AN IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION STORY
INFERNO RISING

THE EMPIRE ONCE DIVIDED HAS UNITED!

After the division of Imperialism between the Dark Empire and the Empire of the Lost, the adherents of Imperialism have once more united a singular banner with the intention of Strength, Authority, and Order to a galaxy plagued by War, Chaos and Corruption.

As the nascent IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION rises, it faces new challenges and threats that seek to undermine its growth and its mission. Thus, the ever vigilant Supreme Commander of the Imperial Armed Forces, MARLON SULAREN has begun assembling a new elite special forces squad to serve as the hidden blade of the Imperial Armed Forces.

On the world of CHOLGANNA, various Imperial Special Forces operatives are gathered together to be evaluated by the Supreme Commander himself through an intense military exercise that will test their physical and mental capabilities along with their ability to operate as a team. There is no room for failure as these operatives are key to the future of the Confederation..

LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!

Within the vast training facilities of the Imperial Center for Military Operations on Cholganna, various Imperial Special Forces operatives are assembled to partake in a major evaluation under the supervision of Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen. In this evaluation their physical and mental limits will be tested along with their ability to communicate as a team and overcome obstacles as a unit. Soon, they will form the core of the Supreme Commander’s PROJECT: INFERNO, which will safeguard the future of the Confederation against those who dare to stand against it.

Current Directives :

  • Gather outside the simulation chamber and await further instructions
  • Get acquainted with the other Special Forces Operatives

Amidst the imposing confines of the Imperial Center for Military Operations, Devang stood poised for a critical evaluation, clad in a crisp uniform fir for the simulation training he will be undergoing, exuding a sense of focus and determination. Assembled under the watchful eye of Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen he awaited the commencement of a rigorous assessment that would push his limits to the edge. Devang's gaze swept across the room, taking in the sight of his fellow operatives, each radiating a distinct air of expertise and readiness. The weight of the impending evaluation hung palpably in the air, a test not only of physical prowess but also of mental acuity and teamwork. This evaluation was a precursor to their involvement in PROJECT: INFERNO, a vital initiative that would define the future security of the Confederation. Devang exchanged nods of acknowledgment with his comrades, recognizing the shared sense of purpose that bound them together. The directives were clear: "Await further instructions and forge connections with his fellow operatives" laying the groundwork for the seamless cohesion and trust that would be vital in the trials ahead. As the evaluation loomed on the horizon, he steeled himself for the tests that awaited, ready to demonstrate his abilities.

PROJECT: INFERNO,
STARDATE: 052225.

Boots clacked along the stainless, polished surface of a military institute which survived the tumultuous era of the Empire of the Lost. Cholganna still persisted in it's state of freedom-- it's decay-- as fourteen other worlds, encompassing five star sectors, were taken swiftly by the banded remnants of past orders and administrations into The Imperial Confederation. Velcarin suspected, given the formation of PROJECT: INFERNO and the proximity of this planet to the other worlds taken in the new Imperial Occupation, that it would be the next to fall.

Velcarin was not an applicant or designated member of this new so-called 'Inferno Squad'. As a member of The Inquisitorious she had responsibilities elsewhere and work to do that others wish that they would not. But with the Confederation still in it's infancy, with it's work-force sparse and acts of consolidation, recruitment or expansion still in their early stages, she was here to provide security and oversight on behalf of one of the more darker organisations in the new faction. At least that was the official reasoning for her presence here.

She suspected, however, that there were some politics in play. While The Grand Inquisitor had yet to be replaced following the tragic death of Meredith Rayner, there were others among the upper echelons of the new Imperial state who may have distrust for the likes of Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen and the rumours that the alleged HEIR TO THE EMPIRE had roots planted all across the galaxy that were yet to be shared with his new allies, associates and adversaries found in the three Imperial states of the Confederation.

Her presence among the polished, pristine halls of this military installation-- built on Cholganna among the forests which covered most of the world,-- was a reminder that while the expats of Dark-Imperial bloc had been accepted into the new Imperial state there was still an element of mistrust given the differences in politics and constitution between those of the Empire Reborn to the likes of the Imperial Sector Authority and perhaps even the Risen Empire. While Chologanna was not yet taken in the new Imperial Occupation it's close proximity to Imperial space meant that even here, away from the regimented systems of the Confederation, it's hand could still be felt on the shoulder of even it's most powerful and strongest leaders as Sularen put into motion the creation of a new unit on this day of days.

Dark-Imperial... ISA... Risen-Imperial. Expats of the so-called 'Lost' and their fallen Empire from Lianna. NEOCONS-- relics-- that was left behind from the old days of the First Order and New Imperial Order. Velcarin held no real political opinions or perspectives on philosophy when it came to the Imperial states of the Confederation and it's many members whom some of which had served in many administrations that had risen and fallen over the past half-a-century.

