  • Corporation Name: House Corek Forges

  • Locations: Contruum (Main 'For Profit' Operations) and Wayland (Experimental Testing Grounds)
  • Operations: Starship Manufacturing, Retrofitting and Scrapping
DESCRIPTION
The House Corek Shipyards unlike its ground based sister operations is a relatively new operation. Established by the House's current Alor barely five years ago after the banishment was lifted the Shipyards are a attempt to make House Corek, who are primarily ground based combatants, into a more well rounded House. Once the move from Saluecami was complete the Clan went about hiring shipwrights from across the galaxy, even acquiring some former KDY and CEC shipwrights, in order to facilitate the growing of their Shipyards. With shipwrights hired they constructed orbital shipyards as well as refueling and ship breaking stations. Like their sister operation the Shipyards are sometimes contracted by aruetiise to make ships, though these contracts are more highly scrutinized by leaders in the House.

RATIONALE
While very much newer than their ground based counterpart the Shipyards are run very much in the same way. Just like the Forges the Shipyards fall under the overall control of the House Alor, Alena Corek, and just like the forges as well the House Alor has delegated this duty to a trusted deputy and family member, her youngest son Flint who unlike most of the House has shown a affinity for starships, be it flying or building them, for his entire adult life. In the last five years Flint has taken the Shipyards and built a modest, but still respectable, fleet of ships for the House.
