HISTORY
-PART ONE: WHO I AM, WHO I MIGHT BE-
Jame was born to Amera and Roby Dar on Lorrd, one of two children, the other being Rognan Dar, her twin brother. When Jame was too young to remember, she lost her parents in an explosion, and was taken to be raised by her father's brother, Uncle Rokan, quickly forgetting her own brother, but having the knowledge of what happened to her parents, though the tale of it that her uncle told never seemed entirely truthful. Nonetheless, her childhood was otherwise happy, and she was growing up with a love and affinity for languages and music, as well as quickly budding empathic abilities.
At the age of ten, however, her uncle was taken by the same methods, their home being blown up while she was on her way back from a school concert. From then on she was taken care of by others, still managing to make it through school, and college. She went on to leave Lorrd for adventure, to see the galaxy, and take various jobs, primarily on Corellia as a counsellor and a DJ. However, the bug of adventure still had a very strong hold on her, and one day, an encounter with an old school friend offered her a way to sate that craving.
Not that it was necessarily all that legal. This was where her life as a pirate began, pillaging unwitting vessels, revelling in the spoils, a life that felt good and fun... but it never felt completely right. Eventually, it became too much to bear, her relationships with the crew started coming undone, and she ended her time with them, back on Corellia, a year and a half later. Arriving back on that world, she spent a great deal of time thinking on all the good and bad she had done, often wandering out to one of Corellia's beaches to think.
It was here that her life would change yet again, when one day, she sat on the beach to think, a breeze coming in off the sea as she played a tune on her tin flute, carrying the music to any that might hear. This drew to her a man not too different from herself in appearance and age, to listen, and watch the sea. But it seemed he was watching her too. Before long, she couldn't ignore her audience any longer, and a conversation was quickly struck. Over the course of the conversation, the man whom she now knew as Rognan Dar, or 'Rog', came to the conclusion that she might be sensitive in the Force. A surprise, but a reasonable conclusion to come to, given that when he responded to her greeting with his mind... she easily talked back in kind. There was much conversation of where she had come from in this life, but the hour was getting late. Agreeing they would talk the next day, Jame and Rog went their separate ways to get a good night's rest.
But there was little rest to be had. Dreams... nay, nightmares, plagued them both, and robbed them of sleep, any attempts to regain slumber being futile. It was in the wee hours of the night that Jame and Rog met again, each questioning who the other was, due to the nightmare, or as Rog posited, the vision(s) they had. As they talked, it was clear that they saw similar things, and that the connection was still there.
It became undeniably clear. This man was her brother and she, his sister. His twin. That her Uncle had taken her, not because both her parents were dead, but because of jealousy that his own brother had won over the woman that he too had loved.That her mother had went out with her brother, and her uncle had blown up her father in his jealousy and stolen away with her - a piece of the woman he loved. From then on, they would never be apart again. In the gladness of their rediscovery of one another, Jame and Rog had breakfast, then he took her to the Jedi and the Republic. Here, she made many friends, and had a good, kind master by the name of Shade Magus, but it wasn't very long before war broke out with Sith on their doorstep. Rognan, having been knighted, went along with her still-new master to fight for Coruscant.
They never came back. And in her grief, old friends came into her life once again. 'Pirate with us again, for old time's sake!', they said, and feeling as if she had no-where else to go, she went along with them. They operated from Lorrd this time, out of a pirate holdout they had fashioned for themselves and others of their extended-yet-small network. But once again, it didn't feel right, but in her grief... familiarity was comfort, no matter what it was.
One day, when back at the pirate stronghold, others came. And they were Jedi... of a different kind, come to free Lorrd of what ailed it, and in the process, Jame was captured along with the pirates. Ferverntly, she pleaded her case, begging to be taken in as the Jedi Padawan she had been in her happiness, instead of this despicable life she had turned to, in her grief.
From that day forward, she would never turn back.
