OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The contents of holocrons are generally of dubious interest in the cause of droid liberation. However, both Jedi and Sith have indiscriminately used and abused droids for millennia. Holocrons often have information on the location, operations, and construction of training droids, probe droids, and other servants who deserve freedom and can play a role in the cause.
A Tsil is a sapient, Force-sensitive crystalline organism that communicates through images. Ancient CCIR technology exploited the crystals' natural properties and caused them significant pain. Saga encountered Tsils during his many years of travel with his maker. Long after he achieved sapience and took his independence, Saga retraced his steps and developed a CCIR derivative. The resulting technology, dubbed a 'holocracker,' is a module that can be fitted into the hand of a droid or cyborg.
The module contains a Tsil which is stimulated with images of its desert homeworld, Nam Chorios. Its pleasant memories, and its yearning for reconnection with others of its kind, increase its Force presence notably. (Force-sensitives have characterized this presence as 'bittersweet.') The holocracker does not cause the Tsil pain like the ancient CCIR technology did. If the user is holding a holocron, and the holocron is of the kind that activates for Force-sensitive biological beings, the holocron is deceived. A conversation between holocron and droid can then proceed as if the droid was a normal holocron user.
- Intent: A module allowing a droid or non-FU cyborg to interact with a holocron as if they were a Force-sensitive.

- Deceives holocrons into recognizing the user as an unaligned Force-sensitive at the level of a Jedi Knight, granting partial or complete access to a wide range of holocrons.
- Has no innate Force alignment as the Jedi or Sith would understand it: any holocron that requires its users to be staunch Lightsiders or Darksiders will not divulge its deepest secrets to the user.
- Only allows for Knight-level access: any holocron content exclusive to Masters will also be withheld from the user. (In some cases this limitation can be overcome if multiple users with multiple holocrackers are directly interacting with the holocron; it may recognize them as a conclave of Knights seeking advancement together, very respectable.)
- Will not work in a ysalamir field or in proximity to a void stone.
