Acceptance: 50 UC paid by A'ti A'ti
Bounty per Head: 2,000 UC paid by Gorba the Hutt Gorba the Hutt

The court room of the Bareesh boss, Gorba the Hutt, was devoid of the master's presence but sitting with one leg crossed over another on the edge of the large stone dias was the Twi'lek servant A'ti, a favorite of Gorba, and a mainstay within his court. Her attention was on a decently expensive datapad and shared with a Nikto man, they whispered to one another with a focus gaze upon the screen.

That was until A'ti looked up at the hunters who had been escorted in by the court's enforcers. A'ti signaled the Nikto to leave her and with a nod he did so, the servant stood and gave a bow to the prospective hunters while speaking in Galactic Standard with only a tinge of Huttese in her accent "I welcome you on the behalf of the magnanimous Gorba. It is the will of his excellency that the Broken Horn Syndicate be reined in and take their rightful place beneath the fair hand of the Bareesh Kajidic. It is imperative that you follow these instructions." she began offering thin metal cards, no larger than the size of Sabacc cards, which had engraved Huttese instructions and a payment order in credits. It seemed it was a analogue contract and token of sorts "In his great wisdom my master will only be accepting the severed heads of five members of the Broken Horn Syndicate. The rank of the harvested is of no consequence. There can be no more than five deaths associated directly with these renegades. In order to be of use to the Bareesh they must have a worthy membership quantity. To this end I have been authorized to award 2,000 credits per head presented to me with proof that they are of the Broken Horn Syndicate. Additionally all successful hunters will have their names celebrated within court's cantina under the generosity of the Kajidic's treasury - within reason of course. If any should demand a reason for your action against the Broken Horn you are authorized to inform them about your employment by the Bareesh." A'ti put her arms out in a showy manner while maintaining a dutiful tone "Let the people know of the majesty of the Bareesh, and of Gorba. Now, please, when you are prepared do make haste."

A'ti turned around then picked up a small wooden box which had been hidden behind her. She once again faced the hunters assembled, and opened the box while maintaining a deep bow "Please accept 50 credits of advanced payment for accepting this task." within the box were credit ingots, enough to pay each hunter assembled their initial acceptance fare.

H U N T E R

Objective: Reign in the Syndicates
Location: Lothal
Tag: Koda Fett Koda Fett | Enclave (OPEN)

Siv spat onto the desertified ground before he donned his helmet. A hushed whoosh emitted as the environment seal activated, and it was only a moment before Siv could smell the metallic recirculated nitrogen and oxygen mix flowing through his helmet, recycled gasses scrubbed clean from any airborne toxins or substances that wouldn't agree with the Mandalorian's human physiology.

From what little he'd read from the Enclave's datacrons during the hyperspace jump, Lothal had once been a nice place. A peaceful agriworld on the edge of the Outer Rim, it had gone relatively unnoticed -- and thus untouched -- by the chaotic galactic politics that had consumed much of that northern region. That was until the ethnocidal Bryn'adul had emerged and razed the Outer Rim, turning everything west of Silver Jedi space into the Scar Worlds. The Bryn'adul's rampage had never seemed as significant to Siv; they had always been the northerner's problem, with most of his work taking him west during the days of being a Confederate lackey. But surveying the destruction that had been wrought on Lothal, he couldn't help but be reminded of Mandalore.

He hated being reminded of Mandalore.

The only reason he was up in the Scar Worlds was a big Karjr job. Word was that the Hutts were beginning to coalesce, and with the Enclave's position of anti-crime, put a big target on the Mandalorian's backs. The Frontier War had stamped out criminal control of much of the southwest rim and cut off easy access to the Western Reaches besides. Allowing the Hutts to gain power unchecked was handing them a free shot at destabilizing the Enclave, and so the Mandalorians were striking first. Siv was no tactician, but he did know how to hunt. And he was expecting a fairly big payout from this mission, which was essentially simple. The Hutts wanted a certain Broken Horn syndicate on Lothal gone, and were sending out their hired lackeys to do so. Karjr's were tasked with making sure that they completed their objective -- after all, Broken Horn syndicate was a criminal syndicate at the end of the day -- but making it as costly for the Hutts to do so.

A little improv, and Siv and fellow Mandalorians would be able to do just that.

