion for the people.

Culture:

Hunting Culture:
Remenkimi culture revolves around the stalking and hunting of dangerous lifeforms. Primarily hunting not for sustenance nor elimination of threats, but purely as a means of entertainment and proof of worth. As such, they will only attack life forms that have the ability, natural or technological, to provide them with a challenge. Indeed, Remenkimi will often travel great distances to find worthy opponents, or seek out ways in which to attract or transport such prey to them. When travelling to other locations, they are often drawn by intense heat and armed conflict.

After making a kill, a Remenkimi will mutilate the corpse and turn it into a trophy. This can involve skinning or decapitating the carcass, or even removing all of the bones from the body altogether. One typical means of displaying a kill is to hang the flayed body upside down from a great height. Skulls and sometimes spinal chords are routinely removed and collected, and can commonly be found displayed on board vessels or even worn about the Remenkimi's person if size permits this.

Despite the ferocity and brutality with which they hunt and kill their prey, they adhere to a strict code of honor that forbids them from killing children or unarmed adults. They have also been known to spare pregnant beings and those with terminal illnesses, although they will not hesitate to kill such targets if directly attacked by them. A being who has managed to kill a Remenkimi in single combat is often spared and even rewarded with a gift (often a rare or exotic weapon) as a sign of respect. In even rarer cases, a being who has fought valiantly alongside a Remenkimi may be similarly honored.

Honor Code:

  • Hunting Worthy Game: When hunting, the hunter must be sure that his prey is considered game, and lawful to kill. Worthy game must fill the following criteria: Can defend itself and/or is able to kill the hunter himself, of age (killing children is considered the height of bad manners,) not linked to other lives (so that removing the prey will not doom another, e.g. pregnant women) and unwilling to be hunted (what honor in killing one who wants to die?)
  • Claiming the Kill of Another Hunter: To take the Trophy of another Remenkimi, living or dead, is considered to be a great insult. For example, two Remenkimi go on a Hunt. One Remenkimi takes on a Gundark and both are mortally wounded. While the wounded hunter is dying, the other hunter conveniently finishes off the prey and claims the kill as his own, abandoning the wounded Remenkimi. This is the most embarrassing crime, and the hardest to prove.
  • Murder of Another Remenkimi: To kill another intentionally. This excludes self-defense and killing a foe in a wrestling match to settle a dispute (see below.) This is the worst crime.
  • Never harm the innocent: Those who have done no harm should have no harm done to them.
  • Hunting for Food: When hunting for food, take only the weak. This is to purify the species' line.
  • Wounded Game: When coming upon game wounded by another hunter, and the animal is dying without sport, show honor to another's kill. If the game still shows sport, it is to be joint trophy.
  • Joining Another Hunt: Do not join another's Hunt, or Hunt in their territory, without their permission. All trophies taken by this manner are stolen trophies, and shall be dealt with by the rightful owner.
  • Mercy: Those who defeat you in a fair Hunt and show you mercy are to be considered our equals. You must either kill them and yourself, or treat them as an equal.
  • Code Violations: Those who break the code are renegades, and no longer considered to be a Remenkimi. They are to be destroyed when encountered.

Technology: Hyperspace - Capable of Interstellar Travel - On Par with most Galactic Technology
History:
Secluded in the Outer Rim Territories, it has been left alone for the vast majority of the events recorded in Galactic History. For most of the planet's history, the native inhabitants had been locked in a series of Tribal Wars and Blood Feuds that had lasted for nearly thousands of years; having reached the point that the original cause or whom began to feud was nearly unknown. It would not be until the Remenkimi named Qadesh; striking out from his massive citadel; would the war end the Remenkimi be united as a people.

For most of Galactic History however, the world was left along in the Outer Rim Territories. It was not fully discovered until the closing years of the Old Republic; during which the Republic Scouts that arrived were quickly destroyed and their vessel torn apart. This would push the Remenkimi towards a rapid advancement in science as they began to reverse engineer much of what was salvaged. For the moment their world remained unknown; as any information was not returned. Their 'rediscovery' would not happen until the Clone Wars, when the tribes once more united and destroyed a small CIS invasion force.

The further technology created another great leap forward; though the Remenkimi were smart enough to remain hidden on their world to prevent unwanted attention. From Kemet they quietly waited through the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire. They managed to defend themselves against a small Yuuzhan Vong scouting party; with their world being largely left untouched. Mainly due to its lack of a strategic position and the actions of the Remenkimi. It has thus sat in quiet obscurity for the past few hundred years; riding out the conflict between the Fel Empire and Darth Krayt's One Sith. Surprisingly the world fared well during the outbreak of the Gulag Virus; and only recently the leaders of the world have decided to make their existence known.
Notable PC's:

Intent:
Kemet is to serve as the homeworld of the Remenkimi species; which is likewise being worked on in tandem with the planetary submission. The world itself is to provide for a new setting and a new species to generate continued stories and events on the Chaos Board. There is no; nor was there any forethought given in producing a world and species that were or are specifically meant to break the status quo of the site.

The plans with Kemet and the Remenkimi species are to produce and provide a species that are capable hunters with their own unique views and customs. The planet itself, as mentioned will provide for a home of this species; as well as a home for forthcoming submissions for non-sentient species originating from the world.

Please refrain from posting WIPs in the Factory. There is no need to link species and planet threads to each other if they aren't completed/posted yet.

@mention me when this submission is ready for judging.

This is beautiful. :) But there are some things that need to be fixed.

It would be nice if you copied the culture of Remenkimi to this submission too. It would be easier.

Exactly what do you mean with "Technology: Hyperspace"?

I will copy paste the culture of the Remenkimi when it is finished

When it comes to technology levels I use a personal scale
  • Primitive
  • Pre-Industrial
  • Industrial
  • Modern
  • Pre-Hyperspace
  • Hyperspace
Hyperspace means that their technology is on par with the rest of the galaxy.

That's what I assumed. You can keep 'Hyperspace', but I'm going to ask you to add something to it which clarifies it a bit. Just plain 'Hyperspace' could mean anything from the beginning times of Hyperspace Technology to future tech.

Please @mention me when you're done with the culture.
