OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create a home for academy students who want to train at this academy.
  • Image Credit: Water Discus Hotel, Dubai
  • Canon: N/A
  • Permissions: Any
  • Links: Cannon Planet - https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Giaca
SETTING INFORMATION

  • Structure Name: Jedi Academy
  • Classification: School
  • Location: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Giaca
  • Affiliation: The Jedi Academy
  • Accessibility: It is in the northern portion of the planet in the middle of an ocean. It's accessible by water craft or by landing a space craft in the designated area of the school. It is not heavily protected and is welcoming to visitors.

  • Description: The Jedi Academy building is a structure that is both above the surface and under the water. The building features twenty seven floors, only the top four of which are above water. The Academy is equipped to house three hundred students, faculty and guests.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Hanger Port - An above surface area where ships can land. It accommodates up to three star fighter squadrons and several frigates.

Danger Room - a holographic room that can be set to virtually any setting to allow students to train in a risk free environment

Underwater reading room - this room serves as a small library for students wishing to study Jedi history and technique

Jungle Path - an area of the outer islands where masters take students for harsh survival missions

Cafeteria - serving faculty and students with nutritious meals .

Student dormitories - students stay in dorms where a small bed is provided along with a dresser. Many times students are placed with a roommate

Faculty lounge - a place where faculty and staff can gather

Student rec room - the recreation room where students can find sports, games, and other entertainment venues

Shark Fin Cantina - a small lounge for those of age that offers refreshments and accommodations for out of town guests

Faculty offices and quarters - faculty and staff generally have an office that is adjacent to their own personal quarters

SECURITY
Low - A security system that can lock down the building and Jedi guards. Since this is a school the top priority is education, not defense. If attacked the primary directive would be to evacuate the learners, not defend the academy.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Jedi Academy was built in 839 ABY by two Jedi, one who studied the lightside and one who was a dark Jedi. The two Jedi sibblings realized that the Jedi Order was fractured and that those who called themselves Dark Jedi could offer resources to the Jedi, especially in the day and age where the galaxy was not as divided into black and white like it was during the galactic imperial war. Securing the funds from a generous non-profit, the two Jedi built the academy on the remote world of Gaica. The structure now serves to educate both dark and light Jedi in the ways of the Jedi Order and the Force.

There are just a few points before I believe this will be ready to be stamped.

1. Image Credit.
Image Credit: Water Discus Hotel, Dubai

This states a credit, but does not provide a source. As per the Codex Rules, there needs to be a link that attributes the credit to the original artist when possible. Here is a suggested link, since it contains both your image and also states who the architect/design firm was.

2. Affiliation.
Affiliation: The Jedi Academy

Does this refer to a particular faction on the board? If yes, please link the faction. If this is meant to refer to the Jedi Order more generically, please link to the Jedi Order.

3. Points of Interest.
Danger Room - a holographic room that can be set to virtually any setting to allow students to train in a risk free environment

I'm fine with this concept, as holograms and hard light both exist in Star Wars, but calling it the Danger Room triggers the prohibition against cross-over roleplay. As such, this needs to be described with a different name.

Those are my thoughts. Please tag me when you have completed any edits.