Hilal frowned when A'ti mentioned how much she was getting for upfront payment. 50 credits? That's barely enough for a Doublestacked Cragmoloid-style Bantha Burger combo at McYodas. How the hell did she expect her to be okay with a low payment? She sighed staring down at the metal card that the Twileak gave her. A major reason why Hilal jumped at the chance to join this Bounty Hunting expedition was because of the potential payout and the chance to work with Gorba the Hutt Gorba the Hutt one of the most powerful Hutts in the Galaxy and the leader of the Hutt Consortorium. Gorba was always handing out contracts with large payouts attached to them. Even though Hilal wasn't happy with the cheap down payment, this contract could pay dividends down the line. 2,000 credits per corpse from the Broken Horn Syndicate was not a bad payday albiet the method to confirm their deaths was gruesome to say the least.

"What does Lord Gorba want to do with these heads?" Hilal asked bemused at the request. "Is he going to put them on his Piano so every opposing criminal organization would know the price of crossing Gorba?"

The "joke" was just Hilal trying to cheer herself up. She was coming to grips of decapitating people. A Bounty Hunter must always be prepared to do the more gruesome jobs, this profession wasn't pretty despite what the romanticized Holofilms Hilal watched as a kid displayed. Mandalorians had to be to be brutal, it's how they survived, it's how they thrived. "What do you know about the Broken Horn Syndicate?" Hilal asked. "Where can we find some of them?"

Hopefully with these Bounty Hunters alongside Hilal were aware of the rules from the Bounty Guild. "These chits better not interfere with my Bounties," She thought gripping her Beskar laden gauntlets.

KWENN STATION
A'ti A'ti | Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla

He scoffed and the flicked the card, insulted as it skittered across the small amount of distance between the two. The Twi'lek was often see in the court of Gorba the Hutt, that much was true, but the same could be said for the Mandalorian. Often had Fett lurked around in the shadows, in the corners, as indifferent as he was uninterested in all the festivities the Hutt thrived in. His contracts wit Gorba counted to a decade, if not more, amd never in all that time had he been offered such a small reward - no matter the act, either Gorba believed himself of another standard now or A'ti had chosen to fund an adventure of her own with the stolen credits she could amass on short notice, now in the absence of the Hutt.

Either that, or the two of them wished to insult him.

Fett could never stand for that, that much he noted to himself as the tilt of his head followed his retort.

"Your offer is an insult. You can inform Gorba of that." He commented without much emotion. "Find me when there's a real offer."

Kwenn Station had become his home as of late, a den of thieves and murderers, but the same sort that warned off most authorities that wished to come for him. For now, no doubt to be sold out in time. Such was the nature of the world, or worlds, all seemed so similar it were as if each was the same. He motioned to leave for the broader station in his exit of the throne room.

The Saruton was busy shockboxing with a wookiee, knocking him out with an uppercut which send him flying into the stands. His attention was turned towards the door when guardsman from Beeresh arrived to inform him of a potential contact. Karkosuchus was busy preparing for the Operation: Chemical Compound directed to them by Thirteen. But the chance for credits was always an opportunity not taken lightly. The Director would no doubt be aware of their deviation from the plan. Joining up with his partner, a gand findsman & bounty hunter. The Sartuon would walk into the courtroom of gorba escorting by the court's enforcers. Although he made sure to send a message that he was the biggest person within the room by snapping at them with his large crocodilian mouth.

His yellow eyes gazed ahead at the Twi'lek Majordomo of Gorba, although the hutt lorda himself was nowhere to be seen. He listened with some semblance of interest as the majordomo explained their situation. The Broken Horn Syndicate was unknown to the saruton but if the hutt lorda wanted them dead then so be it. He took his thin metal card within his large hand looking at the instructions written in huttese. The Payment was small but considering it was an official mission from Gorba the Hutt, Lorda of the Hutt Space Consortium. Those that completed the mission would no doubt be celebrated within the court and offered more exclusive contracts.

The Mission was simple considering that bringing back evidence of their connection was easy, although bringing back physical proof was much harder for the always hungry crocodilian lifeform. He didn't have any objections to the mission although a faint whisper from his partner alerted him to the fact that this mission was for small fry and not big game hunters like they were. He had to agree and didn't say anything while Koda Fett stole the spotlight and declared that it was an insult to him. He watched as the infamous bounty hunter prepared to leave the room.

He was about to do the same, when his partner spoke up besides him.

