STRENGTHS:
Jedi Master: Iroh Gedari has trained, studied, and served as a Jedi in the field for the better part of over fifty years, as well as trained an apprentice to full Knighthood, all of which has earned him the rank of Jedi Master.
Self Control: Iroh Gedari has through training gained control over his emotions, enabling him to remain calm in the face of dangerous situations.
Noble Birth: Iroh Gedari was born into minor Alderaanian noblity, and while he does not partake in affairs his name still carries quite a bit of weight in the right circles.
WEAKNESSES:
Gray Haired: Despite his years of experience and power with the Force, Iroh is only human. Over fifty years of continuous service has taken a toll on his body that while delayed due to proper care, can limit his ability in the field.
Need a Hand: Iroh lost his right arm just above the elbow when he was in his twenties, forcing him to acquire an artificial prosthetic. While being a piece of some of the finest medical prosthetic technology available in Galactic Alliance, it leaves him vulnerable to ion attacks which would render his right arm useless, as well as any magnetic based traps that an enemy might employ.
APPEARANCE:
Iroh Gedari stands at six feet two inches, weighing in at one hundred ninety five pounds. His once brown hair has turned salt and pepper gray with age, his beard showing more white in it than his hair, which he keeps long and swept back. His eyes are colored blue. Typically for clothing he wears a white undertunic with dark brown hooded overtunic and matching colored cloak and pants, along with sturdy boots and belt. Over his right hand he typically wears a leather glove covering an synthflesh artificial right hand.
BIOGRAPHY:
Iroh Gedari was born on New Alderaan into minor nobility, the second son of Jethro and Irene Gedari. Taken into the Jedi Order at the age of six years old, Iroh quickly stood out amongst his peers as both a individual strong in the force, and an individual gifted with intelligence that seemed beyond his age. This natural talent and intelligence led to him training under controversial yet respected Jedi Master Kell-Von Dedyken as a Jedi Guardian. The two were often known to be involved in many assignments that were supposed to be routine, in an attempt by the Jedi Council to keep Dedyken out of their hair, which would turn into full blown galactic incidents as both Iroh and Kell-Von had a tendency to stick their noses into anything that seemed suspicious to them. When Iroh turned twenty three, he successfully passed his Knight trials, becoming a full Jedi Knight.
Iroh would go on to follow in his master's line of work of serving "The Living Force" over a strict maintenance of rules and order, despite many setbacks including the loss of his right arm above the elbow. Despite many rumors as to whether he would take an apprentice or not, Iroh seemed to not be in that big of a hurry to take on a padawan learner, seeming to be married to his work as a Jedi Knight, which many love interests would note with both disappointment and exasperation over the years. This all changed one day when Iroh was assisting Coruscant Security Forces with a bomber who had taken a subway car full of innocent commuters hostage. Iroh was attempting to talk down the suspect when an overzealous security sniper fired a shot, missing the suspect who then detonated his bomb. Iroh managed to put up a force protection barrier which saved the majority of the passengers, but he was unable to seal the bomber in by himself and ten innocent civilians were killed, including a newly married young couple named Denno and Eliza Tenneth who were traveling home with their infant son. Eliza managed to protect her son from the blast at the cost of her own life. Iroh held her in his arms as she died, and while he did so he sensed that her son Caldon was quite strong in the Force. He then promised her that he would take care of her son, and would raise him like his own.
Doing so turned into quite the challenge for Iroh, who despite having little to know idea what he was doing managed to raise Caldon with the assistance of other Jedi within the Order. The boy took quickly to Jedi training, showing that Iroh's initial impressions were correct. Besides having a positive effect on the boy, Iroh also came to understand the effect that Caldon was having on him as well, the experiences giving him more patience and understanding that he thought were possible. He had truely come to see Caldon not just as an apprentice, but as a son as well. His heart ached for Caldon when Caldon's best friend and rumored love interest Wyndi Cryden was killed in action, and he was truely proud when Caldon achieved a type rating on Skywalker-class X-wing's. With Caldon turning twenty one and passing his Knight trials, Iroh semi-retired from field service and took a more active teaching role with the younger padawans and students, perhaps looking to find another apprentice, or merely wanting to make up for his inattentiveness that characterized his earlier years.
