DESCRIPTION
The Kal'galaar (Mando'a for "Blade of the Hawk") is a full-size Mandalorian combat knife forged by the armorers of Clan Munin on Kestri. Unlike specialized tactical stealth blades, it features a heavy, wide-bellied drop-point blade intended for brutal close-quarters defense and rugged frontier survival. The blade itself is carved from a solid, un-layered block of pure Kestri beskar, presenting a sleek, uniform metallic sheen. The most prominent feature of the weapon is a line of traditional Mandalorian Mando'a script deeply etched along the flat ridge of the upper spine. The engraving reads: "Ib'tuur kal gaur b" ("Today, the blade guides the way")—a traditional Outrider's mantra meaning that when a scout is lost in the black or trapped in a cockpit, their weapon and their instincts are their only true compass. The grip is entirely practical, stripped of any ornamental aesthetics to serve a pilot's needs. It is wrapped in a flat-profile, heavily textured slip-resistant rubber compound designed to provide a flawless grip even when slicked with engine grease, hydraulic fluid, or sweat. A hidden, recessed toggle switch on the guard activates the high-capacity internal power cell, bringing the blade to life with a quiet, aggressive ultrasonic hum that allows it to easily slice through raw starship hull plating.​