The Gand Bounty Hunter known as the "Butcher of the Gordian Reach" was exploring Kwenn Station while he waited for Karkosuchus to get done within the shock boxing tournament. His bug like eyes scanned around every corner of the station to avoid any surprises, although the hutt space consortium ran the place. He was doubtful about anyone pulling the trigger because of a supposed insult. His brown long robes covered much of him and swayed in the circulating synthetic air. He was approached by enforcers of Gorba while he was within a weapon's emporium. R'koosslon had already been contacted for another job by their employer, Director Thirteen of Epsilon. Although that mission would have to wait until he had heard about the mission details from Gorba himself. Walking towards the shock boxing arena clutching his weapon within his hand.

Karkosuchus was done with the tournament it seems, as he was making his way out. The Gand walked alongside him as they were guided through the station towards the throne room of the Lorda of the Hutt Space Consortium. The enforcers would allow them entry into the chamber, although his partner snarled at them to show whom was in charge. The Gand Bounty Hunter had expected this reaction but said nothing of it due to the importance of the mission.

He also saw the twi'lek majordomo on the throne instead of Gorba. Somehow this mission was beneath the hutt's presence which made the gand slightly angered. They had been requested here to take a mission from gorba himself not one of his lacky's. The gand took note of the mission details and went through them within his bug like head, the objective was to break down the broken horn syndicate and make them an example of those that defied the Bereesh Syndicate. R'koosslon also took the metal disk within his hand, looking through the information in huttese.

The mission pay wasn't enough for either of their attentions, so he whispered to his sartuon partner that this was a bad job overall. Even though making connections with gorba was important, lowering themselves to going after small fry would harm their reputation as a whole. He looked over as the infamous & wanted man known as Koda Fett displayed his displeasure openly within the chamber, beginning to leave as the pay was an insult to him.

"R'koosslon will not take a job for low payment, we are big time hunters not after small fry."

The Gand voiced his own displeasure, before carrying on.

"If the almighty gorba can't offer more, R'koosslon and Karkosuchus are walking."

He further added, clutching his rifle within his hands. The payment must be increased or the pair would walk to find someone who could offer more.

A'ti straightened her posture and pulled the box of credit ingots closer to herself, first looking to Hilal with a smile and nod "The heads will be used as both initial proof and symbols. The Broken Horn Syndicate are a Devaronian gang, very distinctive features, and they have their base of operations on Lothal. As far as gangs go they are among the oldest still in operation though their funds are.... inconsistent." it would stand to reason then that the syndicate would be hard pressed to tender any form of military vehicle or have expensive battle droids to back them up, and if they did they would surely be dated models.

Then she watched Koda throw the metal card to the floor and make vocal his severe dislike of the proposed arrangements. Her eyes went from the card then to Koda with a placid expression "Your concerns will be relayed. Though I will remind you this task is more the initiates to the court. You were contacted out of respect, despite dashing it across the floor as it was." her attention went to the other hunters then and especially the duo that were equally as vocal as Koda. The Twi'lek turned away from Hilal to the other grouping, confident that Hilal had accepted the terms, and spoke in a firm tone "If you cannot see the benefit in establishing a working relationship with the Bareesh then please, by all means, take your weapons and leave - we can afford others - though do reconsider. Today you may cast aside the gift that is offered though tomorrow do not expect such invitations again, even those far more lucrative. The Consortium is growing and so is the influence of his excellency. Stand with the Kajidic now, prove your talent, accept the reward as offered, and should you return successful then use your new standing to petition for more." A'ti turned her head to Koda for a moment in silence then looked back to Karkosuchus and R'koosslon specifically "Even the most experienced among you will remember that there is effort, time, and patience required to make such arrangements worthy for both sides. Though should you still be unconvinced the cantina is still available for your patronage." with that A'ti took several steps forward to the two hunters and their companion and lifted the box towards them, offering them another opportunity to accept the bounty. Her eyes made contact with each of theirs and gave them both an urging nod. A'ti was hopeful that they would see the merit in exercise.

From the entry to the meeting space, a slender figure stood in the doorway, wide-brim hat and trenchcoat evident in the silhouette of the arrival. The discussion so far had been heard, some of the reasoning also, along with the general disagreement of the hunters who had gathered as to the reward of the contract. It did seem low, sure, and that generally wasn't a good way to introduce oneself to future contractors. But, in a time of continually fluctuating and shifting Governments, financial instability, and a lot of organizations that created their own law enforcement groups... well, sometimes it served to take the smaller job, in favor of a bigger one later.

"Sorry I'm late," Varm Nul said as he pushed off the door-frame and walked into the area with the others. The glowing red eyes and blue skin of the Duros were immediately visible once in the brighter space. His voice was gravelly, as he continued. "Someone is low-balling this contract. But I don't care. Your syndicate is startin' out, lots of upcoming work, I suspect... so, I'll perform for your boss. But for takin' this hit to my bottom line, I expect triple in future."

