Insights to the invisible [Syn]

What he said made sense. She was working off something tangible, and she just needed to go deeper.
Memories were to illusions, as flow walking was to psychometery.
Sometimes, she got so deep in a collective memory that she felt as if she could change it; it just mattered the method of which she delved into the history of things. She would project in a similar intricacy as she delved. The lightsaber dropped slowly to the ground in front of her, clanking slightly as metal met stone.
There was no wind that she projected, she wasn't affecting the physical state of the planet. Instead, she imagined all of her visits to Ilum. The time with Master Marclonus and with Dar'rak. Both times snow had pounded against her and prevented her advancement. Aggregations of projected ice crystals culminated and flittered about both herself and @[member="Syn"]. She imagined the chill of them as they touched her exposed flesh, and the dampness as they altered from ice to liquid against the heat of her cheeks. They were soft and white projections, woven in the fabrics of the current and twisting in the imaginary wind to settle in a gentle film on the stone surface of Vur Tepe. The visual was easy enough to accomplish from a memory, but to incorporate the other senses? She'd have to think a little harder. She'd done touch, and sight.

How did it smell? She imagined the heaviness of the air on Ilum in stark contrast to the current atmosphere. It was cold and sharp on her nose, and sent slight tingles up her cartilage if she breathed too sharply. It had no sound as it fell, only whatever soft breeze accompanied it. As for taste? Water. She imagined water.

Now she was doing it and he could feel the difference while she went deeper into her thoughts. The jedi master wasn't perfect and couldn't describe the look of snow but right now it felt like it was there. On his lips he could feel the coldness even more and even taste and water with a grin. "Better." Then it was almost like he was there... the crystals with their hum and even the faint feeling of the force. All making the illusion better until he for a moment believed he might actually be on the ice world in the middle of a volcano. Something she was going to be great at in time but he then let his senses find it. The small imperfections that would tell the illusion was. The taste of the water didn't reach to his throat and the chill dissipated from the heat in the background. Slowly the jedi master rose and brought the saber to his waist while he spoke. "Impressive, your progressing better then I would have expected."

Syn’s comment was not foreign. Kiskla was quite aware of her abilities, and even when she had been a Padawan she had been a quick learner. Adopting techniques wasn’t difficult, it was the perfection of them that she found trying. Investing the interest and time into the finesse was the trying part. The fact that @[member="Syn"] had encouraged her to delve deeper into the illusion was much appreciated, as it would have taken her forever to figure that out on her own time.
Also, White Current would agree with her.
Some techniques, such as Force Light, she could culminate quickly, but could never use to the full advantage due to the darkness that she wardened. White Current was also a technique that would add to her omnipotent mystique — most powers demanded a concentration she couldn’t give her entire focus to because she was constantly using Art of the Small to conceal her quukufs.

She simply nodded to the master’s words, and pocketed the compliment to sit with the ones Carn and her other former masters had given her. The flurries continued, and she reflected more on her visits to the chilled environment. She fuelled the illusion with a want to get out — due to the cold.

“Can I couple an illusion with a mind trick—to further the belief?”

He thought about it while moving close but not to close just enough there was a good personal gap between them. "You could in time, with practice. You'd be tired and wear yourself out before then but all things can be done with enough practice usually." He remained there for a moment before looking around and speaking. "Are you ready to continue on? We have six more temples and it is a long journey still."

Right. Fatigue. She forgot about that. With a heavy exhale, the flurries lightened until they eventually stopped and Kiskla returned to her usual position within The Force. She hoped she could find those knolls again the next time she decided to plunge into the current.
Her fingers closed around her lightsaber and reached behind her, just below her pack, and attached it back to it's hold.

"Yes." She nodded, and fell into step behind her fellow councillor to whichever way he lead.

Syn led the way towards the fields and well nothing. Mostly just high grass that blended into his skin's toned short fur. Finely made to not be completely obvious and he sat down getting a few of the food rations out. Remaining in the area though he crossed his legs and offered some while speaking. "It is a solid days journey to the next temple walking normally if we are going to be practicing it will take longer no doubt but the temple of the martial arts helps focus on the small things."

Scaling back down the mountainside of Vur Tepe had proven more difficult than going up. Maybe it's because she was tired. As usual, she hadn't noticed her exertion until she'd stopped being involved in the technique. Now, the sweat beading her hairline and the droopiness of her eyelids was more obvious to her.

Still, she followed behind her temporary teacher with silent understanding. When they reached the field, the grasses tickled against her palms as she walked. Since @[member="Syn"] had mentioned that she should push visions farther, she spent more time absorbed in her senses. The grass that grazed her skin, how it smelt, how she could hear it ever so faintly in the breeze. For good measure, she snapped the tip of a blade and touched it against her tongue. It was bland -- which meant there was probably a lot of fibre in it---but it was more than she could have projected before.

With slight relief, Kiskla's long legs folded when Syn took a seat. Across from him, she accepted the provisions hungrily. He spoke about how much further they had to go while she chewed, and she nodded. She had nobody waiting on her back at the temple, and she was always willing to dedicate time to knowledge.

"Okay," she nodded, pulling her sleeve into her palm to steady it as she wiped it against her brow and leaned back on the heel of her other palm thoughtfully. "Are we going to go through the night?"

It wasn't dark already? The jedi master inwardly was laughing just a little for it. Maybe his humor was getting a little better as he took a bite and thought about it. If they went through the night they might be able to make it but even jedi masters needed to rest and recharge sometimes. They would have to sleep sooner or later but he'd rather do it on the way between the temples then inside it was less likely they would be found for something else. Yeah he didn't always enjoy his duties but he would do them just nice to have a relaxing time is all. "We'll go as far as we can and then rest this isn't a race it is though about pushing limits." He had a grin though eating a little more. Oh this was going to be fun.

Some time later….

A faraway rustle made Kiskla’s ears perk. Things were stirring in the newly falling night. The Jedi masters were trekking through the terrain, beneath the canopy of sparkling blackness above.

The blonde and her fellow councillor had been walking for some hours, all the while dipping and weaving between the current. She was beginning to grow exhausted. Her head hurt, and her eyes were heavy. For the most part, her stomach was bare and hollow and her footing wasn’t as sure as it had been in the morning.

She suspected, however, that since the temperature had dropped so severely, that they were closer to the middle of the night than early morning. When one was casting illusions etcetera, one began to lose track of time.

At risk of sounding like a whining child, the girl broke the comfortable silence with an inquiry; “Which temple are we heading to now?"

The time and night meant little to him as he walked and he had to admit once it started to cool down he enjoyed it more. His pace quickening until he heard Kiskla speak and came to a stop, the current dropping a little to let him breathe a little easier before finally he spoke crouching a little low to the ground. "We are heading towards the temple of the arts and then there is martial skills." The jedi master had a smirk on his face for a moment before he sat down on the ground and crossed his legs. Releasing a breath while he fully dropped the current and prepared himself for remaining aware in the night for sleeping. "We should rest and then traveling across the continent will be most of the day."
