Coruscant, Corusca Sector, Core Worlds
Diving out of the clouds came a lone gunship. From inside the cockpit Minerva whose hands on the controls viewed the ecumenopolis before her own eyes. The young warrior didn't say a word but her expression was filled with both amazement and a small dose of anxiety. She had been to city wide worlds before but never Coruscant…until now. Hearing the stories and seeing the holovids is one thing but actually coming here was something else entirely.

Navigating through the seemingly never ending air traffic lines amongst the titanic skyscrapers and towers Minerva thought.

Well father, I have come at last. Here the ancient Taungs and battalions of Zhell shed one another's blood. To think their war would eventually pave the way for our culture to be forged on Mandalore.

The very reminder of it stirred Minerva's soul as she evaded incoming mid freighter from the side. Modern day Coruscant was interesting and frustrating to her already but its bloodsoaked past was what humbled her. Sighing, she flew on a course between a pair of towering apartments and passed them in moments later.

Quickly a trio of police gunships appear on radar, surrounding her ship in swift succession from left, right, and front.

"Attention unknown ships, identify yourself and state your intent." A male voice spoke through the comms system. Minerva shrugged her shoulders. She was kinda expecting this reaction. A heavily armed gunship like the one she owned would draw attention in place like Coruscant.

Soon the Mandalorian transmitted her Enclave recognition code that the Alliance authorities should recognize while she replied.

"This is Minerva Fhirdiad, warrior of the Mandalorian Enclave. I have come to volunteer my skills to your Defense Force."

At first there was a pause on the other line as the ships continued to fly above the lower buildings and air traffic beneath them. Then finally the officer called back.

"Your recognition code has been acknowledged…Mandalorian. We've been authorized to escort you to the nearest military base. The Defense force will take it from there."

"Copy that and thank you."

With the comms off Minerva followed the leading police craft for the next several minutes. Finally at the sight of the mentioned base filled with large docking bays she was directed to a small one before the police gunships flew off. Minerva made her descend and landed the ship in the bay soon after with a thud.

Now onto the next part. She thought to herself. Putting on the helmet she exited the cockpit. It wasn't long before Minerva pressed a button on the wall and the ramp activated with hissing steam. With that the proud Mandalorian proudly walked down the ramp.

Ah Coruscant, the Capital of the Galactic Alliance, were Knight and Padawan can get drunk without any repercussions. Pradd doesn't really say it, but he loves this planet. So.. Civilized. Well, the most boring part of being in Coruscant isn't the training, but the 'missions' the Council can give you.

This time, it was to 'protect a defence force base and learn the basics of the Galactic Alliance Defence Forces system.' For Pradd, it was bullshit, just a way to get him occupied while they try and find him a master to continue his training. Which is kind when you look at it quickly, but boring.

"Like what, a Mandalorian would come with a damn gunship capable of erasing Kashyyk from the- Is that a mandalorian?" You bet it's a mandalorian, and it landed behind the docking bay he was 'protecting and learning the GADF structure'.

Stepping off the ramp at last Minerva paused, feeling the metal floor beneath her feet. In a sense it felt not much different from the countless platforms she had stood and walked on since she was able to stand. Yet it was the fact that the floor is part of Coruscant is what made her stop. Unlike Mandalore it wasn't a homecoming but rather a reminder.

Many times my ancestors waged war against those who claimed this world as their capital. Of course a few times they fought alongside them as well. As a daughter of Mandalore I must remember both of those facts and not take them for granted.

Minerva looked down, seeing her helmet's reflection partially.

She couldn't help but chuckle and think. They better fight as well as they keep their floors shining like this.

The docking was filled with engineers and droids hard at work with their craft. Sparks flew and the sound of multiple drills echoing all around. A number of Alliance personnel did play her notice, some whispering among themselves. Likely they didn't expect a Mandalorian to show up here. Soon a Gran in engineer's uniform headed over to her. Glancing up down and up at Minerva with all three eyes he said with a salute.

"…Hello there I'm Technician Zhaz Yaawz…do you require any assistance with your ship?"

Nodding her gratitude, the Mandalorian nodded and offered her right hand to shake.

"Well met Technician Yaawz. My name is Minerva Fhirdiad and yes your assistance would be most appreciated. If you get my ship fresh fuel that would be great but first thing first."

Clicking a button in her right gauntlet the gunship's systems powered down and she explained. "Had to let you in the systems so there won't be any problems and later we can run some diagnostics if both of us have of course."

Agreeing with the idea, Zhaz replied. "Of course. I'll check with my superiors and we can work something out."

Subsequently gestured for his crew to come over so they can start their work.

Turning from them Minerva then finally noticed a green-eyed human with long brown hair. Despite his height the young man's expression and demeanor suggested that he was likely a teenager. Noting the clothing she could further guess that he wasn't with the military exactly.

Most likely a Jedi. Should've known they would be here as well given that the Alliance forces and their order cooperate so much. Then again I'm not a stranger to them but never interacted with them outside fighting as allies at Ilum and talked with some of them briefly on two separate occasions.

She marched over to Pradd before she stopped a good distance from him. Smirking beneath the helm.

"Didn't expect to see a Mandalorian today did you? Heh."

He saw the Mandalorian approach, which isn't particularly surprising as he's probably the only Jedi in here. Pradd saw the mando stop and ask him "Didn't expect to see a Mandalorian today did you? Heh."

Pradd then answered, "Well no, a Mandalorian in a Galactic Alliance Defence Forces base isn't common, as you can see by the reactions. But, it's a pleasure to finally encounter one of the 'Legendary warriors'." He then got up, approached the said warrior and lifted up his hand to shake the other one's hand. "You're like the archives say, in a body armor covering you and you can't be separated from your helmet. Again, it's a pleasure to see you guys on this base."

Accepting the Jedi's hand Minerva shook it firmly before they both let go. One of the many things her late father taught was to return such gestures if it is done in good faith. If not well…there are consequences. Fortunately it seemed this Jedi was sincere and that was enough for Minerva. At Pradd's last comment snort escaped her followed by a hidden grin.

"Sorry, allow me to explain. Most Mandalorians like myself take off our helmets whenever we want to. Only a few keep their faces hidden from all others. Other that one detail you’re correct this armor is part of my heritage."

This Jedi must be still in training, she quietly concluded. To emphasize her point Minerva with both hands took the helmet, revealing her face with brown eyes, black hair and slight tannish skin. Then she swifty put it back on and said.

"Minerva Fhirdiad but you can just call me Minerva. So who are you Jedi?"

"Oh, Sorry for this.. Stereotype. I should have known. I'm Padawan Pradd."

Pradd then thought about if he should ask but, stupid as he is, Pradd didn't think enough and said; "I have a question, why is a Mandalorian on a Galactic Alliance Defence Forces base?"

He must be really new at this. Minerva thought to herself. His disposition pretty much declared a rookie from the Mandalorian's point of view. Shrugging her shoulders st the question she answered.

"I have come to fight alongside the Alliance defense force against our common enemies, the Maw and the Empire."

The very thought of the Sith and Imperials caused Minerva to squeeze her left hand into a furious fist. She was out for their blood. Of course Minerva was well aware that both groups were not to be taken lightly but currently the Alliance and the Jedi were fighting both directly and that is enough for her.

Looking around them she could see that the Alliance personnel were rather occupied with their work on the ships at the docking bay rather than dealing with the armored newcomer. Frustration built up for a few moments until she thought.

To be fair I did just come unannounced and I'm not someone of high rank according to their culture.

Looking back to the padawan she remarked.

"Of course I'll have to make arrangements with the military first. Understandable but truth be told I'm no fan of paperwork."
