Personality - A stern, yet caring man, Kaine Zambrano had known difficulty all his life. From the premature death of his mother and father to the oppression imposed upon his people by the far-away Emperor of the Empire that held dominion over them all he has weathered through it all, coming out a hard, pragmatic, and realist leader who rose through the civil hierarchy of his people to become the magistrate of Canthar, the capital of Panatha. Still, he carries great humor about himself is very passionate about his family and his people, whom he views as having a destiny greater than that they endure being perpetually stuck under the Emperor's thumb. He cares a great deal for his beloved wife, Awan, and his son Lamech and works endlessly to secure their safety and well-being in the dystopian galaxy they inhabit.

Appearance - Uncommonly tall, even among Epicanthix, Kaine stands at a staggering eight foot two inches with a lean, yet muscular, body and a head full of long black hair occasionally tied back in a ponytail. His face is typically considered handsome, and his eyes are a piercing emerald green. He wears the garb of a Panathan government official which includes a black double-breasted dress tunic and trousers, a corresponding cover, a pair of black leather gauntlets, a rank badge fastened his left breast denoting his station as a magistrate, and a black duty belt with a silver buckle and utility boxes with a holster for his standard-issue blaster pistol. When not on official business he is known to wear a black and red doublet with matching trousers, but he also keeps his pistol holstered at his hip at all times save for when in the sanctuary of his abode.

History - Born to Hazael and Ashriel Zambrano on the jungle planet of Panatha in 787 ABY Kaine was the heir to a wealthy noble family that had existed back several centuries, and one that was secretly mired in the Dark Side and incest. That all changed when his parents were murdered by the Galactic Emperor's goons during an altercation in Canthar, leaving an orphaned Kaine in the custody of his uncle, Adriel. His uncle, far more compassionate and decent than his brother and sister, brought up the young Kaine as if he were his own son and tutored him in the arts and sciences as well as enrolling him in the regional Imperial Academy. Graduating with honors, Kaine decided to remain on his home planet and become acquainted with the local politics.

At the age of thirty-three, he married another Epicanthix noble, Awan Topal, who quickly gave birth to a son whom they named Lamech Zambrano. While both Kaine and Awan grew to love and care for each other, the foundation on which their marriage was based was one of social and political standing, and effectively joined both House Zambrano and House Topal together with their marriage.

As Kaine become more and more adept in the political dealings between the regional government and that of the larger galaxy-spanning empire Panatha was a part of, the more and more disenfranchised with the Emperor he became. He could not openly voice his opinion thanks to the seemingly endless legions of the Emperor's all-listening mooks, he could speak freely within his own mind (which thanks to his species' genetic mutation was untouchable by any Force-assisted intrusion). He dreamed of a day when Panatha would be free from the Empire, but until then he would remain compliant and do his best for his people.

After the rebellion and fall of the Empire, Kaine returned back to Panatha and helped found the Republic of the Pacanth Reach. Because of his efforts to aid the rebellion and his leading role in Panatha's liberation, he was unanimously voted in as the nascent Republic's first Premier.
