Kayatr'ade Forges is one of the most valuable and unique companies to the Mandalorian Enclave. Unlike large production companies such as Kestri Heavy Engineering, Kestri Hypernautics, or Kestri Weapons Foundry, Kayatr'ade Forges employs a small workforce of Mandalorian smiths dedicated to crafting Mandalorian armor and accompanying gear. Its headquarters and bulk production facilities are located in Tor Valum on the Mandalorian Enclave's capital world of Kestri, with smaller facilities at Roon's Enclave. Though much smaller than its contemporaries, Kayatr'ade Forges prides itself on the quality of its products. The company is also an important link in the chain of Mandalorian smithwork responsible for passing the secrets of beskar smelting and crafting from generation to generation.

Kayatr'ade Forges comprises Enclave smiths who have dedicated their craft to supplying their fellow vod. With many having been raised and trained under the tutelage of Enclave smiths, the smiths of Kayatr'ade Forges possess a unique loyalty towards their kin. Many apprentices under Kayatr'ade tutelage apply for work at Kayatr'ade Forges, ensuring a constant stream of new smiths to meet upticks in demand.
