OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Kakija Duroki - Memory Consumer
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Homeworld: Artorias
  • Language: Basic, High Sith
  • Average Lifespan: 70 years
  • Estimated Population: Planetary
  • Description: The Kakija Duroki are an abominable cross between a bor gullet and a Quarren, fused together and enhanced through dark side alchemy. Pale blue skin, clawed hands, and a multitude of face tentacles makes just the sight of these creatures a true horror.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average height of adults: 2.2 meters
  • Average length of adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Pale blue, grey
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most prominent feature of the Kakija Duroki are definitely the tentacles on its face and the one it conceals within its robes (sprout from their back). The pair of tentacles hidden by their robes can act as a second pair of hands, secrete a paralyzing agent, and most insidiously, act as a secondary vector for consuming a victim's mind.
  • Races: No other races currently
  • Strengths:
  1. Leftover from the bor gullet species, the Kakija Duroki have the ability to access a victim's mind, reading and erasing their thoughts and memories, by enveloping the victim's head with their tentacles. However, unlike with the bor gullet species, the ability has been enhanced through Sith alchemy into a form of Drain Knowledge that they use to consume the minds as well. - Use against PCs requires permission
  2. Through Sith alchemy, most of the Kakija Duroki also have access to a limited selection of mentalism Force abilities, such as Qazoi Kyantuska (only able to dominate victims of their feeding), Mind Shard, and Mind Trick. - Use against a PC requires permission
  3. Another gift from the Lady of Secrets in their creation is their secondary tentacles have tiny needles that can be used to inject a victim with a paralytic nerve agent, rendering them unable to move for ten minutes, and making them easy prey. - Use against a PC requires permission
  4. If someone tries to access the mind of a Kakija Duroki, they will encounter significant mental defenses.
  • Weaknesses:
  1. A sufficiently powerful and trained Force user can resist their mentalism abilities, as well as Epicanthix are generally immune to anything they might do.
  2. Because of their focus on their mental powers, the creatures are rather frail. Their strength is less than that of the average human, and their bodies go into shock faster if they are shot.
  3. Sonic weapons are ridiculously effective against the Kakija Duroki, disrupting their ability to access their powers at least, to causing them to die if subjected to them for even a short length of time.
  4. Weapons that use extreme heat or cold can easily kill Kakija Duroki, even just high or very low temperatures can be enough to kill them
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivore, the leftover thoughts and memories that their Sith Masters view as unimportant from their victims
  • Communication: Speech through Basic and High Sith
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: Much like a prior creation, the Kakija Duroki have been allowed to create their own culture, although subordinate to the Sith. A hierarchical society was created based on cunning and the prowess of an individual's mental abilities, with a grand council established as a ruling body of the new species. To rise in their society, one has to either consume or enslave a rival's mind, or they must use cunning and secret schemes to undermine their rivals. However, if a challenge fails or a scheme is discovered, the higher ranking Kakija Duroki will punish the failure by consuming their mind, one memory and thought at a time. They have an inbred loyalty to the Sith, worshiping them as their Great Creators.
  • General behavior: Kakija Duroki believe themselves to be among the superior species of the galaxy that serve the Sith, and thus their behavior towards others borders on the arrogant or snobbish, except to their Sith Masters. They are truly sadistic creatures, and they take great pleasure in torturing the minds of their victims as they consume them. It is not uncommon for a Kakija Duroki to reduce a victim's mind to the point where they are a husk, little more than a slave that the Kakija Duroki keep around to do menial tasks for them. To find a mate, a Kakija Duroki needs to have dominated seven rivals, in one way or another. Gender does not matter in their eyes, only how cunning and powerful an individual is. If an individual is born without access to the additional mental Force powers of the species, they are immediately exiled from the society if high born, or executed.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Continuing with her various experiments, the Lady of Secrets established a new facility on Artorias to begin work on another curiosity of hers. Having studied the bor gullet species, she recognized that they might have some value to the Sith, but not in their current form. They needed to be altered, to be uplifted through the dark side to become invaluable servants to the Sith. Eldaah was dispatched to Minntooine to kidnap several colonies of Quarren subjects, bringing them to the facility on Artorias. Once there, they were subjected to a horrible fusion through Sith alchemy with the bor gullet specimens the Lady of Secrets had collected. What emerged were named by the Lady of Secrets the Kakija Duroki, the Memory Consumers.

The new species, empowered through the dark side with powerful mentalism abilities to be combined with their leftover traces of bor gullet abilities to access minds, were allowed to spread across the planet, creating their own culture and dominating the world in quick order. For them, they lived to discover secrets for their Sith Masters, draining knowledge, memories, and thoughts from victims. In a way, they are an ideal subject for torture and interrogation of the enemies of the Sith.