Whether the Twi'lek agreed or not, it didn't matter. Varm Nul knew that criminal elements such as these were prone to rapid growth, especially under a Hutt's control, with those slugs being savvy businesspeople. So it stood to reason that - despite the small enticement now - there would be plenty of work to follow, at which point the Duros would call the Twi'lek out on the claim for higher remuneration.

"So we understand one another: by your word, more payment next time," Varm Nul confirmed, as he inclined his head and stared at the other blue-skinned sentient with the lekku. "And you're coverin' ship fuel costs for this one. Good? Good."

With a glance to the others from beneath the wide-brimmed hat he wore, Varm Nul made a wry expression, as he regarded the other hunters and mercenaries. Several of them were well-known in the galaxy, yes, though it wasn't like bounty contracts were coming in from left and right, endlessly. Every professional knew the market of their trade relied on good will between hunter and employer, and if that meant taking a smaller reward to earn more in the long run...? Well.

"So... am I doin' this alone? I don't mind taking more reward for a solo job."

KWENN STATION, THE CLAMSHELL

He flashed no more than a dismissive hand over his armoured shoulder on his route towards the exit, one that was as broad as it was tall. It housed Gorba and thus came the demand for the dimensions that suited an ill-behaved Hutt, the Mandalorian once mused. Behind him had been the voice of that Gand, a boastful remark that concerned his status that Fett offered little mind to. If others chose to leave, that was their own decision. He made his. But the chance for another task worth far more credits down the line was on the line, and if the Twi'lek was a bitter sort then those credits were lost to him.

Pride was his vice then and there.

Beneath the secure fortress of Gorba the Hutt -- after the counltess artificial roads, the rise and fall of often defunct elevators -- the clamshell bustled as if all the life in there never found the chance to rest. Entire crowds of the colourful and exotic roamed free, the dense amount of foot-traffic unable to slow even for himself at the best of times. He was of a normal stature, left concealed behind the more 'creature-like' of the locals and visitors alike even in all that infamous armour.

In time, the Mandalorian nestled himself on an elevated boardwalk. It still found no small amount of inhabitants, mind, albeit less so than the endless shuffle of the common crowd underneath. It was a cantina of sorts, Fett surmised, still not so sure of all that it had been from his few earliar visits. Kwenn Station had become a home for him, in the meantime Lawlessness seemed to be all he could thrive in for now, either hidden from other states once in another or burdened with old wounds. He chose the lesser life instead.

"Bad offer." Koda answered the obese Devaronian, a coincidence Fett was sure. "Need to cover some losses. It wasn't worth the time."

He stood behind the bar as the Mandalorian half-leaned onto it, arms folded across his armoured chest. His cracked and broken horn added to that same coincidence, and his second if not third chin informed Fett that he was no warrior. His hands had use and washed several dishes, one after another, and delivered the orders of his often brief visitors. Kwenn Station housed few that wished to remain forever, that much was true.

The Devaronian nodded to the entrance, the arrival of the local authorities had caused a commotion. It wasn't the same as the on-world sort, no, these were mercenaries and mercenaries had demands of their own to be fulfilled. Bribes, more often than not. But no amount of bribes beat bounties. Some certain air about them, the room was off at once.

"These lot seem less fussed about their income," the alien nodded.

The Gand Bounty Hunter listened to the twi'lek explanation about the poor payment, boiling it down to either accept the job or be outcasted from gorba's court. Potentially losing bounties was unfortunate considering the rising actions of the Bareesh Syndicate. He thought about it within his head for a minute. 10,000 underworld credits overall was a low overall payment considering that they were breaking the backs of another syndicate. Further contracts could possibly raise this level for a considerable sum. Their reputation was on the line here and the gand wasn't about to sully their name with taking such a contract.

His white eyes overlooked the duros entering, within a signature attire that reminded him of the ancient bounty hunter cad bane. Perhaps they were related by some means as all duros looked basically the same. The Duros spoke with logic to the situation, bartering with the twi'lek to provide compensation in the form of fuel for the loss of revenue on this contract. The gand thought this logic over within his head coming to the conclusion that a only two bounty hunters were needed overall. The Mandalorian and the Duros would be able to handle the contract just fine without them. The duo had a passive income to rely on when bounties were scarce so taking the loss on future employment wasn't all that bad considering.

He adjusted his grip on his rifle, looking over as the duros spoke up once more.

"R'koosslon is willing to take a loss on future employment to preserve my reputation."

