SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High-End 360-degree Sensor Suite: Meant to be directly linked (see Biomechanical Integration) with otherwise eyeless creatures, suits of War Plate are studded with a vast array of advanced sensors, typically protected by overlapping armour plates. Practically speaking, the wearers should be able to perceive most non-stealth targets within a hundred metres or so - or significantly less when piercing walls.
  • Microrepulsor-studded Wings: One of War Plate's most visible features are the large wings that branch outwards from the back - studded with numerous microrepulsors, they allow the Angels of War to survive orbital drops through controlled deacceleration, leap as far as any Jedi, and glide short distances. They can even be used as weapons, shredding flesh and bone alike much like a high-powered repulse-hand.
  • Encrypted Recovery Beacon: Each suit of War Plate represents a significant investment, and so each suit is implanted with an encrypted recovery beacon, guiding other Karza'Arana and Sith-aligned support personnel to the fallen so that their armour can be recovered and repurposed for the next generation, with the bodies usually being converted to nutrient paste. Waste not, want not.
  • Biomechanical Integration: Designed specifically for the Karza'Arana, War Plate links to its wearers through biomechanical interfaces that allow the strange creatures to "plug themselves into", giving them the ability to directly perceive through the armour's sensors and control its functions as one would any other limb - most importantly the purely mechanical wings.
  • Class 6 Life Support Suite: Given that their wearers are unable to withstand the atmospheres of most worlds untreated, War Plate sports a top-of-the-line life support suite, which is able to convert most atmospheres to a medium they can breathe or keep them alive for nearly fifty hours in a vacuum - ten times that long if the creatures enter hibernation.
  • Integrated Weaponry: Built for war and war alone, War Plate typically features integrated weapons systems - almost all have arm-mounted Hellpyre Flamethrowers and hands that double as crushgaunts and vibroclaws, some also have wrist-rocket launchers and similar.
STRENGTHS
  • Angels of War: Designed as a force multiplier for already formidable warriors, War Plate enhances both the strength and agility of its wearer, much like any proper powersuit, feeds sensor data directly into the wearer through neural links, and features integrated weapons systems and teched up wings that increase mobility and lethality alike. Beware the Angels, for death follows in their wake.
  • Men of Iron: Permanently altered through the strange art of Sith Alchemy, War Plate is supernaturally durable, being able to shrug off sustained blaster fire with minimal risk of injury, survive collapsing buildings undented, withstand several lightsaber strikes, and even dampen the effects of telekinetic attacks - dampen, not ignore, especially powerful blasts will still fling them around like ragdolls.
WEAKNESSES
  • Men of Iron: War Plate is beyond heavy - should the integrated servomotors be disabled through especially powerful Ionic weapons, a powerful EMP, or Mechu-Deru, the previously graceful Warriors would barely be able to move, let alone fight efficiently.
  • Space Wizardry: Resistant to lightsabers War Plate may be, but repeated strikes will still tear through it - worse yet, the "mass-produced" alchemical alloys used in its construction will literally rust away upon contact with undiluted Light, whether from a Nexus or force abilities. More intentionally, Sith Lightning will pass unimpeded through the tainted armour, frying alive the (presumably treasonous) creature within.
  • Obscure Methods: The Karza'Arana themselves may be expendable, but the War Plate is a different matter altogether - while the alloys used are as close to "mass-produced" as alchemy allows, they still represent a significant investment in time and resources, and the Karza'Arana will go to great length to recover their fallen - not out of respect for the dead, but because the suits are so damned hard to make.
DESCRIPTION
The Karza'Arana, newest brainchild of Adrian Vandiir, were forged for war - it only made sense that equal care be placed in the armour in which they would spend their entire lives unless "promoted" to Sources. Having recently finished with
her most recent project, Archon Neris Farr of the Primyn Group gladly accepted the task in exchange for due credit and [Redacted].

Much like the Sith Spherecrafts, what would eventually become War Plate would be forged from alchemical alloys - though unlike the starfighters, War Plate was not meant for the Sith themselves, and so certain shortcuts were taken and a formula created to mass-produce alchemical alloys - well, mass-produce in the sense that one could dump the task on an Apprentice Alchemist and call it a day.

Taking heavy inspiration from the Mandalorians upon which the Karza'Arana themselves were "based", War Plate possesses a jetpack analogue of sorts in the form of their wings, crushgaunt analogues, and very often wrist-mounted flamethrowers. Their intended use is quite different, however, being designed to tank small arms fire with impunity as the Angels of War carve through enemy forces in close-quarters combat.
