- Sticky Shots - Each scatter shot sticks upon impact and then ignites. This effect is greatly pronounced with the alternate fire.
- Blobulon - Alternate fire acts as a sticky incendiary grenade, exploding upon contact and igniting the immediate vicinity with sticky flame.
- Outta Range - With a very low effective range and firing very slow shots, this gun is not meant for hectic combat.
- Small Mag - Only having 6 shots (1, using alternate fire), this gun requires frequent reloading.
The JSA-PLASSHOT6 is a new type of plasma weaponry, using standard plasma energy in a new way - instead of simply exploding on contact, the plasma instead ignites, burning like napalm as it sticks to its targets. In alternate fire, the entire magazine is expended in a single slug-like shape, exploding upon contact like a sticky incendiary grenade, coating the vicinity in napalm-like fire.
Alternate fire is activated by the thumb trigger and can easily switch back and forth. The magazine (a plasma canister) is ejected by pumping the shotgun once; the weapon is primed again upon inserting a fresh canister.
The efficiency of alternate fire is drastically reduced on a magazine that is less than full; it requires a full canister for maximum effect.
