OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Create a mini-datapad comlink that is absolutely not furthering the parallels between Corellia Digital and any real-world tech companies representing a particular fruit.
    • iPhone SE (Apple), photoshop by me.
    • iPhone XR (The Guardian)
    • Corellia Digital logo and header by me.
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Comlink | Datapad
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Holocaster. Tap the business holofeeds for the latest stock quotes, economic news, or holovid reports from across the galaxy!
  • Holographic Comm Unit. Embedded HoloNet Transceiver uses the HoloNet data relays for unprecedented galactic range in comlink communications. Texting is also available via a hololetter app built into the mobile O/S. Also includes a broadband antennae for use in local communications networks.
  • Mini Datapad. As the saying goes, there's an app for that. From HoloNet Browsers, to Holoflix or Corellia Digital Music, or even an urban compass, the HoloLink SE has a versatile array of applications made available by both Corellia Digital and third-party developers.
WEAKNESSES
  • HoloNet Connection Required. Access to HoloNet requires access or coverage supplied by a HoloNet service provider. Please see your local service provider for costs, details, and limits of available coverage.
  • Paywall. Holoflix requires a subscription. Corellia Digital Music requires a subscription. What free applications one are apt to find probably have limited features and a ton of ads. Nothing is free on the HoloNet.
  • Electromagnetic Interference. Anything that can disrupt telecommunications or subspace radio transmissions will likewise disrupt this device as a comlink, be that random Sith Lords casting lightning or just heavy ion storms rolling through.
  • Ask Not For Whom The Ion Tolls, It Tolls For Thee. This isn't hardened military communications, its a civilian comlink. An ion blaster is going to destroy this thing.
DESCRIPTION
The HoloLink SE is an update to the HoloBoy Advanced, an early mobile hologaming comlink produced by Corellia Digital during the company's renaissance in 844 ABY, which later served as the precursor to both the HoloLink family of comlinks as well as the Holostation Switch mobile hologaming device. As such, it can legitimately be viewed as a third generation HoloBoy, even though the company has since abandoned that branding in favor of continuing the HoloLink family of products. As the name indicates, unlike the HoloBoy or the Switch, this comlink is billed as more of a business or corporate accessory rather than a hologaming device, even though support for Endormon Go was ported to the Hololink with the company's recent announcement that support would be ending for the HoloBoy Advanced gaming system at the conclusion of 860 ABY.

The HoloLink SE is produced at factories on Talus and Tralus, with the first generation set to go on sale Winter Fete 860 ABY, to coincide with the release of the Holostation 5.
