Happy New Year Everyone!
There has been some discussion about how the site will progress with the community this year. From map wipes, to new features, to making minors great again, to discussions on revamping the faction game entirely—We’ve got a lot to look forward to. In the meantime, we wanted to provide a few things for you to test out.
Updated Mandates:
Several of the previous Mandates such as Archival Alliance, Carrion Fields, Rapid Expansion, and Manifest Fleetocracy were either never used or no longer suit the current rule set in regards to invasions or the number of allotted PVE Threads that can be submitted to the map. They were removed. We’ve added a few new ones for your enjoyment called: Collateral Damage, Hyperlane Trader, Lucky Looter, Rebel Storm, Self Destruct, Total War, and Vassal States.
As the Invasion between the GA and the Maw was just announced we will honor any mandate changes from any faction regardless of when they were updated last to facilitate your story needs. If you have questions about the mandates please ask on the forums and we will do our best to reply in a timely manner.
Codex and Factory Notes:
The Codex has a new “Family Template” as requested. If there are other templates that you would find useful for the Codex and Factory—Reach out to
John Locke
and
Srina Talon
and we’ll see what we can do.
From this point onward we will be allowing all BB Code to Codex and Factory Submissions. Yes. This means TABS are now legal. Please, contain your excitement. We know, wild times. Jokes aside...We’re trusting you to use these features wisely. Anything that makes a submission hard to read, follow, or navigate will need to be adjusted. If we see abuse of this feature we will handle it on a case-by-case basis, however, if it becomes an overall issue we may need to roll it back. Think of this as a testing ground.
The Factory and Codex will be re-opening in the next day or so. It’s expected sometime after 1/8/2023 11:59PM EST but it just depends on when someone is available to unlock the forums. Remember that any submissions posted to the Pre-Codex or the Pre-Factory will need to be re-posted at your leisure as Staff no longer moves them for you.
