Night had fallen hours before, the Halls of the Jedi were empty, silence reigned. It seemed the entire Temple was asleep save for the occupant of one room, a tiny girl crawling around in what seemed to be a pacing-manner. Every so often a whimper would break the stagnant air, she could not sleep, she longed for company. Even when in the wild, the child who had been dubbed Daux had the company of others, the feline-pack she had been part of. Now she wanted nothing more than to find the one she'd connected to in these alien surroundings, where the birds could not be heard, nor the breeze, or the rustle of leaves overhead. Where everything was enclosed, and sunshine could not touch her.
The child crawled to the door in a last ditch attempt at finding a way out. To begin with she scratched at it, whimpering further when it did not work, when it failed to open. "Jaa" she cried, almost akin to a mew, "Fuuurrryy." Nuzzling her face into the door she began to purr, rubbing up against the door which stood in her way.
Miraculously the door eventually opened in response to her movements, and the child was able to crawl out of the dormitory to seek Jaxton or Thurion, whichever she stumbled across first. The hall was eerie, and had Daux jumping at every shadow that so much as moved, cast by the trees outside of the windows. Still on Tython, she was used to waking up and heading straight outside, provided Thurion hadn't decided to wait for her. Then the pair would spend time curled up until they had to leave the dormitory.
Finally she made it to one of the rooms, remembering the way by retracing steps she had taken several times before. Purring noisily she began to rub up against the door, which was far more responsive than her own, which had been put on a more secure setting for her own safety. Inside she padded, spotting Thurion lay asleep. The child crawled over, hearing the whoosh of the door closing behind her. When she neared the bed she lowered her chin down, wiggled her bottom... And leapt up onto the bed, directly ontop of Thurion's chest. She began to pad around, before curling up there, although no doubt she had awoken her best friend. "Fuurrry" she murmured, nuzzling into his chest.
