Hunt for the Marked Marquis

Time: Unknown
Location: Unknown
This is a missive for anyone willing to undertake a dangerous and quit possibly suicidal mission. Our organization has been given a task most would want to avoid, a task which would only appeal to the most daring and most cunning or simply the most deranged people among this community. A bounty has been placed by an unknown contractor on the head of a member of the galaxy's high society. The price is agreed to be 500.000 credits. The information on the target of this mission, should you choose to accept it, can be found within the secret files you will receive when confirming your acceptance.
Target: Credius Arcosius Nargath
Species: Human?
Age: 54 years of age
Known locations: Eriadu shipyards, Nargath Palace complex, Xa Fel government buildings, Osseriton Imperial Palace

Special information:
-Known to be an expert huntsman
-Tactical mind
-Heavy security meassures in place
The Missive was sent across the entire board, reaching any and all mercenary folk, bounty hunters and cutthroats alike. Amused, the man who had passed down the information to the organization looked at the screen filled with the information on his desk. Standing up from his chair, making a waving motion at the screen to make it vanish, the man walked over to the large windows granting him a view over the night's sky of the place he was currently residing. "Let's see if any of those willing to take this missive are interesting enough for me to play with," With a soft chuckle escaping his lips, the man grabbed a cypher from his coat and pressed a button on top of it. "Shall we start this game, my dear apprentice?"

Reading his instructions he started laughing, Renn was suppose to kill [member="Credius Nargath"]. "God damn, Credius, this time your job won't stop me from shutting up." This would be a fun job and difficult.

"Eranacia start up the hyperdrive I have tracking to do." Renn started at his computer, looking through recordings. 500,000 credits, honestly isn't too much for Renn, he just wanted the thrill of the hunt. Looking at some graphs he thought he had a location on him. Looking out the window they entered hyperspace. He reclined in his seat as he dropped out of hyperspace. Maybe here, Credius wasn't dumb so this would be a challenge, his ship slowly pushed closer to the planet.

Accompanied By: Oberon and Tigris

"What exactly do you mean?" he'd ask, staring blankly at Oberon as the giant cat would stretch and stare disapprovingly at the steak being held out towards it by its master. Tigris, Oberon's younger brother, would already be gratefully perched on top of the ship's primary console chewing on its own steak. "Listen, Xa Fel is disgusting and the atmosphere really isn't going to help you. You want to keep your mane white too don't you?" Oberon would just lift its head, staring down its nose at Azulas who would just sigh and hang his head "Fine. Fine." he'd surrender, throwing the steak to the side "You be grumpy but I'm not bringing you along. I'll be fine with the rifle, won't even see me coming."

With that the assassin would step from his freighter, lugging the heavy rifle over his shoulder. Xa Fel, a wonderful planet, run into the ground by corporate greed. Weather forecast? Smog with a chance of acid rain, wonderful. The plan was simple, he had rented a room in one of the buildings down the street from the government building's main entrance. He'd set up there, keep an eye out for the target, and take him out with the rifle while recording the whole thing through the rifle's scope and optical implants, later send the recording to his contractor for verification. The jog was a short one from his landing pad to the building. From here he would ascend a few flights of stairs, pay off any staff he saw to make sure they didn't mention the albino Zabrak with the giant karking gun, and set up shop in the window overlooking the government buildings.

He wouldn't put the gun up yet, instead deciding to rest against the wall with a pair of binoculars to see what he could see. Hopefully his target would show up sooner or later.

The dark, cloaked figure strode through the Palace Hall. Not an inch of skin could be seen of the woman that wore the metal and leather armor.

I will devour him until he is a withered husk, and scatter his ashes on an unnamed world where he will never find rest.

Raven ignored the rantings of the beast that haunted her steps. Today was a special day, and one that would have it chattering away about death and slaughter until the job was done. It had a special place for Credius in its black soul -- one of endless suffering and torment.

How much longer before the others arrive. Before the decrepit thing shows its face?

