I said this to my guys and I'll say it to anyone that comes along for the ride.
I won't even bother sugar coating it, some of us are gonna die. We're assaulting a world that's second to only Fondor in defenses. Casualties will be high.
Remember that when you write, remember that this is a battle against a well defended and equipped enemy. Not a one on one, decide the fate of a whole world, type deal. An army of 100,000 defenders is NOT to be sniffed at.
Those who want to hit the ground, you'll be starting aboard troop transports. There will be no sudden materialization at any of the objectives.
If you arrive late to the party, then I fully expect you to detail your landing with other forces. Doesn't need to be poetry.
For storyline purposes, you'll be dropped just outside of Theed. I fully suggest that you all move together at this point, I cant stress enough that we're gonna be running head first into a firestorm. See THIS for an idea.
Once we push into Theed itself you are free to head off to whatever objective you want to.
Most of all, and above all else, make it bloody epic. I want limbs blown off by artillery, entire squads mowed down by laser turret fire. I want this to paint a spectacular and harrowing picture of what an invasion should look like.
