Honey, I'm home! [SJO,The Army of Light]

The darkness lays ever near the light.
Kashyyyk - 851 ABY
~ Aboard T.I.N Horizon ~

"Come on Darren, why the hell are you nervous?" Darren sat aboard his newest business corvette - the T.I.N Horizon, contemplating why he was even the slightest bit nervous to go back to the order that made him who he was. The Silver Jedi used to be his life, the reason he got out of bed every day - but he left them behind. He abandoned his friends, up and left without saying a single goodbye. Perhaps what haunted him most is that he didn't say his final goodbyes to his master, [member="Arisa Yune"], before she died. Every day he thought of what could've happened if he had stayed - perhaps he could've saved her from whatever fate she met. He knew there was no point in dwelling on the past, yet he couldn't help it.

Another he left behind, [member="Valkren Calderon"] - he loved him like a brother. They had been through thick and thin together but again, Darren just left him behind. Though he could still apologise to Valkren, he couldn't with those who had died.

The Zabrak had been keeping up with the latest news surrounding the faction, well, the galaxy as a whole really. They had relocated to Kashyyyk, leaving Voss behind, due to the Sith efforts prevailing. With Arisa's death, a new Grandmaster had risen to power within the order - [member="Valae Kitra"] - he had met her on Ord Radama, and he knew that she would be a great leader from the minute he met her.

Darren had been busy while he was away from the order, between running Torr Industries and fighting Crime Lords on the side - he didn't have much time for himself.

And he still didn't have time for himself - he was on Kashyyyk today for help, from his friends - if they even listened him out. Darren was here because he couldn't take on his next target alone, he needed help from people who knew what they were doing, people with experience.

"We are nearly there, Sir."

"Good. Land wherever you can - I know it's hard in this place"

"Yes sir. Landing shortly."

Darren took a deep breath, "Come on Darren, let's go."

Josh knew of, and had worked with Torran briefly, and had been made aware of his departure. But he also knew that was just the nature of the Jedi, some came and went, that was how things were and that was how things would always be, so as long as it wasn't done in the form of betrayal... Well, he wouldn't condemn him for walking away to better himself. Regardless, the member of the Silver Jedi's Silver Assembly hadn't been expecting his arrival, and was actually making plans to go on mission after a meeting with the Assembly.

The Jedi Master would walk out from the meeting chambers, taking a deep breath as he would look up at the sky then, curious... He felt like he recognized the vessel touching down, but he just couldn't put his finger on it...

Watching as the Assembly members filed out of the chambers, Valae Kitra stood for a moment alone in the room. Despite the rather busy war-times that had found some of their allies, the Silver Jedi were doing quite well here on Kashyyyk. Still, the Grandmaster knew that this time of respite may not last for long – it was an ever present worry in the back of her mind. Letting a slow breath escape, she attempted to force her mind to focus on the present. After all, worrying wasn’t a good use of time.

With a bit of free time ahead of her, she walked through the halls of Silver Rest.

She stopped off at the Café to grab a quick cup of herbal tea, and then made her way outside into the fresh air of the courtyard. It was refreshing to be outside, to watch the trees sway in the breeze… it was one of her favorite things about Kashyyyk. Walking along one of the paths, she let her gaze drift along the neatly manicured garden landscape – there were hearty evergreen plants and even some seasonal flowers in bloom.

Parking herself on a bench, she cupped her warm mug in both hands.

As she sipped the soothing blend, her chestnut eyes turned towards the sky. There was a ship lowering down onto the landing. Her brows rose curiously, had they been expecting any visitors? Little did she know that the unfamiliar ship carried someone that was very familiar indeed.

The sound of combat boots bounding constantly off the pathways about silver's rest was all Valkren could hear. Himself, and the three men behind him of the first ranger special tactics unit had taken it upon themselves to remain in shape in-between deployments. Usually, the air would be loud with cadences and chants that many rangers are taught during basic training, and he would have usually been leading a whole formation of soldiers for morning PT..But this was different. The Raider's group was only about the size of a platoon or so, and with the specialized operators always being on the move, they had to get in their workouts and training exercises whenever they could.

The small group navigated their way through the civilians at a quick pace, Jedi and soldiers also at silver's rest for their own reasons, sporting standard issue blue-and-grey pt shorts and a mix of dark blue tank tops or compression-shirts. Their dog tags were also on display due to their bounding movements.

It was visible that Valkren had made the group run quite some time due to the pained expressions on all of their faces and them being drenched in sweat.

Eventually, Valkren stopped, the three behind him following suit as soon as they reached the exact location of the colonel's ending. Calderon gasped for air, placing his hands over his head momentarily as he walked in a circle, doing his best to take his mind away from his sore body.

"Shouldn't...Shouldn't have gone out last night." Lowder piped up some words in-between heaves for air, only pulling harsh laughs from the others in their own attempt to regain air.

Valk' cracked a smile at this, leaning over to place his hands on his knees and let his body 'rest,' so to speak. The sudden sound of a ship's engines brought his attention to the sky through the canopy above them. He'd reach a hand over head to block a beam of slight sunlight that pushed through the branches above them.

"Ship looks' like it's landing on a pad close by, how about we double the trail to the pad and we just cut the distance off our run tomorrow?" Valkren questioned, turning the others behind him.

"We're working out tomorrow?" Sergeant Plexico suddenly whined, before receiving a stern, 'punch-in-the chest' from Harris.

The Lieutenant just turned back to Valkren after this, straightening his posture as he finally began to regain some breath. "Lead the way, boss."
