• Low maneuverability: The Ilikith actually has a fairly reasonably turn radius thanks to its multiple etheric rudders, but its pitch control is less than ideal due to its small control surfaces.
• Thin-skinned: The Ilikith uses thin and simple alusteel plating, making it relatively lightweight and easy to repair, but also more susceptible to damage.

DESCRIPTION
The Ilikith is a small patrol ship in the lines of the classic IPV-1 or Mynock-class Assault Boat. Like its predecessors, it is a relatively small and fast vessel that is fairly well-armed for its size, making it a good counter against the frequently heavily modified tramp freighters used by pirates, smugglers, and other criminal elements that threaten most small systems. A Ilikith can very easily dispatch several of pirate raiders or quickly bring down a suspected smuggling tramp freighter to heel. While effective against these lighter foes, the Ilikith is not designed to act as a true frontline warship against major galactic powers, and while reasonably effective in a picket or fast attack role, it will struggle against most warships, at least by itself. Additionally, Ilikiths do not have long-term supplies or facilities for extended missions, which means they only work well for short deployments. Ilikiths can work in packs or in conjunction with larger warships to make up for their shortcomings, but it's not typically what they are meant for. Most Ilikiths serve as simple singular patrol craft in unimportant Mid and Outer Rim worlds, though some do work in groups to protect larger planetary systems or important spaceborne installations.