Considering the contract had been broadcast to who knew how many hunters, and had no particular place in mind for the slaughter, how long would vary considerably. Raven chose to begin at the most lavish of places first -- the palace. That she wore an outfit more befitting a Sith than a humble citizen of the world hardly mattered. She'd taken to hostile action toward anyone, and the law had no right to interfere. Now if they wanted a fight all they had to do was accost her; as well they knew, and that whoever was the stooge to set her off would not be returning home alive. Fortunately, the world being so far from any particular government, no one sought to make a fuss of anything. So much the better, as she had a far more lucrative quarry to hunt.

Don't lie. You'd enjoy slaughtering them as much as I. All you need is an excuse.

Her wrist lifted to display a holo, which the armored figure regarded for a moment. If she couldn't find signs the noble had taken business on this world, she might proceed to Xa Fel to the East.

The game had started, he could feel it, the smell in the air, the thrill of the hunt. As a true eriaduan, he had grown up with the hunt and had learned to respect both the position of the predator as well as that of the prey. However, he had always thought to himself that many of the galaxy's so-called finest hunters and assassins did not truly understand just how easily a predator and a prey could switch places.

Taking a step forward, the man looked over the cityscape from the large window of one of the Corporate Protectorate's government meetinghalls. A glass of wine in his hand, he calmly raised it to his lips when the sound of some people squirming and gurgling distracted him. Looking down, he could see a man with a foaming mouth grab a hold of his left boot, frantically trying to say something before suddenly being pushed aside by the man looking down. "Pitiful, you politicians try to squirm your way through life, always acting as leeches on both the people and those who wield true power," Taking a sip from his wine, the man dressed in expensive romex and silk garments and wearing the Nargath family crest prominently on his vest, looked down towards the street, noticing the many peddlers and beggars gatheredat the entrance. "A nice place to stage a surprise attack, an amateur would choose such a place, but an experienced hunter would not be cought in such a crowd. They would look for distance, a clean shot or a clean place to end a prey's existence."

With a smile on his face, the marquis placed the glass of wine on the window's ledge, stepping over a no longer breathing man, bloated with fat and with foam on his mouth. Passing by several other government officials who had apparently died sufficating like swine drowned in a lake. It was time fo him to go outside and start discerning which of the hunters were amateurs and which of them were the experienced lot. "When we go outside, walk in a double file around me, a space of one man in between each of you," The soldiers simply nodded and agreed upon this tactic, escorting the Marquis towards the Government building's entrance, pushing through the large amount of peddlers and beggars which were holding them up at the bridge that crossed the river and granted access to the inner capital of Xa Fel. "Come my little mice and play with the big bad cat."

"Why helloooo." Azulas would hum, zooming in on the entrance as the soldiers would begin to pour out, surrounding his target. It was a shame he had to kill the man from such a distance, he usually took trophies. The only trophy he would take would be the video footage... it would have to do. Azulas would slide down the wall, onto his knee as he would take the rifle, checking it over for any sort of flaw or problem that might change the bullet's directory. He'd lick the tip of his thumb, putting it out the window for a second to check for wind, then proceed to slowly, very slowly, rest the very end of the rifle on the windowsill. The scope would drift as he'd look over the crowd. Odds are this man would not be easy to kill and he knew at least one of these would see him, he had to be prepared.

The cross hairs would drift to his soldiers, forming a protective barrier around the target. Smart, but it meant he knew he was being hunted. Azulas would look at the statistics showing up in the scope, specifically distance and gravity. Combine this with what little wind he found and he'd slowly be calculating his shot. The scope would slowly track the man, making his way through the crowd, and over the bridge. As the men entered the center of the bridge, he'd line up the best shot he could, and, with one long breath, he would fire.

Before he could even see if the bullet hit its mark he'd duck away from the window, rushing to the door and pulling out one of the trip mines. He'd exit the room, pulling the door almost closed before sticking the mine to the inside. Who ever opens this door next is in for a nasty surprise. He could hear the rifle steadily beginning to recharge the whole time. After his little trap is set he would head up two flights of stairs, find a room on the opposite side of the building from where he fired from, kick in the door, procure his binoculars, and head to the window to see his handiwork.

