Archangel's efforts to create more devious droids continue. However, the Infiltration Droid 3 differs from the usual HRDs and other types of assassin droids the Typhos family business usually designs. The droid resembles a small spider. Rather than engage in direct combat, it has been designed to burrow under an organic's skin at the base of the neck. It can use drugs to make the host more compliant or put them through extreme pain. The droid is a terror weapon that can infiltrate an enemy facility or be unleashed in their midst. It has the ability to latch onto the back of the neck of an organic, inject them with drugs to drive them crazy, poison or sedate them. Enyo is fond having them inject people with a combat drug called Berserk.
Conversely, these capabilities also make it a good torturer, as it can hurt an organic, frighten them or inject them with serums that make them more compliant. Enyo dislikes torturers who enjoy their work too much. It's not helpful, it's inefficient. Usually you can just process the target, but there are some cases where the old way is needed. Its ability to attach itself to the neck of an organic can increase its fear factor and make it more difficult to detect. All the better to apply pain directly into the brain, nerves and spine. The droid is not designed to actually question a prisoner, so it is best paired with a droid or organic interrogator. Its capabilities can make it a good assassin, potentially leaving no trace behind, save for the twin marks on the back of the neck.
It can potentially paralyse an organic being by inserting small electro probes into the spinal column releasing electrical pulses, assuming it is able to attach itself to the organic before being detected and destroyed. It can use those same electrical pulses to puppet the body of a corpse. However, the 'robo-zombie' is a terror weapon rather than an effective combatant per se. It walks slowly and awkwardly and can only use basic melee weapons. A trained force of soldiers will have no problem putting a being like this down, but the point is to sow chaos and scare foes, not single-handedly turn the tide in a fight.
The Infiltration Droid can record and transmit audio and visual information. It is very small, light and quiet when moving. This allows it to go places larger droids cannot and hide from organics. Moreover, the droid is capable of walking on walls and the ceiling, which can potentially facilitate surprise attacks. However, it obviously also means the droid is easily destroyed when detected outside of a host. There simply is not enough space in its small body to give it lots of thick armour plating. Lightsabres cut through like a knife through butter. Should the droid be compromised, it has the means to self-destruct in order to keep itself from falling into enemy hands. Because Infiltration Droid 3 is a boring name, Enyo's clone posse calls it the Mindrazor Advanced Infiltration Droid - MAID. Enyo disapproves because of course she does.
