STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
+ Scoundrel - A rogue and former smuggler, Kaas' personal training comes from a wealth of situations requiring improvised and adaptive methods most consider criminal. Because of this background he has gained a focus foremost upon personal priorities over military structure and thus will do what he has to to protect "yours truly".
+ Gunslinger - A high proficiency for side-arms, experienced with the blaster pistol and preferring such a weapon for it's light weight and ease on the draw.
+ Brawler - Most especially when intoxicated, this mans pride is easily bruised and most often ends up in some form of a physical scuffle. Fortunately he has evaded a murder by the preference of his fists, more often talking with them than anything else.
- Emotionally Fueled - Whether passionate or instinctive, it's not completely known what exactly he's driven towards yet simply pushed by what he feels. He has no end-game or long term goal yet simply lives day by day and cares for only the moment. He has little ambition for life-long success and merely seeks to go from one pay cheque to another.
- Recklessness - Young and very much the risk taker, Kaas shows very little regard for those around him and will shoot for the hoops so to speak to ascend the ranks. His ego is cocky as hell and because of this he has been ill-regarded among his peers in training. Promotion seems most unlikely upon the reputation he has earned alone.
- Vagabond - One who is unable to commit, credits drive him where most other forms of loyalty escape him. He has no friends and rarely earns credibility with anyone outside of those that might put a price to his name. The expectations of Society are out of his grasp completely.
APPEARANCE:
Young and Suave, Kaas keeps a tidy appearance for the sake of his affiliation and representation to the First Order, as has been made abundantly clear on countless occasions that "Criminal filth are not fit for the First Order's grand Navy". Not uncommon for he to push his luck, he has perhaps taken his time in learning this lesson and following an extended length of military training, reigning far longer than was typically required of him, he has since pulled his head in at the least, on the outside so to fall in line with the expectations placed upon him.
Typical duty would see Kaas equipped with the standard gear of a naval pilot under the First Order, though outside of combat and training environments, he adorns the uniform of their people, a standard grey with fewer insignia to depict his lowly yet none the less admirable rank.
Notable features consist of a single scar running from his right eyebrow to his hairline, evidence of an injury taken during a failed emergency landing during his less then civilian days.
BIOGRAPHY:
Arrested for illicit trades and the smuggling of goods across imperial borders, Kaas was found guilty and sentenced to a mid-term stint of hard labor and character reform, though he didn't take to this new life of controlled leisure well, his time within imprisonment spent fighting with his fellow inmates if not the guard themselves. Eventually things got so bad that he had to be moved to a district of tighter security for his personal safety against the reputation he had earned with the other inhabitants on the block.
With the initiation of war between the Galactic Alliance and the First Order, an opportunity was offered to Kaas of which he initially declined yet later saw reason to accept followed a near shanking while walking the yard. An Officer of government had approached a number of inmates hand picked for the possible training of the armed forces, Kaas' reputation as a crack shot pilot earning him one such spot upon their list of targets justified. Able to pay off his crimes to the First Order through service to the people in a time of war, he agreed to a very meek monthly pay cheque enough to sate his expenditures.
His first year of training within the Navy went about as well as expected for a person of his particular background, getting into scuffles with his fellow trainees as much as he had done with his peers inside, his lack of regard for persons around him held him back a great deal. The results however that he gave in simulations and combat training ranged above and beyond expectation; he an ace at the controls of smaller craft would later be reluctantly taken in as a TIE Operator, the life expectancy of said pilots alleviating certain concerns around his personal etiquette in human relations.
