SPECIAL FEATURES

• Mimetic projectors and Pheromone synthesisers allow the unit to disguise itself amongst various creatures to prevent hostility and to allow safe interaction.
• Can communicate with many non-human species using audio, visual, electromagnetic and sonic methods and is programmed with the communication algorithms for many species. It may also the aforementioned mimic systems in this manner.
• The unit can rapidly repair itself of minor damage using inbuilt nanotechnology. The length of time taken depends on the complexity of the damage. A single finger may take a few seconds, and arm half a minute, sophisticated systems may take a matter of hours. The machine has limited on board material cache to repair approximately ten percent of its body mass but can use the nanites to absorb material by physical contact. This however doubles the repair times as material needs to be processed into usable molecules first. As long as the core systems remain functional (central processor, power supply, nanite control, memory systems) even catastrophic damage can be repaired given enough time.
• The unit, whilst it can be modified, has the appearance of a young human female of a similar appearance to the deceased niece of the scientist that created it.

STRENGTHS

• Beast Specialist Bio-mimicking and smart multifaceted communication systems allow the machine to be very capable at interacting with a variety of unusual creatures and encouraging them to behave in a manner that is desired.
• Huge processing power Intended to function as a scientist, the machine was built with very large data banks and processing speeds
• Durability The machine is designed to be around some of the most hostile creatures in the galaxy and survive. To this end it has significant defenses against the most likely threats they pose, specifically physical trauma and acidic sprays/digestive acids and similar.
• Self repair If the creatures do manage to damage the machine it is capable of repairing itself to a a fully functional state, hopefully learning from its mistakes.
• Phsical capabilities It is a droid, it is physically stronger and more capable than the equivalent modified human.

WEAKNESSES

• Inefficient combat algorithms: The unit is classified as 4th degree because it is armed. But it does not have specialist military training and too much of its priority systems are tied up into personality and scientific systems to turn it into a machine of war. It is approximately as capable in combat as a basic trained soldier of the line.
• Repair dependent on core systems: If any of the three core systems listed are destroyed (CPU, power generation, nanite control), auto-repair functions will be disabled. These systems are what the machine is programmed to consider its brain and heart
• No inbuilt resistance to the force: This is a machine of advanced circuits and wires, it has no will to fight the force and the materials closed were not particularly forceful resistant as it was determined it would interfere with animal interaction.
• Mechanical predictability: As a droid it is typically less flexible and unpredictable than an organic making its behaviour patterns potentially possible to observe and predict by someone who wishes to do so.
• Apparent immaturity: The intelligent algorithms first installed were too good at just using the data given to them that they made a poor scientist. In order to encourage the machine to be better at questioning and wondering about the data, a degree of child like thought patterns had to be added which has then infected several other personality aspects.

DESCRIPTION
June was created by Dr. Althea Varrick to be a personal research assistant capable of being routinely exposed to particularly dangerous biological specimens and performed this role above expectations for a time. Eventually however Dr. Varrick was involved in a terminal incident and before death had her personality overwritten onto Juno in order to live on.