Renn sat there, he had to jump to another planet but it was a short dilemma. Sitting in a window out of the light, his helmet was off. "This time you won't see me." Watching the Marquis's path he steadied his EE-3 at him, but decided to lower it. Walking down the stairs he contimplated with himself.

His thoughts were racing what would he do, The Marquis isn't just another target, if I am going to kill him I will be using a knife. These thoughts showed that he actually respected him, walking down the stairs he was now in an alley by the street. Moving quickly he moved under the bridge out of sight of them, scaling the wall to the left he hoped up, he thought he was out of sight. Looking at the building he went to the side and jumped from a tree near the building onto the wall.

"Eranacia freeze all cameras I'm in as a move across."

"Done."

A grin crossed his face as he moved to the side of the building opening a window. Shutting it behind him he walked around watching the Marquis cross the bridge he just quietly laughed. Renn was quick and moved down the stairs pulling sentries and guards into vents and locked rooms as he walked. He was very quick and made it to the vent above the entrance soon after, sitting there he decided to scroll through cameras.

The Arrow-class Interceptor swept down over Xa Fel after a relatively quick jump. The last planet had been a bust, except for the other hunter that'd been skulking about 'covertly.' Now she'd try her luck on this pleasant planet. Eridu would be worse -- so much worse. Raven could only imagine how many hunters and assassins had gone to the most obvious place possible to find their mark. Quite a jaunt from here too, and they were likely to camp out waiting until something came up or they got lucky.

When the cockpit popped open, the Pantoran hopped over the side. She started walking the second her boots hit the ground, not waiting for the canopy to seal and lock behind her.

In fact, she ran.

You saw what floor?

Always a competition with the ravenous beast. Yes, Raven thought, humoring it. Someone was here and apparently they'd found something interesting, or they were an armed lunatic. Either way seemed like somewhere to begin providing the Marquis hadn't been put under so easily. Would be a shame if he had, but then nobles weren't known for being the hardiest creatures in the galaxy.

Once inside she crossed the interior of the building to take a gander outside in the direction the shot had gone. Before she started evaluating her next action, Raven needed to know if there was a point any longer. If he were dead then that was that -- no need to cry over it and find his assassin. Well, unless they got mouthy about their victory.

With his usual air of superiority and arrogance, the marquis walked out of the government building's entrance, flanked on both sides by soldiers which were escorting him out of there. His eyes scoured the bridge, even though he was fairly certain none would try to use that place to go for him. However, as the sun gleamed into his eyes, a slight shimmer, a glisten within his line of sight surprised him. Giver that he could not be too careful, he slightly moved his hand, using the force to stop a soldier from moving for just a mere instant. As it seemd that instant was enough to provide the answer that the marquis' hunch about the shimmer was correct. The soldier whom he had stopped in his tracks suddenly let out a gasp, his eyes going wide open as blood started to trickle down from underneath the side of the man's helmet.

As the soldier slumped down on the ground, the other guards escorting the marquis suddenly grouped up tighter, forming a seemingly unimpenetrable cordon around the Marquis, as they started to bark orders at eachother, with one soldier calling up to the security offices of the government building, while most of the others were just trying to pinpoint from where the shot had been fired and to keep the people on the bridge under control, trying to prevent a widespread panic from breaking out.

"Leav the body, move it," The Marquis' cold voice rang through at the soldiers, who stood up again and started moving, though this time keeping a tighter line with Credius at the center. "Have the Xa Fel security forces check the high rises to the east, the ballistics prove that the shot came from somewhere over there. I've got no time to dawdle, I need to be in the windham hotel soon for lunch."

With that being said, one of the soldiers seemed to talk through their headpiece, with a large limousine hovercar arriving near the end of the bridge to take the marquis away. If no more attempts would be made, the soldiers would simply keep on guarding him while scanningthe surrounding area, allowing for the Marquis to get in and go towards his next destination.
