Though the Grand Army of the Lost proved to be a massive success for the Empire of the Lost making them be on par with the rest of the major factions, there is still a desire to have...... relatable faces to join the Empire. If one doesn't have the physical aptitude to join the Stormtrooper Corps or have the brains to succeed in the Imperial Navy, one can always join the Imperial Volunteer Army. It's made out of young, poor, and eager recruits serving the Empire with zeal. Command sees the IVA as walking, talking meat shields and treat them as such by providing them with the worst equipment and sending them on suicide charges. Yet somehow, the IPA survive with a smile on their faces and covered in the enemy's blood. The life expectancy of an IVA is around 15 minutes, those who survive longer are considered hardened veterans.
The IVA can serve as the vanguard or the reserve for an Imperial Army but are always treated as expendable. They fight the Empire's enemies with minimal training and suffer high casualty rates. They also patrol farmworlds and backwater planets serving as riot police. Recruitment in the IVA is very easy with the bare minimum being able to walk and read. Still, the IVA fills a necessity and there were many battles where the IVA is pivotal to the Empire's victory.

- Description: A unit of standard infantry units, IVA is comprised of non-clone volunteers and fight as reserves for the Empire of the Lost. The IVA is considered to be disposable force that is sent as a vanguard to soften up the enemy before main army comes in and finishes the job or serve as a reserve force to be called upon if the battle is going in the Empire's favor. Comprised of young volunteers who are eager to prove their worth, the Imperial Volunteer Army are hastily trained compared to the elite Stormtroopers and their arsenal is comprised of cheap materials. The IVA are looked down upon by commanders as expendable pawns that can easily be replaced after being mowed down to the last soldier. Yet despite this, the IVA possesses an indomitable will that sometimes causes them to overperform in situations where the possibility of survival is minimal.

Strengths:
- I'm not giving up until I'm dead!: Though lacking the discipline of Cione Troopers and the prestige and elite training of Stormtroopers, the IVA more than makes up for it with their willpower. They won't give up and won't retreat (lest they be shot for desertion) until their enemy is dead or they're dead.
- Let the bodies hit the floor!: The IVA are numerous, and commanders will send wave after wave to drown the enemy in
corpsesbodies so they can allow the other troopers to sweep in finish the battle with minimal casualties.
- You'll die in 15 minutes!: Mass charges means that many of the young soldiers will die in their first battle. It's not common to hear reports of entire regiments getting wiped out because their general orders them to charge into a hail of Blaster fire so they can be used as a distraction.
- CHEEP!: The Empire treat the IVA like B1 battledroids and show it by providing the branch with cheaply made weapons and armor. While serviceable, it pales comparison to the equipment that the Stormtroopers and the Clones get. Also, the IVA are often trained as quickly as possible to get a lot of bodies on the battlefield, as a result there is a lot of mistakes committed during combat which leads to the trooper dying a gruesome death.