Velcarin was not afforded the luxury of such things. A former Jedi turned Inquisitor-- taken from Nespis VIII during the fall of the Empire of the Lost as an unwitting victim of the Trigonus Report-- Velcarin was only designated to serve. Not to think critically of her superiors or new comrades. She quietly understood why she was now patrolling the hallways of this facility but in the matter of whether she cared about it or not was something else which felt elusive and beyond her means of apathy. . .

On a Repulsorlift Cart

The shuttle doors hissed open and a towering silhouette ducked low beneath the frame. Dieter's heavy boots landed on the metal floor with a solid thump, echoing in the silence as he emerged from the dim lights of the shuttle's interior. The rear ramp lowered with a soft whine, and without urgency, he strolled toward the back to collect his things.

His powered armor, bulky, white with blue markings, and scuffed from recent action, lay neatly atop a reinforced transport cart. The scorches and gouges along its shoulder plating told stories of high-velocity slugs and near-lethal engagements. Flanking the armor were two large crates, their durasteel lids marked with security seals and personal insignia. One held his blasters; the other held his blade.

With practiced ease, Dieter nudged the cart forward, the repulsors taking on most of the weight as he pushed it through the sliding doors into the central holding area. The room was already buzzing with movement and quiet conversation, other applicants milling about, sizing each other up, some casual, others tense.

Even hunched slightly, Dieter still stood a full head taller than most of the crowd. His broad Atoan frame, 6'10" of scarred muscle and iron calm, drew a few glances, but none met his eyes for long. He maneuvered the cart into a corner near a maintenance console, where it would stay visible but undisturbed, then stepped into the center of the room.

As he reached into one of his belt pouches, fingers rummaging for something familiar, his shoulder clipped another applicant. The jolt was minor, but enough to make him pause and glance down.

"Oh sorry, friend," Dieter said, his voice deep and gravelly, tinged with the heavy cadence of a rough Atoan accent. He looked down at Devang Talstan Devang Talstan with a slight smile creasing the corners of his weathered face. "I should be watching where going, not digging in belt like idiot. But—hah—I was trying to get this."

He pulled a half-burnt ciggara from the pouch, the paper torn slightly but still serviceable, and wedged it between his lips. The smell of it: spiced, earthy, carried faint memories of far colder places. He didn't light it yet, but placed it in the corner of his mouth.

With a grunt, he extended his hand, calloused, and firm as a bulkhead door. "My name is Dieter," he said. "But most friends, they call me Breaker. Or Tiny." He chuckled, the sound low and dry. "You choose your pick, da?"

Devang Talstan looked up at the towering figure before him careful not to blind himself by staring at the fluorescent lighting standard in most Imperial facilities. Straining to meeting his gaze he sensed rugged experience and unspoken tales etched in the lines of his face.

"No harm done, dont worry about it friend" Returning the firm handshake with a grip of not so equal strength, Devang introduced himself, "Devang Talstan, pleased to meet you Dieter" The corners of his lips lifted in a friendly smile, As the scent of the spiced ciggara wafted through the air he says "breaker seems fitting, almost broke my hand there" he laughs, Devang gestured toward the bustling room, "Quite the gathering here today, seems we're in for an interesting evaluation. Have you been through something like this before?" His tone was casual yet there was an underlining sense of excitement in his voice wondering what exactly might unfold today.

Saltare stood amidst this installation, drinking in the high walls and pristine Imperial edges. The sharp, brutal edges, indicative of the Imperial design, stood out, protruding sharply from this world, daring anyone to try to lessen its stature.

Cholganna.

Saltare had never been here. He'd never even heard of it. But Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen had issued a directive calling for people to come, so he had come. Beth and Logan had heard whispers and passed him information regarding a PROJECT:INFERNO, which Saltare knew was undoubtedly involved with why he was here. There wasn't much information regarding it yet, but Saltare was unsure of the direction in which the Commander would take this new project.

It didn't sit well with him. If Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen attempted to rebuild Inferno from these newcomers, Saltare was unsure if he would accept the offer if given the choice. He would not abandon his comrades from the original Inferno Squad for another unit. He didn't know if that was why he was here or even what PROJECT:INFERNO really was, but he was skeptical, to say the least.

Saltare continued to walk the corridors until he reached the simulation chambers and saw several other members milling around and talking. Saltare appeared busy as he entered the chambers and picked an area to check his gear, reviewing his armor and weapons and doing last-minute checks to ensure everything was green.

As he did this, he glanced over these unknown soldiers, watching how they moved, spoke, and looked. Saltare knew none of them and bided his time as he entered the gathering, watching and observing for now; he would get acquainted when the need arose.