He said, willing against all other odds to reject the twi'lek's explanation tactics.

"R'koosslon and Karkosuchus will leave it up to, Mr. Nul and the woman to accomplish this contract. No need for overkill when dealing with such a small syndicate like the broken horn."

He made their decision known, bowing his head a little in respect to the duros bounty hunter. Making his way through the station now until entering into the same cantina has koda fett. Although paid them no mind for the minute as he sat down within a seat across from his partner. Grabbing a server by the shoulder the gand would order several drinks for his saurton friend and a small meal for himself.

"R'koosslon propose we take that job for 40,000 credits to offset our loss on that contract."

The gand said to his partner, pulling out a halo device with the mission details from his long brown robes. They had been tasked to exterminate a geonosian infestation on Altor 14 which would keep them busy for a few days away from Hutt Space. Waiting for his partner to speak up and voice his own opinion on the matter.

The Saurton Bounty Hunter simply snarled at the twi'lek woman who spoke to them in such a way. Although he did nothing to harm the twi'lek as they were from of Gorba's Court. Although the crocodilian warrior wasn't afraid of the hutt lorda in the slightest, finding them nothing more than an client who wanted someone dead for a reward. His eyes looked at the twi'lek with disdain as she brought over the box once more and offered them another chance to accept. Karkosuchus wasn't stupid enough to do anything until his partner came to a decision. They both had worked well before and taking the gand's advice had often got them out of trouble overall.

He smelled the scent of a duro entering into the chamber, peering over with his eyes at the man. He gazed over the man with a slight lick of his teeth finding them a suitable meal for later should the time come. He had enough intelligence overall to understand the logic behind the duro's words as providing compensation for a loss of credits was a common thing. His gaze turned back from the duros to his gand partner as they spoke, standing firm in the idea that this would harm their reputation overall for taking such a low contract. It would diminish their skill level within the eyes of the bounty hunter's guild.

Karkosuchus followed his partner as they both exited from the room, leaving it up to the duros bounty hunter and the mandalorian female to accomplish the task. The pair had another contract backed up incase this one fell through which they would now utilize in the face of their decision. He gazed around the cantina of the fortress as they entered, finding himself a seat across from his partner. Although saying nothing when the server returned a minute later with several drinks for the large crocodilian. Gulping them down one after another into his massive stomach was an easy task.

He overlooked the details of their backup contract, 40,000 for the extermination of some insects was a noteworthy idea.

"Take the contract, better reward for us overall."

He spoke using simple words, to still convey the idea that he was just an unintelligent monster to others.

"What have you done? You will be the end of us. You're worse than the Bryn'adul!"

Around a circular table, blue holoprojections of Hutts flickered. Not so many as there used to be at this table. Being genocided and driven to near extinction would do that, Gorba supposed.

"That's hyperbolic, Aroka, but Bareesh's decisions are dangerous. Letting these other syndicates control OUR territory? And ones run by slave species like the humans? Unacceptable," said another Hutt, young by their standards, at only a few centuries.

Gorba looked at the four projections floating around him and sucked in a breath, he felt a migraine coming on.

"Look," Gorba said, "Look around. You think we are strong now? You think we hold a fraction of the power we used to? We still don't know if Desilijic has even survived, but here you sit questioning my ways, when we are on the brink of extinction. We do not have a choice. We forge new alliances, let the outsiders think they are strong. And we grow. We use them to restore our power. We spread within them like a cancer, until we are all that remains. If we turn them against us now they will finish the job the lobsters started."

The other four Hutts scowled, but remained uncharacteristically silent. He had given them something to think about, at least.

Not one to lose the initiative, Gorba pressed on, "I propose a meeting of the Grand Council. The Kajidii must gather. We must be decisive. And we must be more aggressive. The old ways did not protect us from the Bryn'adul. If we are to survive, we cannot simply rely upon economic power. The lobsters did not care about stocks when they terraformed our jungles into volcanic wastes and used our corpses to feed their young."

More silence, then some nods. That was rare. Even Aroka nodded before speaking, "Well, Bareesh, I do not deny that a time for a meeting of the Grand Council is overdue. My people will discuss with yours, but it must be on Nal Hutta. I will not let you trample further on our traditions."

The were murmurs of assent.

Gorba lifted a hand, "Yes, yes, of course. We can continue this discussion before all the Kajidii on Nal Hutta."

With that, the Council of Elders adjourned, their projectors shutting off one by one.

Gorba's migraine was splitting now. His vision swam slightly.

