Higher (SJO/Mandalorian)

Vaux couldn't help but chuckle as she watched Kyra Perl Kyra Perl , Acaadi Acaadi , and Ezekiel Breaker Ezekiel Breaker . It was fun to watch the trainees get excited over the potential of flying a TwinTail. She laughed even more when Kyra got excited at the droid that would be joining her.

"Well, Kyra. She is mounted to the ship." She then walked up to her red fighter, getting into the pilot seat and strapping in. She then tapped the comms. "Comm check. Ok. First things first is starting the engines." She then ran through the TwinTail's start up procedure. It was simple really, and hadn't changed between her newer model and the ones used by her class, so the pilot knew it like the back of her hand. Once everyone ad finished the start up, Vaux called out. "Ready?"

Acaadi offered Kyra a wave and a grin. She was overjoyed at being at the helm of a star fighter. As much as he wanted to share that with her Acaadi was going to do so in his own way. This was an important moment for him. He was happy to have Kyra here, but he needed to also focusing on doing this right.

Acaadi had wanted to be behind the stick of a real starfighter for as along as he could remember. Now he was sat here, the engines thrumming as he competed the ignition sequence.

He found the communications console to his left.

"I'm ready to take off," he said over the public channel where the trainer could here. Then he turned towards Kyra, noting the number of her ship. He switched his microphone to a private channel between them.

"Can you believe we actually get to fly?" he asked incredulously.

Ezekiel sat up in his seat and followed the direction of the Commander, turning on the TwinTail's engine. The sound of the ship booting up told the operative that he didn't make a mistake during the process. He spoke into his comm after the procedure. "I'm good to go Commander." He gave a thumbs up as he spoke. Laying back into his seat, Ezekiel waited for the next set of instructions.
