Hunting Down Pariahs

Emperor Vedarric had sent for Kamon several hours ago. The two had been locked in a very serious discussion about matters important to Imperial safety and security. As it seemed, things were afoot that warranted intervention beyond what the Inquisition would normally field. That meant that there was work for the Knights to do. This was good because he was eager to get some of the cadets into some field work, and subsequently get them tested to see if they were capable of being full knights.

That being the case, he called a meeting of all Knights and Cadets. The meeting hall wouldn't be as full as he would like it to be, but that would change with time. As he saw it, his time as Archmaster was somewhat limited, and he was fine with that. He didn't want to lead forever. The life of serving the galaxy had taken its toll upon him and he was tired. He very much wanted to retire.

As he waited for everyone to show up, he inspected a map of Crina. He wasn't completely familiar with the world yet, and he had a lot of studying ahead of him. He might as well make use of this time as well.

Garen Ruca

Fighting for his People
Service as an Imperial Cadet was not exactly what Garen was expecting, but it was not surprising in a negative way at all. In fact, it was actually a bit refreshing.

For his whole life Garen was imbued with the importance of personal freedom and told to fight whatever forces were trying to impede on his life by his parents, who lived in a very unrestricted way that saw them do as they pleased. He loved his broken father and tried to honor the memory of his deceased mother, living how he chose to do so, the young man couldn't help but feel that maybe they lived a bit too freely and failed to live up to the expectations that were placed on them by the survivors of their people. They never received the disciplined training needed to fully harness their capabilities with the force, and because of that were not able to handle the onslaught of the Sith along with the rest of the Republic and its allies.

Garen was now a part of a well-trained and tightly bound military machine, and while he did sometimes feel uncomfortably restrained he was getting the training that his dear parents could not provide along with a new family of comrades to replace his shattered and scattered one. He would still do what had to be done for his people in the end though, and for now luckily he had no reason to fight against his current masters. He could continue to earn the respect of his peers while learning what it meant to work as a team instead of a single individual all the time.

These thoughts went through the young cadet's mind as he neared the entrance of the meeting room and stepped inside, presented with the sight of [member="Kamon Vondiranach"]. Garen stiffened his body into a salute, and waited for a proper response as he was trained to do before taking a standing position near one of the walls.

Serco responded to the summons much like he did every other. Stepping into the room Serco gave the ArchMaster a slight bow of his head.

"Master Vondiranach." "Leaving again already, just got back from that dusty old bunker, think a guy could at least get enough time to hit the refresher before having to leave again."

Turning slightly Serco noticed Garen standing there and smiled.

"Hey how is it goin' Ruca?"

Crimson eyes gleamed and sparkled with mirth as the new multitudes of Stormtroopers and Imperial Knights paraded by in pairs or by their lonesome. The full scale might of this glorious imperial war machine had finally began churning out hundreds upon hundreds of capable and worthy soldiers. Being the rank that he was, Davin still took the time out of his usual administrative and operational duties to get a little more...tactical. It wasn't like a good leader to never be seen by his men, so Admiral Davin was humbled when both the Imperial Archmaster and the Emperor summoned he and several other Knights to meet with them today.

The blue-fleshed, black armored form moved swiftly past the new soldiers and Force users alike. Not surprisingly, the Chiss stood out like a sore thumb in this crowd. Between the red and white armor, his own black set was like a mark on a piece of paper. He didn't even need to mention his indigo skin or the gleaming red eyes that hid both cunning and guile.

After a moment of disorientation, the Admiral finally found the meeting room and silently entered. A pair of knights had already made their arrival and the Archmaster stood inspecting something at a table. The snap of his black cape was the only sound that came from his side of the room and Davin expected for that noise alone to mark his arrival. No need for unnecessary speech.

"Davin. Approach."

Unlike most of those who served in the Empire, Kamon had no disdain for aliens. He'd grown up amongst them, had friends who weren't human. Why should he care about aliens being different from humans? No, he chose not to care. This non-dislike for aliens did not in any way impact his performance as leader of the Knights. He simply saw it as service towards the greater good. Kamon desired peace in the galaxy, and though other governments desired the same, they lacked the willingness to do what was necessary to bring about peace.

He waited for the Chiss to approach, and then pointed towards an area of the map.

"This is our target. I want you to lead this operation while I hang back in reserve. A rogue Sith has set up shop in the Tatianna Mountains and some of the local practitioners have started following him. We're to disrupt them, peacefully at first, but if they resist then force is authorized. Go ahead and take command."

Serco stood idly watching the Master and Knight interact listening to the objective. Serco smirked at the peaceful disrupt them angle but said nothing sure there was no way the polite knock and hey could you not approach would work about as well as asking a Sith to pick flowers in a field.

The black knight made his approach as instructed. He took smooth, easy strides that told of his grace and movements as a master swordsman. Makashi wasn't a form that was practiced for the faint of heart and even the most agile of users had trouble in working with it. Luckily, Davin was one of the few that was remotely gifted in its arts and used it liberally.

"Hm." The knight rubbed his chin in speculation of the map that the Archmaster had splayed across the table. "What's our intel? How many troops do they have? Are they expecting us?"

Intelligence was always needed prior to combat. It ultimately saved lives and made things easier for everyone.

"They are expecting us. It's believed they want us to come for them, which means it's a trap. Still, it must be done."

He pulled the terrain back a bit so that they could get a better view of the mountains, and so Davin could really study it. This was not going to be an easy mission. People were going to die on both sides, but Kamon was certain that most of those that died would be on the side of the rebels. The Imperials were much better equipped for this. Especially the Knights.

"Numbers are estimated to be on the high side. This is a large amount of rebels that still want to fight. They're holed up within mountain cave networks and bunkers. Every single one is probably littered with traps, so I suggest taking some droids to do sweeps. We don't know the precise numbers of enemies, or how many practitioners are amongst them, but there will more than likely be a brutal battle involved."

Serco snorted.

"Oh how I do love another suicide mission." "Nothing like the perpetual fear of being obliterated to let you know you are expendable." "So when do we leave?"

Garen Ruca

Fighting for his People
(Sorry, been incredibly busy and this completely slipped my mind v_v)

Garen simply sat back and listened, wondering what kind of fight it would actually be with two of them being merely cadets. He was at least somewhat trained thanks to his parents, but an operation like this wasn't exactly what he was used to and could be quite a difficult situation depending on whatever other forces would be going with them all. He hadn't even finished with his lightsaber yet, but the young man was comfortable enough with his vibroblade and blaster rifle skills to be somewhat useful and was determined not to look like a weak fool in front of his new comrades. Once they were finished speaking Garen took a few more moments to stare at the images presented to them before nodding at [member="Serco Savar"] and his comment.

"I guess this little fight will determine just how expendable we really are. I'm ready to prove myself whenever you guys are."