Muttering to himself, the Hutt slithered out of the private conference room and locomoted through the hallways until he reached his audience chambers, picking up a cadre of Vodran and Nikto bodyguards along the way. By the time he arrived in the chambers there were at least a dozen surrounding him. Gorba saw he had visitors. His eye went from A'ti to the bounty hunters and back again. He merely grunted and slithered toward his throne, impatiently waving away their greetings with a hand.

It seemed several other hunters weren't interested, which was a shame, since Varm Nul would have appreciated seeing one or two of them in action. Since the Duros was mainly a mid-level freelancer, a sentient with some reputation but being known for getting a job done, the opportunity to work with the likes of Fett or the Gand - R'koosslon - would have been enlightening. Every bounty hunter had their way of operating, and Varm had been curious to see theirs, especially the latter with the Gand pairing with the large reptilian.

That same reptilian regarded Varm Nul like a meal.

The lick of the tongue said as much.

Varm Nul smirked.

The Duros tipped his wide-brimmed hat at the reptilian sentient. The trade was filled with bravado and ego, true, but every now and again there were hunters that were just 'good at the job'. No prolific standing out, no galaxy-spanning reputations, just a lasting career in a dangerous occupation, that should have warned others to be mindful. Varm Nul liked to think he fell into that latter category, as the quiet but effective hunter that just kept grinding the acquisitions game... and the fact he was still around, without a lot of the fancy armor or species-specific benefits - like thick reptilian hide - probably said more than any retort toward Karkosuchus could have.

The pair began to discuss a bigger job, one worth 40 thousand credits.

Good luck to 'em.

"I'm on the job." Varm Nul said simply, with one last glance to the Twi'lek Majordomo. "Won't be long."

Still, there seemed little reason to waste time, the job needed to be done, and the Duros suspected the Hutt's Majordomo wouldn't have any issues with the fuel costs. Often that kind of agreement was accepted by employers, usually as an unspoken term, but it made sense to vocalize the fact in this instance. The Duros turned and walked from the meeting hall, mere moments before the boss himself - Gorba the Hutt - slid in and took up occupancy at the head of the area. The Hutt seemed quite physical, still, able to move under his own weight, which told of the sentient's ability, and made Varm Nul gain further insight into the potential future employer.

Once out in the station proper, the Duros' red eyes caught the very distinct and familiar sight of Fett's Mandalorian armor. From overhead, across the way on a higher boardwalk, the well-known bounty hunter stood propped against a cantina bar. For a moment, Varm Nul wondered if he might actually see the famed hunter remove his helmet, to have a drink, but the inclination to see passed; far be it for the Duros to just stand there, watching with anticipation, when he could just as easily approach the other individual and engage in some professional discourse. It was also around that time that the Duros noticed the appearance of 'law enforcement', mainly mercenaries on the station itself, who had some level of authority from some source or another...

Coincidence they appeared? Doubt it.

It didn't take long for Varm Nul to cross the same expanse, take the same walkways and approach the same cantina.

"On your left," Varm Nul said in a low voice, as he stepped into the cantinas open entry, and sidled past the authorities and approached the bar. He took a spot beside the Mandalorian, then nodded to the server - a Devaronian, no less - and ordered a drink. "One of whatever the local tap is."

Varm Nul remained quiet after that, as he removed the wide-brimmed hat and placed it next to him on the bar, then rubbed his hand over the smooth skin of the top of his head. There were ways to approach other sentients, and then there were ways to approach other bounty hunters, and usually the former was easier. Still, the Duros was on a clock, he had a contract to complete, so he decided a few minutes of mutually contemplative silence was enough:

"Saw Gorba just now," Varm Nul said, nonchalantly, as though it was a discussion about the weather. "He looks young, for a Hutt. Movin' around by himself. Seems strong, physical, probably has a few decades in him before succumbin' to all that slug weight..."

Casually, Varm Nul glanced to Fett.

"Might be around a while. Lots of future work, assumin' that Twi'lek doesn't ruin the potential..." The Duros raised a brow. "Why don't you come along, complete the job? You're already out here and can even hop a lift on my ship - since we'd be goin' the same way."

It might have sounded like an odd request, so Varm Nul clarified.

"Call it professional curiosity. Wouldn't mind seeing more of your handiwork, besides job's a job, even if the credits are e chu ta... though, truth be told, I get why your reputation makes you hesitate..."

The server placed a drink in front of Varm Nul, who took it in long fingers and sipped the strange-looking liquid from the container.

