[SIZE=9pt]Deciding the Jedi Shadows, and the Jedi in general, had not really developed the needed tech and protection that they needed in their continuing battle with the Sith, Taeli and her team at Aurora Industries began the process of developing a brand new armor and robes for the Jedi Shadows. Looking over the older designs by observing her sister and Master Karr’s armor and robes, she noted a several flaws that needed addressed.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]Number one on her list was the dual goal of protection and stealth, as she deemed the current materials useless to the goals of a Shadow. Going with a cortosis-weave underlay that was made into the robes of armor-weave, Taeli also added photoreactive fibers into the robes to accomplish this goal. The result was that the robes now were much more resistant to a lightsaber, but could not short out the blade itself, while the photoreactive fibers would absorb light and allow the user to blend into their surroundings, making Force Camouflage and Stealth easier. The fibers will be shorted out if hit by a lightsaber, leaving a patch of the robe that does not bend to the background and make the user easier to track until those fibers can be restored out of combat.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The robes also integrate the old mask system developed previously, but now the masks will be made out of impervium to allow them a better chance of surviving a hit from an attack and protecting the valuable electronics contained in the HUD. The gauntlets and boots of the robes, when worn as necessary, are also made of impervium to allow them maximum survival through wear and tear, with the boots containing sound-dampeners within their heels to eliminate the sound of footsteps.[/SIZE]
