DESCRIPTION
The first Hornets were developed by SoroSuub prior to the Clone Wars, since then they have remained one of Sullust's more popular capital ships on the private market. It is a light carrier intended for picket work and occasional deep space patrol. Over the centuries they've become a popular choice among pirate crews who value the sensor baffled ion engines for their low profile and the ability to launch a wide variety of support craft from their large pads.

Four small starboard landing platforms and two larger ones to port limit the number of ships that can be deployed by the Hornet at any one time. Retrieval process for the next ship in line is automated and fully overseen by the frigate's crew but requires thirty seconds to a minute. Despite its light armament the carrier itself is an effective if somewhat undergunned anti-starfighter frigate. Internal layout is very economical sacrificing luxury for every square inch of space possible.