"But. Might be some other contracts in the Lothal sector. Could double up on some bounties in one trip?"

A'ti looked at the bounty hunters who had declined with a weary expression, the politics of pay were tiring at times though she did understand that to some their image - or what they perceived to be a reputation - would be worth more to them than further employment in the future. She made sure that Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla , Varm Nul Varm Nul , and who ever else had previous accepted received their acceptance payment.

Whenever the Duros bounty hunter made the statement that she would cover his fuel costs she quirked an eyebrow but did not decline it. He seemed competent and eager in a professional way, both were good first impressions to have "Good hunting then." she nodded to both Hilal and Varm "Remember the terms." she made mention of their metallic cards. Reminders of the agreement's parameters, a form of contract and guide.

Then Gorba himself made his way into the court, causing a ruckus among the patrons of those at the cantina and those off to the otherside gossiping or discussing personal business. A'ti bowed her head and took several steps away from the stone, slab like, throne then looked towards the bounty hunters who beginning to leave "<Koda was insulted. He walked off after a fuss.>" she murmured to Gorba in Huttese "<The Duros and the Human woman have accepted and are going. There was one other but he went on his way before. I will give you a list, mighty Gorba, for those who declined.>" she looked up to the Hutt "<Shall I fetch the frogs?>" offering to get one of Gorba's preferred snacks.

Hilal gave a deep sigh, a 50 credit down payment was for all intents and purposes bullchit but the idea of getting work for the Hutt was enticing. "If this opens up more Bounty Hunting contracts AND more pay." Hilal said to A'ti A'ti . "Then I'll do it."

The young woman gave a soft giggle oh boy another joke began to form in her head. She stepped closer to the Twileak her suit joints whirring with every step. "I'll bring you their heads and place them on the Lord Gorba's Piano."

Hilal turned around feeling the eyes of every Bounty Hunter in the room. "Hey at least I'm going to be productive unlike you fine gentlemen" The young woman shouted. "And I'm sure Gorba has a large Piano too!"

Doroko entered the room just as Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla passed, though not before she scolded the remaining men in the room. He had heard through the grapevine that there was a Hutt rising to power rapidly in this region that went by Gorba or Gorditta…sometimes the grapevine isn't consistent. It did not take Doroko long to notice the metal cards and that one was laying on a table near the Twi'lek.

He didn't know the payout nor the job and he didn't really care at the moment. He had enough credits to his name to survive for several weeks having retired from his previous occupation and enough arrogance to take whatever job he could. What he needed was reputation, steady income, and an in with someone that could provide an upward path. What better way for fortune and glory than to make a name in the criminal underworld through contracts with a Hutt?

Doroko rolled his shoulders, his left hand holding his blaster rifle's sling which left his right hand open, though not for long. As he made his way towards the table he reached out with his right hand towards the card that lay in social no-man's land near A'ti A'ti "If you don't mind, then I'll be takin' this." His gruff voice rumbled through the speakers hidden from view on his helmet.

Regardless if A'ti A'ti interjected or not, assuming that no aggressive reactions were made, Doroko would turn his focus to A'ti A'ti "Do you work for Gorditta the Hutt, Twi'lek? If so, then what's the job?" It was at that moment that he noticed the Hutt further back in the room. Hopefully his intrusion wasn't unwelcomed. He was a durable, experienced, and skilled warrior in his own right but that seemed to not be terribly special in current company.

Vod.

It burned into his mind, the scent of ash and taste of blood. Oh, he hated that one word. Even the sentiment; that inclusion - it bothered him, burdened him. His was a crowd of one, it was all he ever allowed of himself. In another life, Fett mused as a cold stare reared over his shoulder to face the man that uttered that one word.

Fundamental differences too drastic to be set aside.

His name was associated with a few select words, even fewer of them could be considered kind. Isolated, second to ruthless; no one knew the Mandalorian, not in truth, his bark and bite came as one even if the sound of a blaster often said more than he ever needed to. It was his life, the hunt, and the life of that father that came before him - to lead the same life as a father that never even knew his name.

Far from fluent in Mando'a, the few words he ever learned were full of no more than torment.

"I could use the credits," his mind shifted to future contracts, future credits; "Tell the Hutt I'm in, but I need a bonus."

Fett conducted a lot of business for the Hutt. It allowed more room to secure better rates, most of the time.

Varm Nul scoffed beside the other hunter, as he stood near Fett.

"You can tell him," The Duros said, before he downed the drink and put the glass back on the bar. "Feel free to use the comm in my ship."

With a wipe of his dark-blue lips with the back of a sleeve, Varm Nul picked up his wide-brimmed hat and returned it atop his head. He fished out a credit, enough to cover the drink, and tossed it onto the bar. The server nodded. Then, with a cluck of his tongue, the Duros offered a sharp-toothed smile as he motioned behind him, outside the bar, beyond the nearby authorities that milled about.

"I'm on landin' bay fifty-three," Varm Nul said simply. He pushed away from the bar, then started to leave the establishment, but paused to glance over his shoulder. "I'll start the pre-flights, then we're off to Lothal. En route, I'll check in with some people, check contract availability... see you at the pad, Fett."

Then, nonchalantly, Varm Nul moved through the group of authorities and out onto the walkway. He started to saunter his way toward his ship, as he pulled out his commlink and opened a frequency. The response on the other end was immediate, before the Duros spoke:

"Get the ship ready, Gee-Three," The Bounty Hunter said in a low voice. "We've got company for this trip, so set up the galley just in case. Nothin' crazy, just the basics. Be there in about ten minutes."

"Yes, sir," The droid said in a crisp voice, which sounded vaguely humanoid female. "Starting pre-flights now. Location?"

"Lothal," Varm Nul replied, then clicked off the commlink. "This should be interesting..."

The Duros tucked the comm back into his trenchcoat, then continued his way to landing pad 53...

Coloured "....." are also words that Hex can hear , but I decided not to write them to reduce clutter

Hex sat on the edge of the bridge over the motorway with her legs dangling over watching the cars below flash past at high speed. She fiddled with her pistol, stolen off some imperial at some point, but now it was hers, she just needed to give it a nice paint job.

"Where is she?"
"I don't know, she'll be here alright"
"she might not? She might bail on you!"

Hex twitched her head, and shrugged
"Shh! We already discussed this, Lal is alright, she likes us."
"..does she?"

Hex just shrugged before putting her pistol to her head and "bang! ..now I'm in charge yeah!"

She laughed and tossed a small stone off the bridge, eliciting a loud beep from the car below. Genuinely though, Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla needed to get her ass into gear. She was the better talker of the two because, Hex, so she had gone to see those Hutt people about the bointies, she could sign them both up and then join her. The two of them had a plan already, if they could stop a whole bunch of them in transit, they might get a whole pile of lesser heads to add to any bosses they might nab. That's why she was here waiting. In the next thirty minutes, there was meant to be a bunch of Horns passing by and that would be the girl's queue.

She tapped her gun on the railing impatiently while she waited and shut her eyes as she rocked back and forth as if daring her centre of gravity to go too and let gravity do its thing.

The Gand was pleased when his saurton partner happen to agree to take the contract. Overlooking the fine details about the mission with the number of estimated guardsman and security stations littered around the place. One would think that this compound belonged to the Ancient Galactic Empire underneath Palpatine but they would be wrong. His bug-like eyes scanned through until coming across the actual location of the contract. Lothol...The irony of this situation was all too apparent. They had already rejected a mission for low payment involving the Broken Horn Syndicate.

They were within a tricky situation now to accept the contract, until he overheard the conversation with Varm Nul and Koda Fett. It seemed they were taking the contract for the broken horn syndicate after all, with the approval of fett. Although they could simply have another job lined up. The Gand signaled his partner to move towards the pair, clutching his rifle within his hand not in a threatening manner but enough to show that they were ready for any sudden intervention.

He had just missed the duros bounty hunter who went through the local mercenaries defending the station. They would have to contact the vessel of the duros within the docking station to signal their interest in the contract. Moving through the crowd now before fett left the cantina. The saurton pushed anyone out of their way using his bigger size and weight to make people move.

They entered into the docking bay where there own ship was parked. They had managed to acquire a Guardian Class Light Cruiser from the Marzoni Cartel. Naming it the Glorious Vision. The Light Cruiser was fast, heavily-defended and extremely well armed. Considering it was designed to patrol the remote and hostile systems at the edges of Imperial space unescorted and for prolonged amounts of time. The Gand and Saurton entered inside the vessel using the ramp which was lowered with a simple click of a button.

"Glorious Vision to Varm Nul"

The Gand said using the communication panel within the vessel.

"R'koosslon overheard a job on lothol, we are interested in it. R'koosslon would be willing to pay compensation for joining your mission"

The Gand further added, requesting permission to join them and offering compensation to allow them into the contract that they had established between one another. If they rejected then the gand and saurton would follow their own mission to lothol

He waited a reply from the vessel.
